We've visited the Twin Cities 4 more times since my first review (most recently, August 2026), eating Tommie's Pizza at least twice during each visit. It''s been a consistent 5 stars! Not a high 4 rounded to 5, but a solid 5! We won't visit without a trip to Tommie's Pizza. read more

Decent pizza. Small shop that advertises pizza by the slice but doesn't always have pizza by the slice. Their sauce is too thick and overall flavor is lacking. Service was fine but it wasn't busy when I was there. read more

Small one of a kind pizza place. The prices are good and they have indoor and outdoor seating. They made the pizza for us upon order, so it takes a little bit but it's worth it. read more

Tommie’s Pizza - My bf ordered a hamburger slice and bbq chicken slice! - Pizza Near Me - Saint Paul, Minnesota

Excellent, New York style pizza in St. Paul at a reasonable price. What more could you want? Service can be slow when they're busy, but it's because Tommy will never rush to push your order out the door: he'll wait until it's cooked just right. There are plenty of topping options, and the house specialties are all excellent. The eat-in space is small and dive-bar-esque, but serviceable. We typically take ours to-go. read more

Where's the cheese?! Very disappointing for the price. I ordered two XL pizzas ($50), one cheese and one with a couple toppings. I should have ordered extra cheese because there was hardly any. We pretty much got two pizza crusts with a bit of sauce and less cheese. Seriously. The location sucks for parking making pickup challenging. read more

Came here with my girlfriend yesterday before a concert to grab a quick bite. Staff was friendly + attentive. The prices are great, you can't beat them! The slices are huge (per the photo) and crispy. Pizza gets a 9.1/10 it's definitely the best pizza spot in the area. I'll definitely be coming back here to try more of their specialty pizzas! I was very impressed with the BBQ chicken pizza and cheeseburger pizza. Will definitely be adding more updates to this review because I will certainly be back! read more

Tommie’s Pizza - The prettiest girl in the world + BBQ Chicken Pizza and Cheeseburger Pizza. - Pizza Near Me - Saint Paul, Minnesota

A great place to shop local! Tiny interior, large flavor and even better service. Popped in on a Sunday evening to grab two slices of cheese pizza and was greeted right away. A note for those hoping to get a slice quickly - compare the process to waiting on a normal pizza because it's all made in house and warmed to perfection. I wasn't in a rush so this didn't bother me and I also saw some other reviews pointed this out too. I'll totally be returning and hope to dine in as the high top bar by the windows gives an excellent view of Selby and truly glows over the holiday months with all the twinkle lights. Thank you! read more

What a great place to grab a pizza to go! The pizzas here are priced very reasonably for how good they are and how fresh the ingredients seemed to be. The margherita was our favorite but the veggie pizza and cheese with sausage were great as well. They weren't greasy at all and the crust was the right balance between bready and crunchy. We ordered three pizzas to go online and were excited to show up and find them ready to go right on time. Ordering online was an easy process and they have loads of options of pizzas as well as wings, salads, desserts, and more available as add ons. They had a good variety of non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase as well. Customer service was very welcoming and friendly and the place seemed to be carry-out driven but had some cute seating in-doors that provided a street view. We enjoyed our pizzas greatly and will order again! read more

AMAZING PIZZA! Fast, fresh, hot & delicious! Highly recommend this gem buttery, New York style crust baked perfectly. My daughter & I popped in for a few slices after bball -adorable place & perfect lunch! Service was also top notch- thank you! read more

I heard good things about this place so I decided to give it a try. I placed my order and headed over. When I arrived it was a bit busy so I had to wait in line to pick up. As I was standing there I noticed a pizza sitting out looking like it was waiting to be boxed up. After about 5-10 mins I got to to the counter and gave my name. I see a gentleman then brush the pizza that was sitting out with a garlic butter then box it up. The woman handed it to me. Ok, I was excited about the garlic butter but disappointed that the pizza had been sitting out in the open for awhile. I got home and grabbed a slice from the box. It wasn't bad but not as good as I had hoped. The flavor was decent, but it was cold. I think it may have been much better fresh from the oven. The staff was very friendly and I'd be willing to give it another try at some point. read more

Pizza was great - crust had the perfect bite, sauce was tangy, toppings well seasoned/distributed. Wings had an awesome char. And, this was after I picked up my order and sat in traffic 30 minutes on my way home. Even got to meet Tommie. Will be back for sure! read more

