Walgreens in the Brazos center has always been great to me but when I really needed their help they exceeded my expectations in the pharmacy , Robert ( pharmacist ) went the extra mile to help me with my outrageously expensive medication . my insurance lapsed and the self- pay portion was upwards of 1000.00 dollars for one medication for a month supply. even if I broke that up weekly ,it's still 250.$. Robert had a solution , he helped me with a coupon , until I got my insurance back on track in a couple months. The medication I speak of helps me remain sober and clean from 36 years of drug addiction. I've been clean and sober for 10 years . this medication assists in my sobriety. I would not be where I am today without it along with other changes in my life . Robert realized the importance of this medication and went above and beyond his job duties to care enough and help me through this couple months . I've been a customer of Walgreens for a very long time ,and using this medication for 10 years . I was panicking , scared , and lost , I did not know what I was going to do without my medication. I cannot afford 250 a week / or 1000 a month for one med. I searched high and low for assistance , no one would help. at a last minute effort , I called the pharmacy at Walgreens just to see if there was anything at all they could do ( I had spoken to them early and they were not willing to or did not know how to help me) Robert answered the phone and I thank God that he did! This location has the worst pharmacy ever! They do not answer the phone for prescribers. They will answer the phone just to say "Walgreens Pharmacy please hold". Walgreens Pharmacy techs needs education on customer service. They are extremely rude when speaking to a customer. When I stopped by to drop my prescription through drive through the young staff portray an unwelcoming attitude and her responses were abrupt, rude and sharp. I decided to choose this facility because it's close to home. But if the staff treats people in a disrespectful manner, I would rather use CVS or other locations who are welcoming. I moved my prescriptions here because my cvs location has closed down. When you try to call them they will put you on hold forever. I went in and told them my concern and I said I will tell corporations they said go ahead. This is the type of business you be conducting? If I have other options I will not come here at all. Walgreens your staff is horrible. This is the 2nd time we've waited in line for half an hour to an hour in the drive thru for medicine. Tonight, your staff says I will have it for you tomorrow. I said, No. It's amoxicillin, you can't tell me your out of amoxicillin. Maam, we're busy. I don't care how busy you are. I want my child's medicine. Fine. I will have it for you in an hour and a half. I said, so you actually have the medicine. I want it now. She said the best I can do it half an hour. Lazy f'n ***holes. we went to this location to pickup are same day photo book as a christmas gift(already late it's the 29) and took a hour and half to create and customize it, and the screen was horrible and slow always on the loading screen. then once we placed the ordered it said it would take around a hour we saw photo books on display AND when we arrived in the back so we assumed they were in stock unfortunately they didn't have ink OR PAPER to print. very disappointed wasted a lot of time making it. would have been nice to know what they could make in the same day once again very dissatisfied by the service at this location would not recommend not to mention... the photo book lady said it would not be ready until another week WHEN it is SAME. Beyond furious to say the least!! I tried calling and they placed me on hold over 8 minutes while I was enroute to the location. Let's just say I made it there before they even answered to help me on the phone. I get there and the lady at the drive thru told me that my medication would not be done until after 2 pm because the medication was coming from Dallas today. They really do try at this location, but can never keep up. Try and go on different days and times and still back up. Either they need more employees or another location out here. I went in this store for the first time yesterday to put money on a prepaid card. I have done this many times at other places. So the lady at the counter need additional customer service training. NOT everyone steals. I asked her if I should swipe my card or insert it. She answered YOU NEED To give me The money first. In a stern voice. I have put hundreds of dollars on this card before. So? This Walgreens location is always cleaned and well stocked. They usually seem short staffed in both the pharmacy and in store, but are friendly and helpful. They have a pretty broad selection of items. I also love how you can print photos from a flash drive or phone. read more

