Food and environment was awesome! Server Lucas not so much. 20yr old serves us our drinks without carding. (Granted we're of age). Took our order, then after a short period we got our food. Missing an appetizer and then never seen Lucas again until we asked for our check since we were done and ready to leave. Will return being the menu has some great variety and I'd like to try other things. Hope maybe Lucas is off or learns that great tips are earned by great service. I've been excited to try Fork'd for a few months now, and I finally made it in! I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich. It's HUGE! I was shocked by the size. It was super tasty with a great balance of sweet and heat. Definitely a little sticky, but that's to be expected with hot honey. The vibe inside was really fun too. Fork'd occupies the former Champps Location at Ridgedale and serves a wide variety of hearty bar food - smash burgers, sandwiches, salad and appetizers. I really enjoyed the hot honey chicken sandwich with its crunchy crust and sticky goodness while my wife liked the thai chicken salad - although it was HUGE and she couldn't finish it. The place is pretty spacious with lots of room between tables. They offer a full bar and have some inventive cocktails and "mocktails" too. Our server was friendly and helpful. My only nit was that water glasses weren't refilled. We visited on a quiet sunday evening. I kept driving this new restaurant and finally decided to check it out for dinner. The menu is pretty limited to sandwiches and burgers, but I took that to mean they would be good at those items. I got the Fork'd smash burger, which was good! My husband liked the C.A.B chicken sandwich and my kid enjoyed the chicken tender kids meal. The waffle fries were a big hit with everyone! I'd like to come back for their happy hour sometime and try some cocktails. I believe the HH is 2-5, everyday, which is great! One negative is I think they are a tad over priced. Fork'd was so good! The menu was filled with burgers, sandwiches, salads, wings and pizza! Quite the selection to choose from. They also have a full bar with an array of mixed drinks and both tap & bottled beers. The service was amazing, super friendly and helpful with making meal selections. Our waitress was friendly, checked in on us multiple times, and made us feel very welcomed. Even management check in with us to make sure everything was up to par. The mozzarella sticks were some of the best I've ever had, and the queso tasty as well. The smash burger was legit, so good! As was the patty melt, delicious bread and fried onions. The fish sandwich was top notch, the Sam Adams beer batter was amazing! Huge portions, I couldn't finish all my waffle fries, which tasted even better with the seasoned sour cream. Order: Bloody Mary flight. My order of preference: Dill pickle, bacon, green machine, house. Nice to try different varieties. The dill had good flavor but was not garnished with a pickle like my friends but rather an olive which was weird. Bacon version was good but the tiniest bacon garnish. Green machine was different but a good way. The GOAT version was very unremarkable. Reuben sandwich. Had all the components to be good but not great. What a fun place. My wife and I have been there 3 times for lunch and looking forward to a fourth. We sit at the bar, as we always do, service was fantastic! Food had a different kick that you would expect that the kitchen has the flavor of the Baccio chef upstairs. If you are a Bloody Mary fan, try the Bloody flight. My personal and spicy favorite is the Green Machine! Try it! Green Bloodies are a home run! Every dish has an interesting twist. The normally boring tuna melt is taken to a next level of flavor. Finally, we have something very good in the old Champps location. Fork'd is a sister restaurant of Bacio and is right around the corner. Fork'd is much more casual where they offer great apps, sandwiches, and pizza. If you want more traditional Italian with the classics, head to Bacio. They have a great Happy Hour from 2-5 pm every day where they offer $2 off on wines by the glass and all Tap Beer. They also offer a selection of Specialty Cocktails. We have tried quite a few of the appetizers and pizza. Everything has been very good! We normally sit at the bar and the bartender's are fantastic! Our first time to this new restaurant in MNTKA. Got there on a Friday just before 5p and took advantage of happy hour offerings. The Mule was really a treat and if you like to sit at the bar (we do!) Julia is just the BEST! My wife had a skinny margarita and was what was expected. Julia suggested the Reuben roll app and it had a healthy portion of corn beef! Was very good. Followed up with popcorn shrimp which had a cornmeal crust and done just right. Exceeded most popcorn shrimp I have had. Did not need to move on but did to a very healthy patty melt! When we visited we had a good time, we were seated fasted and didn't feel rushed at all into ordering we started with the cherry limeades and they were quite tasty so we ordered a few more. I wasn't a fan of the artichoke dip because it was too greasy and overpowered by the cheese and it wasn't very flavorful in my opinion. I liked the mozzarella sticks, and the Cesar salad a lot. The salad was fresh and crisp. The fork'd cheese panzza was also really good, I loved the garlic and that it was perfectly made. Went out here with another couple for dinner. Bright, busy, and a little loud, was my initial response. The menu was a little limited, but every meal, every appetizer, -each and every one- was really, really good! First time at Fork'd. I really thought it was a lovely space. Great ambience. The servers were experienced and attentive. I had the Cobb salad and my friends had the Thai peanut salad. I thought the Cobb was good . I did think the chicken was a little tough but the eggs, blue cheese and Romain refresh and delicious . My friends enjoyed their Thai Peanut Salad . Taste is average, portions are very small, and the prices aren't much different than their sister restaurant (Bacio) in the same building, which is a higher end establishment. Service - order at the counter and food is brought to your table. The hostess barely picked up her head from her phone as we walked in. Service and interactions were lackluster at best. Although it was a relatively new establishment, there seem to be a little training in service standards or common customer interactions. Ambiance - good curb appeal, and nice interior furnishings. Although not significantly different from the previous establishment. Not impressed with any aspect of this establishment too many other options in the area with better food and better value. The poor acoustics made it possible to hear a cacophony of conversations but we were still able to understand each other. Been here twice and gotten the same thing both times. The greek chicken sandwich is fantastic , I crave it often now. Also saw the jerk wings come out of the kitchen and those look great as well. I just wanted a bacon cheeseburger. It cost me with tip $30. They don't have bbq sauce. Server said they have 2 sauces. I was never told extra sauce is $1.50. The extra charges were ridiculous. The ambiance is boring. Please continue the ceiling from the bar into the restaurant. It needs to be more refined. No not, Bacios but attractive. The smash burger with waffle fries was delicious, the lighter option of Thai peanut salad was tasty, light yet abundant, served with chicken skewers and edamame. Cornmeal Crusted Popcorn Shrimp w/NOLA remoulade & lemon, Crispy Chicken Tenders w/Hot Honey & Ranch, Waffle Fries w/seasoned sour cream... all quite a few notches above regular bar food. For us, the portions will be two meals. Bright and airy plus for just being open a short time the service was excellent. Took home the Fork'd "Turtle Cheesecake" (salted caramel, chocolate & salted candied pecans) Once we got home it didn't make it to the fridge. Same owners as Bacio so the quality and service are there, but certainly not a clone. Fork'd fills another niche all together. read more