I'm pretty sure the food was good when it was first delivered. Unfortunately, the delivery person messed it up. On a nice brisk, winter night (about 5 degrees!) they dropped the pizza at the front door and didn't bother knock, ring the bell, text or log the delivery in their app. I was monitoring the delivery progress and the delivery time kept getting pushed out until finally I watched it push out, refresh, and tell me it had been delivered 15 minutes earlier. This totally isn't Tommie's fault - tried looking for a way to ding the delivery service. So...when looking at the stars I gave, please remember this includes the chow sitting outside in 5 degree winter weather for 15 minutes. read more

I came here because we had really limited time and just needed to grab a slice and run. Tommies serves pizza by the slice, in addition to full size pizzas and wings. I didn't have the wings but I smelled them while I was waiting and the wings smelled incredible. I'm not a wing person and I was tempted. The pizza was fine- but I didn't really get to eat it because it took too long. They don't have pizza slices at the ready, they appear to make your slice custom. You can add a few toppings but don't expect it to be a quick grab and go slice. This is a perfect place for the solo diner who dreams of ordering the perfect slice with all your fave toppings. However, it is not the spot for the hangry chick who is perpetually late, freaking out and ends up only getting 3 bites before she flies to the next thing. I'll probably try Tommies again, but not when I'm starving and in a hurry- although that's like a lightening striking. read more

Shared a large pepperoni and sausage pizza and some chicken wings. Very good, loved the outer crust of garlic & butter. Wings were tasty and the food came out Hot. The staff were very friendly and courteous. They have a few tables for eating-in after ordering at the counter. They have a variety of pop, if they had beer I would of gave them 5 read more

Sunday afternoon, we didn't feel like cooking and heating up the kitchen and decided we would get pizza and what better place then a local hometown business. We had ordered pizza fromTommies before but it seemed like there is maybe only one or two people working there and we wanted our pizza right away. We ordered through Uber eats unfortunately what we wanted was the yummy St Paul pizza but we wanted to add something to it and we weren't able to through the app so we just ordered the pizza as is. We then called the shop and a very sweet helpful gentleman (whom I'm assuming is the owner). I told him that we ordered a pizza through Uber eats but wanted to have a few customizations that that app didn't allow, he listened understood what we wanted and was very gracious to to honor our request. The pizza arrived just as we asked and it was amazingly perfect! We will definitely order and stop in and pick up a pizza more often as the price was perfect and the quality was even better.***as soon as we open the box it smelled and looks so good we devoured it before we could take a picture of it but I assure you It was one of the best pizzas we had in a while!!! One more very important thing, a lot of people that want pizza don't like certain things on it I'm referring to pork I don't mind pork but there are a few people in my household that do so the fact that this establishment has beef pepperoni is definitely something we noticed and appreciated! read more

Tommie’s Pizza - The delicious The Saint Paul - Pizza Near Me - Saint Paul, Minnesota

Good pizza for a good price. I ordered the very veggie and it was delicious; as close to a salad as you can get for a pizza. I myself would have prolly added some more things if the option was available (prolly was under a build your own pie selection, but not as part of the pre-sets), I like some heat and could also see some meat additions working really well. Dough options might be good, too - both types of dough as well as styles (extra baked or thick/thin etc) Overall, though, good local pizza for taste and price-paid. read more

On my adventure to try out the best of the best NY-Style twin cities pizza spots, Tommie's has been on my list for quite awhile. In the last year, I must have driven by this place almost everyday on my way home from work (pre-COVID anyway) and said, "hey, new pizza joint, gotta try!" It's after all practically in my back yard. Well, now the word is out and after seeing so many recommendations I realized I couldn't put it off any longer--scratch that; one bite and I realize I've been depriving myself for the last year! Their popularity has increased and therefore so have take out wait times, so keep that in mind and budget a little extra time--but damn that wait is worth it. Flavorful cheese and toppings, sweet tomatoey sauce, and crispy-soft, foldable crust needs to be in your future We went with a classic pepperoni/sausage for our first rodeo and it was nothing short of comforting perfection. Pies can be ordered in up to 18" and I've heard their grilled wings are quite the contender as well. Check 'em! read more

What a big disappointment! I rely on Yelp reviews to guide me to good restaurants and I am very disappointed that the reviews guided me to Tommie's. Ordered on-line for a pick up time of 5:40 (before slam time). I arrived and had to circle for a parking spot in the congested area. Ended up parking with my the back end of me vehicle slightly into an alley. Went in to pick up the order and it wasn't ready.....5 minutes they said. I consoled myself that as long as I didn't get a ticket for my marginal parking, that the benefit would be good hot pizza and wings, which I had read really good things about. After 5 or so minutes I had me food and returned to my vehicle, which hadn't been ticketed. So far, sort of so good. My house is close to Tommies, only a 4 to 5 minute drive. I returned home and sat down with my wife to enjoy food from our new found pizza joint. To my disappointment, the pizza was cold. I had to wait 5+ minutes beyond the pickup time for my order and yet the pizza was cold? Besides, the flavor was about the same as Dominoes and they had omitted the extra item I had paid for (Canadian Bacon). Secondly, their raved about wings, while good, are certainly not great. I can name at least a half dozen places in the Twin Cities that have much better wings. I have several conclusions from my experience tonight. - Maybe I caught them on an off night - Maybe the reviews are suspect and are from a bunch of friends and family - Maybe other reviewers actually like their food and don't mind mediocre service - No matter the situation, I have many good restaurants near me and I will not be returning read more

