This pizzeria in Minnetonka is where you go for great tasting thin crust pizza and cold beer. The restaurant, which was originally a gas station site from 1934, is a cool spot with cozy, wonderful ambiance. Their specialty is interesting variety of elevated pizzas baked on a cracker thin crust. The restaurant has modern aesthetics with a small indoor dining room w/ a party room and a patio area. I liked the modern setup and the lighting inside and outside the building. My party and I came here for their pizzas as they were highly recommended. The restaurant was somewhat busy but we got a table right away. We sat indoors although patio area was considered. Our server was friendly and helpful. Their food menu had a nice variety of pizzas. Their drinks menu had a nice selection of beers (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). I knew what pizza I wanted to try as it was a recommendation from the party we came with. It was the 'Smokey'. We took a bit longer to order as we were trying to come up with a second pizza to complement 'Smokey'. We decided on the 'Diesel'. Our order included an Italian salad, an 18" Smokey, a 12" Diesel, a kids meal of spaghetti with marinara sauce, and a few beverages. The Smokey was roasted pulled pork, pickles, fresh jalapeños, red onions, cheese, and bbq sauce. The Diesel had pepperoni, fresh Jalapeno, spicy Arbol chile red sauce. The pepperoni was the charred cup kind. We also asked for honey on the Diesel. The food came out promptly starting with the salad, then the Smokey and followed by the Diesel. Everything was fresh and delicious. The salad hit the spot. The house Italian dressing on the salad was light and refreshing. Both the pizzas were flavorful and delicious. My favorite was the Smokey. It had everything I wanted in a great tasting pizza. Starting with the thin and crispy crust (which was perfect and held the toppings firmly), the Smokey's toppings came together for a strong flavor profile. I loved the pairing of pulled pork, pickles, jalapeños, red onions, and bbq sauce. I couldn't stop eating it. But I had to have the Diesel too. Diesel was perfect with its charred cup pepperoni, jalapeños, and spicy Arbol chile sauce. The honey added a bit of sweetness to complement the flavor but I prefer hot honey over regular. We had a great filling meal and enjoy our dinner at this pizzeria. Additionally, we had their house baked chocolate chip cookies and they were scrumptious. Soft, chewy goodness. I definitely recommend this pizzeria to anyone who enjoys good, delicious pizza with good service in a nice atmosphere setting. Check them out. read more

Great pizza! I've eaten in once and gotten take out twice! Everyone there has always been very friendly. We got the premium pizza last night for takeout but the meatball pizza is my favorite! The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is parking is a bit hectic. Also, if you don't get seated right away there isn't anywhere to wait and you feel like you are in everyone's way. I am a big fan of Station pizzeria. I come here frequently with my family. We like to sit outside in the summer, but come winter, the cozy inside is great as well. I am still not a fan of super-thin Midwest-style pizza, but the pizza here is very good - great quality ingredients and there seems to be a good char on the bottom of the crust, too. They also have beer and wine, but the main event for me is on their appetizer menu - the roasted brussels sprouts. It is a heaping pile of roasted sprouts with balsamic glaze and finely shredded cheese on top. It's so good, my kids even eat it. Parking is a bit tight on weekend dinners, but otherwise you will always find somewhere to put the car. read more

My son lives for pizza, so I'm always trying to find a new spot we haven't been to. This one popped up with good reviews, so we had to make a trip. It was well worth it! Place was busy, which is a great sign. Parking was easy btw We sat at the bar and were helped immediately. We could see the pizzas being made, so it was a great visual on what we could be expecting. I got my son and I some dry rub wings which are smoked and fried and they were great! Very crispy, juicy, and flavorful. We then received our pizza straight from the oven and it was amazing! You can definitely taste how fresh it was and how well they make them. Staff checked on us frequently to see how everything was, which I appreciated. We then ended with a quick dessert . This place was busy!! Generous parking lot but small inside. Lots of families with small children. We decided to order online and wait outside to pick up rather than squeezing our way inside and waiting for an undetermined amount of time. Our pizzas were ready within 15 mins. Picking them up was easy. I was motivated to try this place by the appetizer menu along with the signature pizzas but only ended up ordering a pizza. I enjoyed the bbq chicken pizza. Their "smoky chicken" topping is on point and tastes fresh. The combo of smoky chicken with red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño worked for me as I enjoy a little heat to my food. We had the trifecta which is loaded with delish meat and the diesel which has a nice spicy red sauce and fresh jalapeños. The crust is perfection-not too thick and not too thin. This was an accidental find as we were headed back from MPLS and we were looking for something easy. I loved the thin crust pizza which had generous amounts of Pepperoni and mushrooms. Station Pizza is such a cool little spot! It used to be a gas station (hence the name "station". They are known for their pizza, which is one of my favorites around. Specifically - the "Diesel" is amazing. It packs a little heat into a a perfectly crispy thing crust pizza. During my recent order, I was distracted by the guys wings next to me. He got the "Mixed Fuel" and they smelled great. By the look on his face - they are pretty warm too so they are on my list for next time. We decided to try this place out as we live near the area and were curious about their pizza and prices along with general atmosphere. We ended going on a Friday night so we expected the place to be busy, however, we were sat within a couple minutes despite there being a large crowd so that was already great! We had an extremely server and we ended up ordering the Diesel pizza which let me tell you has a nice kick. If you enjoy spicy food I definitely recommend this one! The pizza was extremely tasty and crispy which I very much enjoy. We ordered the 16" size and it was more than enough for two of use to split and have leftovers, next time we'd probably stick with the smaller 12", however we were very impressed For dessert we ordered their cannolis and they were a great end to our dinner. Lack of giving - AF. We ordered a supreme pizza - Thin crust. The ingredients i.e. the sausage and pepperoni were pretty much tossed on the pizza in a random order. A lot of the pepperoni wasn't even separated piled 3 to 4 pcs stuck on top of each other, the black olives were in piles not randomly placed had to rearrange the ingredients proportionately before I could attempt to eat. The pizza was extremely salty and that's all I could taste (5%-sauce) and we did not enjoy our pizza.
