Been in Blaine almost 2 years and finally got around to dropping in. Its different with having to go place your order at a counter (a younger couple came in after us, and left dejected not understanding the order yourself thing and left unhappy after 10 mins). The QR code for ordering beer was nice, my wife had a flight. The food was delicious tho. The steak with my wife's salad was melt in your mouth tender, and my bacon cheeseburger was very well cooked and the cheese perfectly melty, tho a touch under seasoned ( I like a little more ground pepper). It was very clean, tho a bit noisy, so don't expect a quiet meal. read more

The fries were delicious and I would eat it again. The hamburger was pretty good. The milkshake was... okay but a bit sickening. It tasted like McDonald's shakes, but with a ton of whip cream and other added desserts. I nearly wanted to throw up a couple of times drinking it. Overall, for $23, it's expensive. I would spend that money somewhere else. In summary, I'd only be back for the fries, and maybe the pizza since I've heard it's really good there. Otherwise, I'd skip the place. read more

Cool place! Tipsy Steer shares a parking lot and building with Invictus Brewing. When you walk in, Tipsy Steer is on the right when you walk in and Invictus on the left. Order at the counter and shared seating- a unique concept. Tipsy Steer has a refreshingly unique menu with lots of great options for every taste. It sounds like they focus on local ingredients, which is always a plus. I got the raspberry chicken brie melt which was really tasty (though a bit messy) and they're fries were good! My husband got a pizza which was really good, but seemed to have way too little gorgonzola on it, he wasn't even really sure if it was even on there until he got a bite where he could taste it. Great crust, sauce, and other toppings though. The service was disappointing, neither the lady who took our order or the one who gave us our food were friendly at all. Great options and great food, poor service. Next time we're in the area, I'd go back for sure! Lots of other menu options that looked good. read more

I was so excited to try this this place. Tonight we went out for a family birthday celebration. Lets start with the positives. The staff was fun and friendly. Food was brought out in a timely manner. The atmosphere and decor are amazing. The food was okay at best for me. We got the armadillo eggs for a starter. These were delicious. Well seasoned ground sausage and beef. They were stuffed with cream cheese, goat cheese, charred jalapenos, bacon, drizzle of raspberry chipotle over a bed of fries! The best thing we ordered. We also ordered the short rib grilled cheese. This was a short rib, cheddar, smoked gouda, fried green tomatoes, caramelized onions. The only flavor I could taste was onion. The meat bland and the cheese wasn't very complimentary or with flavor. It needed less onion and maybe a little bbq sauce. We also wanted to try a pizza so we went with chicken pesto. Walk up counter for ordering food, line may look long but goes pretty quickly and food comes out timely. I ordered the BLAT which was fantastic and the bacon was thick and meaty! Our group also ordered some pizzas and the O so delicious shakes. Margarita pizza had a sweet taste to it and the sausage pizza had perfect amount of sauce and meat. Kids chicken strip was average for a kids meal. Late night they only serve pizza and desserts. I would come back just for the shakes alone but everything I have had has been good. read more

We came here for dinner last night. It was very busy. There were a lot of soccer games going on near by at the blain sports center. Even though it was busy and parking lot full, the were still tables available. It's an open warehouse like area. The restaurant part, tipsy seer, is at one end and the brewery, invictus, was on the other side, and tables in between. You order up at the counter and then go sit and wait for your food. My husband and I both got the faribault burgers with fries. Service was fast, and very good. I was super hungry and scarfed it down. Plus I had good beer to wash it down with. They also have pretty good looking shakes. My husband got one for dessert. It came with a cookie and chocolate covered pretzel rod. read more

This place is a hidden gem! By far the best food I have ever had at a brewery and the atmosphere here is a 10/10. My fiancé and I came to check it out as a potential venue for our rehearsal dinner, and I fell in love right away with the large, open space with many TVs (hard to find in many breweries but great when you have a lot of friends/family members interested in sports). We got a flight from the Invictus counter and ordered the Raspberry Brie Chicken Melt, the BLT, and the milkshake of the month (Mint Chocolate Chip for March) from the Tipsy Steer counter. Every thing came out quickly and the Raspberry Brie sandwich was easily the best sandwich I have ever had. I still crave it daily. I left here that day SO thankful we just bought a house down the street! This will be a staple and we have officially booked their party space for our rehearsal dinner! read more

We have eaten here a dozen times during the past year. My favorite dinner is the sunfish. Nice flavor with a great crispy Panco batter. The fries were excellent. My second favorite dinner is the pastrami sandwich with carmalized onions. It is a nice sized sandwich, excellent bun, and the meat is very flavorful. This is a nice addition to the northern suburbs. Food options are pretty unique but also offer beer hall staples. Really enjoy the pastrami sandwich and nachos are a great take on the option when proportioned well. Pizzas are something that you should always have as a shareable on the table. Everything was packaged extremely well, the food was hot, and most importantly everything tasted amazing. I really like the open concept and the food has been top notch. Typical bar food, burgers, tacos, & pizza with decent prices. It would be nice to have a little more customization. You order at the counter and find a spot, I would've liked to see someone helping to seat after you order. The Invictus Brewery aspect has some good beers also reasonably priced. Probably my biggest complaint is the noise level, the place is loud but exacerbated whenever they move a table or chair across the concrete floor, my teeth are still rattling. It's still a great place but don't expect to relax and talk unless everyone else has left the building. read more

We had a college hockey game date night planned at the Blaine Super Rink and wanted to find a new place in the area. It was a Friday night and parking lot was full with people spilling out the door at 6pm. Wife went in to find a spot at the bar luckily! Great open spaces and we discovered that the restaurant partners with Invictus Brewery and shares the common space. Wife ordered Blood Orange Hard Seltzer and I got an Apple Shine Cider, wow both were delicious and had great flavor. The food ordering was to be placed at the counter and delivered to your space. Wife ordered the Cranberry Wild Rice Chicken sandwich with Brie. I ordered the Combine Burger ground with jalapeños, cheese topped with grilled pastrami and caramelized onions with a side of onion rings. HOLY SMOKES, was this flippin incredible! Food was not the the typical monster portions you typically you get and that was nice to see! Food had so many great flavors and we will absolutely be back. We went on a Saturday during the PGA Tournament expecting a big crowd. It was very busy so we decided to order food and take it home to eat. As we were waiting a table opened up so we sat down and ended up enjoying some amazing food. I had the Hazy Sunrise Burger and hubby had the Sunny Po' boy. We split the Buffalo wings. Everything was delicious!! Since we found a seat, we decided to order a couple of beers. They weren't our favorites but maybe we'll do a flight sampler next time. You pick up your food at the counter after you also order at the counter...and if you don't leave anything at your table, your table may be taken when you turn around, especially if your table mate went to use the restroom while you picked up food. Had their sunnies and chips (fish and chips). Excellent tasting and quick service. At $14 for 3 small pieces of fish and a pile of fries, it's not a bargain. But, I think it's worth the price and i would order it again. The place is a huge warehouse space, with shared, long table seating. The microbrewery tanks are clearly visible at the side of the building. Interesting beers, with 4 miniature glass samplers available for $8. The place was busy, even at 2:00 PM Saturday afternoon.