Finding that balance between the perfect crust and toppings may be a life-time effort, but now that I've found Tommie's Pizza on Selby I can go to the next life knowing I won't likely find it any better. Here's the thing, too: Pizza of this quality that is made by a real family (not a corporation) is gem that many in the neighborhood may not know. If you live nearby, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Even if you don't live near, you'll appreciate the crispy crust that can be reheated in a pan for extra pleasure the next morning! Yum! read more

never been there before, I ordered a take out large pizza, black olive's, hamburger, green pepper and onion. took the average 20 mins. sauce was very very tangy, I counted the pieces of burger, there were at the most 2 small pieces of burger per very piece of pizza, same with the other ingredients. read more

I LOVE TOMMIESS PIZZA. very nice people i think they're a couple idk, but they're abordable. also the bbq chicken pizza is rly good

I can't comment on the quality of their food, so maybe if you went in to the storefront you'd have a different experience. But therein lies the problem. I tried to order from delivery from their website, but it only let me add three toppings to a pizza. Since we wanted more than that, I called the store to place a delivery order with them directly. I explained what was going on to the kind woman who answered (after about four attempts to get a call through). She told me to order through door dash and that it was a known issue with their web platform. I should add the additional toppings in as comments. We decided to order a couple of their speciality pizzas instead to avoid confusion and wrong charges. I placed the order about an hour before they closed, with an expected delivery time about 55 minutes later (5 minutes before they closed). The door dash driver picked up my food about 7:45, then within 5 minutes I got a call that the driver had their "engine overheat" and that our order was cancelled. It was too late for us to place a new order, and it was then 8:00 on a Sunday night so there weren't many available options where we live. The text I got from door dash also said that the restaurant cancelled the order, not door dash. This all seems very sketchy to me, especially since I tried to order from them as their own company and was redirected to door dash instead. So I have no idea if their food is good or not, but their service is certainly lacking on all fronts. read more

Stopped in for a slice on the way to do some work things. Their curbside pickup setup is fast, clean, and I appreciate the clear care for people's health and safety in doing so. Pizza is literally my favorite food. That said, I'm a snob. I appreciated that I could get a slice of pizza with any topping for under $4. I also appreciated that lil' sprinkling of parmesan on top at the end (though my digestive system disagrees). The crust had good flavor, perhaps some garlic powder? Who knows. HOWEVER, I wish that there was more sauce - I lean on having a heavier dose of sauce on my slices otherwise it ends up tasting like cheese bread. That said, I'll definitely be back to support this black owned business. Power to the people. read more

Great pizza, friendly owner! I love this local pizza spot! Highly recommend, you can also get great wings!

I have driven past Tommie's pizza for a year now and after today I am mad at myself for not stopping sooner. We had a craving for pizza and wings. We called to order as we were driving there. It only took 15 minutes to make and pick up. The people on the phone were friendly and helpful. We got a large pepperoni pizza- when I think NY pizza this is it! The sauce, the flavor, the crust (had grill marks), Everything was delicious! Ok now I have to talk about why I gave this place 5 stars and I have two words- SELBY SAUCE! The wings are fire!(Really good) We got six buffalo and six with their signature "Selby sauce" we should have got 20! I don't care if you like wings or not- this sauce will make you a believer! A must try! And make sure you have some napkins close by OR just lick your fingers! You won't want to waste that sauce anyways! read more

Delicious New York-style pizza, but the wings were the real show stopper- honestly some of the best I've ever had. The Buffalo sauce was on point, spicy enough but not mouth-on-fire spicy, and the wings had amazing char from the grill. We recently tried Tommie's for the first time and really enjoyed it! We got two of the Tommie's pizzas, which have mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, and onions. The medium was really big! We got two mediums for four of us and barely touched the second pizza, they looked like larges from other places. The highlight was definitely the crust, which tastes like it is brushed with garlic butter. The texture and flavor were both really great. The overall effect was just a little dull/bland - I think the onions lacked much bite so with some chili pepper flakes or more inventive toppings, it might have been a little more impressive or popped more! Overall, really tasty and will likely try again. read more
