    a pizza on a table
    Kati M.

This is one of our favorite spots! We tend to sit outside which is a must in Minnesota. The service is efficient and we usually have our pizza quickly! We love to split the Biga - I love toppings but my daughter doesn't so it's a great way for me to get extra toppings. We love to get there by walking or biking and grab ice cream next door at Pumphouse after--or sometimes before!

Our youngest wanted pizza and ice cream so Pizza Biga was a perfect location in our neighborhood because right next door is Pumphouse Creamery. We got there about 45 minutes before closing and didn't think we could still dine in but to our surprise the server was still serving. The dining inside was empty and it was super hot yesterday so we stuck with A/C for indoor dining and got to pick wherever we wanted to sit. It was great because we got a table for six by the window. Our food came right out and didn't have to wait very long. When we were almost done, there was a line at Pumphouse Creamery so the server said that we didn't have to be in a rush and can take our time to finish up. The pizza crust is like eating an Indian naan bread, crispy on the edges act soft in the middle. Just how I like to enjoy my pizza. The pizza size is like a personal size pizza but could be shareable. But I think I could have finished the whole pizza if I didn't need to save room for ice cream. The pizza dough is so light and fluffy that I didn't feel bloated at the end where I felt like I ate too much. This is probably my third time here. Great pizzas for a reasonable price and it's local. Definitively will be back again. They two beers on tap otherwise there's a wine list.

If you like raw doughy pizza, this place is for you. I blame the residents of MN for why pizza is so bad in here. You guys accept this.

Im ready to give up on finding decent pizza in MN. I had high hopes for this place. Alas, they are as bad as everyone else in this state.

Absolutely loved this little pizza shop! We were going to see a show at the parkway and grabbed some dinner before! The place is tiny so highly recommend going during the week or on a slower day to ensure you could get a table! The staff was so kind and the food came out so quickly! The pizza dough is incredible (probably due to the fact it's attached to Turtle Bread Company). The pizza is wood fired and had so much flavor! Simple yet delicious. This seems like the perfect place for a date night! Parking is only available on the street but we had no problem finding some close by! Can't wait to go back!

In south Minneapolis, in the quaint neighborhood of Chicago Ave is this fabulous pizza shop! Pizza Biga had an amazing selection of pizzas- we settled on the Bianca and Dan's Balsamic pizza with artichoke dip as an appetizer. It started out wonderfully and just continued through every dish. LOVE this place!!!

Yum! First pizza here, and definitely won't be the last. We picked up 3 wood fired pizzas here plus a tasty mixed greens salad. All 3 of us were perfectly happy with our meal including the veggie (red sauce, mushroom, red onion, pickled peppers, mozzarella), pepperoni (red sauce, pepp, mozz), and Biga pizza (red sauce, mushrooms, capicola, red onion, pickled peppers, mozz). The crust was nicely fired, toppings plentiful, cheese melty, and portion size was definitely bigger than personal size. We would have had plenty with just 2 pies, but the leftovers were happily devoured for another yummy meal.

After a failed attempt to get something from Turtle Bread (they don't really offer much after lunch hours end), I decided to try out the pizza here. While the restaurant itself is pleasant enough, I was rather disappointed by the pizza. The staff on the Pizza Biga side were attentive and quick to prepare my order, so that was wonderful! If I end up eating here again in the future, I'll have to try something else. I got a Margherita pizza and found the texture of the crust to be chewy with an adequate amount of firmness to it. The sauce was more on the bland side and that was a bit unfortunate. Even some crushed red pepper flakes didn't help the flavor much. The ingredients seemed fresh though, so that was a plus. I'm curious as to whether having a different pizza with more ingredients would change my mind. Unfortunately, there are so many fantastic pizza places in the Twin Cities. This one just didn't stand out to me.

Just got our second Amazon delivery from Pizza Biga. So very happy to have found great pizza. Finally. We got three pizzas and a salad. I must say the salad is really good too. The Margarita, delicious sauce, chewy flavorful sauce, fresh basil. Yum. The mushroom pizza was awesome too. The Sausage pizza must have been good. It disappeared. My new go-to place.

Half of a small caeser salad and tasty pizza.
    Michele B.

Good stone oven pizza. Shared a small Caeser salad. I liked overall. Yummy dressing clinging to the romaine and nice homemade croutons. Got a half pepperoni/ half sausage pizza since my companion wasn't as daring on toppings. I loved the crust! Preferred the sausage. Wanted more cheese. Overall tasty experience.

Our "sausage" pizza.... Seriously an inadequate amount of sausage for $13.

The pizza is the best in Minneapolis. Crust - unbelievable. We always get the pepperoni and olives and they are generous with both

Most is a self-service situation where you're choosing your table to sit at, grabbing your own water, and bussing your own table if you have the time. Casual spot with some interesting pizza. Boludo seems to be Argentinian-owned and family-run. I ordered the Porteño and asked for extra parmesan because of an Instagram reel I've seen with parmesan covering the crust. Due to a small misunderstanding, they ended up giving me something even better.... A fully parmesan-covered pizza. It was probably the best thing I've eaten that entire trip. Truly a great blend of salt, acid, fat, and heat. The second day I tried the Campo and tried to ask for the same cheese covering but ended up with the style I saw in the reel with the crust covered in cheese. It was still good, but not as good as my first order. They have a pretty solid Caesar salad as well! I would genuinely fly back to try this place again.

The empanadas were the best I've had outside Argentina but they were not hot temperature wise. The pizza looked amazing but I found the sauce too sweet for me. My friends pizza was better because he had so many toppings to mask the sweetness. Missed opportunity on the wine sale!

When my friend and I walked in, we came into a fairly spacious dimly lit space with loads of people inside. We were immediately informed that there would be over 1.5hr wait for a walk-in table. We were given the option to wait for bar seating as it would probably be quicker - and surely, it was. We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.

The menu can be a bit hard to navigate since so many menu options are unique but the server expertly guided us through. We ordered the Maitake Karaage, Duck Tataki, Mentaiko Lumache, chicken thigh yakitori, and a wagyu yakitori. Likes Vs Dislikes: LIKE the Maitake Karaage - this was the best dish of the evening. Fried mushrooms with scallion mayo, gave the texture and flavor of fried calamari but it's actually mushroom. LIKE the Mentaiko Lumache - this pasta was incredible. Perfectly al dente noodles with a unique almost cup shape that gave a nice bite of noodle and sauce together. The sauce was delicious! Dislike the yakitori - felt like there was little to no value here. You pay $7 per skewer which contains barely 3 bites of chicken. It was pretty average tasting too. Wouldn't waste the money. Like and dislike the Duck Tataki - delicious in flavor, nice and fatty, ponzu and mango added a great flavor. Disliked that for $22 you get hardly 4-5 bites of duck. Tiny tiny skinny bites mind you. Felt like the value wasn't there for this fish given how good it actually tasted. I'd look elsewhere on the menu. Overall, given what we liked, the ambience and staff, I am giving this a 5/5. If money isn't a factor then come here and go crazy, but if value matters then stray away from the yakitori and Duck Tataki, just my 2 cents.
