I love this place! I had never been before but had to satisfy a pizza craving, so I stopped in to order a supreme pizza. All the staff were so kind and accommodating. You can really tell it's a locally owned place; it oozes camaraderie and care. If I were a sports person, I'd definitely stop by to watch a game here. Grabbed takeout here for a work event. Went right at open (11 am). Staff was friendly and helpful, even with a big order right out of the gate. We were offered beverages while we waited, which was very kind. I certainly appreciated an extra glass of water on a warm day. Small parking lot on the side of the building and appeared that street parking nearby was also available. Good prices as well, 6 pizzas, 6 garlic breads and a tip for about $150. I have been a loyal customer for over ten years(since I moved into NE Mpls), last weekend I called for a delivery. They lost my order and tried to deliver it to another address. No response. The next day, I called them back and was told they started a new software system and lost my details. I asked for a refund/reversal and was told that was fine. 48 hours later, still no refund.... After almost 40 minutes on the phone, they finally figured it out. I now requested that they send the original order but including extra cheese. We really enjoyed our time at Parkway Pizza! We ordered takeout after a weekend away, and the pizza was ready very fast for a Sunday night! The parking lot was strange, so we decided to park on a nearby street and walk up. It was quick to pick up our pizzas and be on our way! The food itself was great! We were really excited to try the Pesto Garlic Bread and were not disappointed. I wasn't sure if we would need the marinara sauce, but was glad to have it after a few bites to moisten the bread up a bit. I ordered the Minnehaha Greek without olives and enjoyed it! There was quite a bit of garlic on it, and it was a tad dry making me jealous of my partner's plain cheese order, but it was still a good pizza. Next time I might be going plain cheese though! We have found our new favorite pizza place. One night a few weeks ago our former go-to spot had an hour wait, so we decided to try Parkway as we remembered our neighbors liked the place. Although busy and short-staffed, they sat us (wife, 2 toddlers, and me) right away. Waiting with hangry kids is not fun so this was a great start. We were warmly greeted by our server and he answered our dumb questions with a smile. We later found out they were short-staffed but you would never have guessed it the way our server treated us. The vibe was excellent in there. Relaxed, family vibes, with people sitting mostly in very large booths that I think could fit 6 adults. We felt very comfortable and not rushed or anything. We got a large pepperoni pizza, in typical Midwest style - thin crust, cut into a grid of square slices. It came out pretty quickly and we devoured it almost as fast. We got a beer and a wine and they were both under $10 each, which is nice when pizza places have cheap drinks. To finish the meal, they have Sebastian Joe's ice cream. We love parkway! Such a good go to spot right by our house that we can pop in and out of for a dine in or a take our meal. We haven't found anything bad on their menu let alone the staff is fantastic. Their sausage is made in house and suitable for all dishes on the menu. Wow! The Spicy Garlic Chicken Pizza was amazing. I went on a Double Date with a friend and we ordered too 16'" Pizzas, a Pitcher of Beer, and the Artichoke Appetizer- Great deal and portion of food for 4 people. We have fallen in love with Parkway Pizza. We have made it our go-to dinner for something when we don't want to cook. We have enjoyed boy takeout and dining in. The dining in experience is always fantastic! The staff is amazing and the food always hits the spot! We have ordered takeout several times too and it is not far off from dining in at all. The pizza is so good and tasty. The sausage they have is fantastic! As a sausage fan I know it can make or break a pizza and not all sausage pizzas are the same. Parkways, is the best! We have been ordering cheese toast and garlic toast as well and recently tried the pesto toast and it is perfection! The pesto is subtle enough but it adds loads and extra flavor. We stopped by the old "Beek's" (80's throwback) pizza, obviously now Parkway Pizza. Server was friendly and the unventilated, unisex restroom hasn't changed much. Only have had Parkway Pizza at the NE location prior to today. Pizza and app arrived at the same time (no biggie), but we were surprised by the difference in taste of the pizza in comparison to the NE location. Not necessarily bad or good; just different. Staff at the bar area were loud and distracting (although we were the only seated customers outside of that area). My favorite neighborhood pizza place! We order delivery and stop in regularly, both are great experiences. Delivery is fast and our food always arrives hot. The menu isn't huge but it is dependable and has everything from pizza to pasta and hoagies. They even have Sebastian Joe's ice cream, a well stocked beer and wine menu and THC beverages! Eating in the restaurant is fun, they have a family friendly upbeat atmosphere. The staff is friendly, helpful and quick. Food comes out quickly, too. I am in love with this pizza. We ordered a 16in sausage and a 16in custom pizza with artichoke hearts, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. Wow. I cannot express this enough: their sausage is amazing. It's made in house so you KNOW it's good-and it is. I will 100% order from here again, they even have an easy online ordering system and will deliver for orders above $10. Artichoke dip is the best in the city. The sausage doesn't have much flavor. The last couple times we ordered pizza the bottom of the crust was pale and the top of the crust was still raw dough. To me, this is classic Minneapolis pizza. The crust is thin, but it's not thin crust. It's crunchy on the edge pieces and more chewy in the middle. The sauce has a deep tomato flavor and there's enough of it so you can taste it, but not so much that it's soupy. The cheese is copious and stringy when eaten hot. The sausage is homemade and absolutely perfect. It's square cut, which is the correct way to cut this kind of pizza. Their classic pizzas are rock solid and their specialty pizza usually hit too. We love Parkway! During COVID, they have no contact takeout and delivery. For delivery, mark no contact in special instructions. For takeout, you can call when you arrive to pick up your order and they will bring it out to you. The pizza is great and they have salads and pasta with vegan options if you like. I read reviews that said this is the best pizza in the west metro, and I was not disappointed. I ordered for take out, and from the short time I was in the restaurant, it was pleasant. The pizza crust was crispy and tasted fresh. The toppings were plentiful. And the overall pizza was amazing. The only downside is that the parking lot is sooooo small and there's no take out reserved spot so I ended up walking a little bit from the next street over. But it was a nice day, so I didn't mind. If it was cold or rainy I might take that into consideration. read more