I can't say they warrant a 1 star review, but here goes. My son needed antibiotics for his arm, and the script was sent 2 hours prior. I try and call to let them know I'm on my way while in transit. There was no answer or can you hold please, just a pick up and put back on hold, for 4 times, then I get there and their not swamped, but a little busy/steady. They then tell me that they don't have it, and I have the document showing it went through e-scribed. After about 5 minutes, they find it, and they say that they are working on it and it will be out soon. The young man, doesn't have much for manners and asked if I could move to the side without a please or thank you, or sir, but at least the pharmacist had manners. After waiting about 40 minutes, no updates, they just keep filling other prescriptions besides filling mine. I only get an update when I asked, which stated they have a problem with getting it to be filled, but before that she just kept filling rxns. They say again it's a problem, and they will get it filled. Then right before closing they haven't even started filling my RX because there is an issue with the system letting them type it up. So, it's almost an hour and nothing yet. I just don't understand why they wouldn't address my issue an hour ago when I arrived, and if they would have answered the phone they could have had a head start on the issue. They also could have called and got a verbal real quick or at least told me that there was a problem electronically, so I could have called the urgent care and have them re send my RX, but I was left in the dark until the very end. In all fairness, the pharmacist did take ownership of the problem and is staying after to get it filled, and I really appreciate that. She could have said it wasn't her problem and carried on. However, the lack of customer service and common sense to call the urgent care that is open for a new script or to resend or to just print the RX and scan it back in and immediately to fill my script before everyone else is just not good customer service and is rather inconsiderate. Man I went from 3 stars to 1 in the period of an hour and a half. No communication to the patient and honesty could have helped tremendously. read more

Today was the last straw when one of the meds for my daughter was not in stock. Mind you it was antibiotics that needed to be started as soon as possible. I am now back and I've been in line for about 15 minutes. I called the pharmacist to ask what was the delay and she was no help whatsoever!!!! Don't go here. I have been an RN for 30+ years so I have knowledge concerning medications. During the past 16 months that I've used this particular Walgreens they tried to give me the wrong medication on three different occasions. One of the medications was an oral agent for lowering blood sugar, second occasion was something that the clerk couldn't pronounce and after much insistence on my part he finally admitted the med was for someone else. Other time it was a blood pressure medication they tried to give me that wasn't mine. These people are very rude but most of all DANGEROUS! My insurance dictates that I use Walgreens and my physicians office is in partnership with Walgreens otherwise I wouldn't use them. I've informed my physician of their carelessness. Be very careful and check your prescriptions because they don't act like they know what they're doing. This is the worst Walgreens! read more

My hubby had a late dental work done where they pulled multiple teeth out. He came home with a prescription and I rushed over to Walgreens. I didn't realize this location closes their pharmacy out early and when I initially arrived they told me they were closing. I asked the young man to please fill it because of my hubby's situation. My son takes medication that can not be skipped or missed. I called it in on a Sunday, Monday they say they ordered it. Wednesday I call to see what is going on with the medication. They tell me that it is to soon to fill it. I tell them it is not and they ask which medicine it is. Oh, we will fill it and you can pick it up today. I was not allowed to pick up my photos that I sent in 4x6 format. They claimed it looked like a passport photo. Come on, if you are going to judge a photo please have the correct size of a passport to check! My photos were in much of a close up than what it would be allowed for a passport photo. Walgreens if you are going to proceed with a ridiculous procedure like this, at least train your employees properly on how identify the photos. It's totally unnecessary. I have to thank the pharmacist that helped me and my dad the other day with my anxiety medication. We recently moved and my because my dad works at a retail that is based in New England he had to quit. So we had no insurance for a month. We used good RX to get a coupon for my meds but it wasn't working. The pharmacist took her time to look online and figure out why it was not working. I came in looking for a humidifier for my son, since ours had broken the day before and he was developing a cough. At checkout I noticed it rang up a different price then I had thought. Even though I told the cashier (Gloria) that it was probably placed in the wrong place by another customer and I did not cross check the tag to the item I wanted to purchase, she called the manager (Richard) for a price check. While we waited, she started looking to see if there was a coupon she could offer me. The manager double checked for me and it was as I had thought, a simple mistake. Instead of leaving it at that, he took me back to the humidifier section and we went through my options for something a little less expensive, even checking the back to make sure all stock was out. When we couldn't find anything else that fit what I was looking for, he then went to his computer to see if there was anything else he could do. I did wind up purchasing the original humidifier as well as a few other things and I am still in awe at how above and beyond these two went to help me when they could have just said they were sorry and gone on with their day. Absolutely insanely bad service. I had been told my medication would be arriving Wednesday so when Wednesday rolled around and I had received no call, I went ahead in-store and got told my medication hadn't been ordered but that they were doing it then and it would be ready by Friday. The date it would be ready for pick up was pushed back three more times, each resulting in me having to go in store and assured that it had been ordered and would be ready before the Sunday when I would be leaving the city. I receive no phone call and finally the day before I leave I go to the pharmacy only to find out that this whole time my medication hadn't even been ordered and wouldn't arrive until after I had left if they ordered it in that moment. The woman helping me was very sweet and trying her best to help me but the absurdity of reassuring me my medication was ordered and would, at the very least, get here at the last second only to tell me at the exact last second that it had never been ordered was absolutely poor service. read more

If you're just running in and out for like a snack or make up, it's not terrible (although it's still slow). The pharmacy is a freaking nightmare. TaShane said it's a minimum of a 20 minute wait if you go through drive thru and that's being generous. To add to that, there is NEVER only 2 cars in the line. It's usually around the building. If you think "hey, I'll go inside, that's gotta be faster!" Nope. Wrong. Takes just as long but now you have to stand while you wait and avoid making eye contact with everyone else that's waiting. Their pharmacy is a joke. Several instances where they truly show poor customer service. One time my son had strep and she could not understand me saying my sons name which is BERY common and she met screwing up his birthday. Then she couldn't understand that I didn't care what the med cost, to give it to me. She kept telling me "sorry it isn't covered by insurance" I kept saying OK and waiting. Even the person who helped her have her a look like WTH! Usually $4 with insurance $52 without. I DID NOT CARE! Then another instance where they said 5-10 minutes and I waited over 30 with me finally asking what's up and the pharmacist saying she told the clerk 2 times it was ready. Finally, I went in and they couldn't even find my husband in the system after we'd picked up twice prior for him. The lady kept entering his last name misspelled after I'd corrected her twice. The test of the store is great, but take your scripts elsewhere or you'll deal with pure incompetence. read more

So, my Doctor wrote a prescription for a VGO 40 kit, I needed at least a 30 day supply before the end of the year as my insurance was changing. Due to convenience, I dropped off the script at the Walgreen's on FM 762 on a Friday. I was informed that they VGO kit would not be ready until the following Monday, which was fine. The following Monday I went into Walgreen's to pick up the kit and the Humalog vials, yes plural vials, that go with the 30 day kit. It was busy and the person helping me at the time had no clue as to what I was talking about, even though I showed him the text I received 30 minutes prior saying the kit and meds were ready for pickup. They weren't, but I could see the large VGO box sitting on the counter near the pharmacist, Jenny. I was told it would be just a couple minutes and I would be called up as soon as she entered the information. 45 minutes later, I had to get back in line because the communication skills are nonexistent behind the counter. After becoming rather upset at having to wait over nearly 2 hours for something that should have been done and ready as per the text indicating so, I was in no mood to stand around. Which I should have to ensure the order was filled out properly. Which it wasn't. In fact, I was charged 6 times more for the single vial I received, when my insurance at the time, claimed I should pay no more than $10 per vial. I went back into Walgreen's talked to Jenny the pharmacist, who is beyond rude and condescending if you question her about meds that you know are incorrect. She will pull out her calculator and try to do some calculations to prove her being correct, even when she is patently wrong per the picture: http://i.imgur.com/45z7CKW.png After getting nowhere with her at that time, I went home furious beyond belief and my loving wife called the insurance to verify how many vials I am supposed to receive. The number the insurance covers is 10 vials for a 90 day supply. So as I was only getting a 30 day supply 3 vials would suffice. I left a message with Walgreen's corporate, which was sent to Mark the store manager. Who is truly a nice person and only wanted the situation resolved. My wife called Jenny and explained to her what we needed and that she should call the help desk of our insurance, per the insurance company's request, to help her dispense the meds. However, when I was able to go back and meet with Mark and Jenny, the pharmacist, I was accused, by Jenny, that I was "misusing" my medications by asking for more than one vial and she again pulled out her calculator to try and prove her point. Sadly, Jenny disregarded the request to call the insurance company and called my Doctor to "verify" the order. Which is against all medical standards and practices. You do NOT verify a medication after you have dispensed it, that is dangerous and a breech of the patient trust in your medical professional. Jenny is rude and inconsiderate and will not take a request to call the insurance company until you threaten to report the overcharging as insurance fraud. I never say someone should be fired, but Jenny needs to find something other than medical care to do. In my 20+ years as a Respiratory Therapist in level IV trauma centers, and my wife's 15+ years as an ER nurse, we've never encountered this level of incompetency. The worst customer service with the most attitude! They were out of a drug I take regularly for over a month. When I called to get status, I was told the drug was back ordered with no ETA. They made no offer to call my doctor to get a Rx for a short term supply for a drug in stock. When I said I was tempted to move all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy, I was basically told to go ahead. (I did move them all, by the way.) I then took the time to send an email to their corporate office to explain the poor customer service and have not heard a single word back. Walgreens is the absolute worst in Rosenberg; I moved my prescriptions to Kroger and so far they are doing everything perfectly! read more
