I ordered the medium sausage pizza. The sausage is chunked and very flavorful. Also ordered the chicken teriyaki wings. They were okay. They were special so I wanted to try. I did a pickup order they were nice when I arrived. read more

My wife and I were out for our weekly new restaurant Yelp lunch. We saw that if you get Pizzeria Lucca and bring it over to the brewery across the street, you get a buck off a pint. Kind of cool. The guy taking our order seemed like he was in a bad mood, but is was a Saturday morning, but okay. He was a large man with tattoos, I don't think you would argue. I ordered the big slice pizza with pepperoni and jalapeno and an Italian sausage. It came out fresh and hot to bring over to the brewery (They did give me the discount on the beer) The pizza was a nice huge slice and wonderful, perfect spiciness and the pepperoni was cuppy, but not crazy so. The Italian Beef was full of meat and great and I could only finish half of it. The dip that came with it was a perfect complement. read more

Been meaning to try this place. See it every time we head to Ariana Kabob House. Finally stopped here for lunch on a Friday. Clean place with a little seating inside. We got a couple of hoagies. The Joey meatball and the Italian beef. The person behind the counter we helpful and attentive. The food came out pretty quickly. The meaty cheese and the hot hoagies were good. I would have liked the marinara to be a little more flavorful. The Italian beef was good. Could have used a little more peppers. Overall a decent lunch. The place is clean, the staff helpful and the food is decent and reasonably priced. read more

Decided to give this place a try for lunch..not a lot of choices on the menu...ordered two slices of primo pizza. The slices were huge and tasted amazing! Definitely recommend! read more

What a nice surprise! I am in this area about once a month and there aren't many places to get a quick bite to eat on the run. I was craving garlic bread one of these days so I popped in to see what they had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised to see they always offer a "Big Slice" for $5. I got a pepperoni and an order of cheesy garlic bread and it was delicious!!! Most pizza places these days do garlic/cheese bread on those frozen slices of crappy bread that you can get at the store - not here! This was a split baguette type with great flavor, lots of cheese and great marinara. The big slice of pizza was super cheesy, had great browned pepperoni and the crust was crisp and delicious! I will definitely be stopping in any time I'm in the area!!! read more

I thought the pizza was great. I got the hot honey pepperoni for delivery. It seemed they do not do their own delivery and from their website it takes me to a 3rd party for delivery... which increased the price substantially including a delivery fee, plus the charge from the 3rd party, plus tip... so I don't think I'll keep ordering delivery here because of the cost. I just wanted to try it because I'm new to the area. The sauce was really good, excellent crust, and I loved the hot honey on top. I would like the cheese to be a little more well done but it still was great either way. They were really quick turning out the pizza to me so I appreciate that. Thanks! read more

We were looking for a new pizza place to try, my wife had found this online and through Twin City Pie Chasers facebook page. Wow! The pizza was amazing. Nice little pizza shop with a few tables. We ordered and sat down to wait. There was only only one person working but he was putting out the orders. I've been in search of a good sauerkraut and sausage pizza. There are are a lot out there but with mediocre flavor. Well today I found the best one I've had since Broadway Pizza Palace Inn. Amazing sauerkraut flavor, with delicious sausage. Pizza crust held all those ingredients perfectly with a nice crunch! We will be back. read more

I heard this business opened up during the Pandemic and it appears to be doing well. One night we ordered two mushroom personal pies with white sauce for pick -up. The thin crust, evenly distributed white sauce was scrumptious. To keep these babies warm I put them in a skillet in the oven to warm them up in order to keep the original quality. The cheese definitely oozed and melted a bit but it did not lose its flavor! The personal pie size worked out for each of us. After I made a greek salad at home to go along with the pizza, which was the perfect compliment there was total satisfaction. I see more home orders from Lucca in the future! read more

I really enjoyed the toppings of this place and the speed at which we got our slices. The crust though left something to be desired. It was very bland and dry. The toppings could have been on piece of Styrofoam and there wouldn't have been much difference. If I lived in the area I would give them another shot with a whole pie as I've heard good things. read more

The "w00t!": This place came up on a search when I was looking for a more NY-style slice for lunch, based on a pretty narrow location search. St. Louis Park for some reason has a fair few really decent pizza joints, but this one was unknown to me. Anyway, they do in fact have slices, and they are in fact big. Logistically, what happens is when you order they go to the back and they add whatever toppings to a par-baked quarter of a pizza, and run it through the oven for 4 minutes. This means you get a fresh, hot, made-to-order 25% of a 16" pizza... for 5 dollarbucks. Come on, that's amazing. This would be great already, but the crust is crunchy, the sauce has flavor, and they don't get stingy on the toppings. It's brilliant. The "meh.": It's in a strip mall at Cedar Lake and Excelsior. If you read that and think, "cool, I know where that is, that's not too far," then great. If you read that and think, "ugh, suburban strip mall," then I completely understand, and no judgement, you're not wrong. But you're also going to miss out. The "wtf?": Nothing stands out as a missed opportunity or anything they're failing at. Maybe with colder weather it would be good to have more seating inside? Maybe it would be cool to somehow make a reservation ahead of time for a pizza to-go at the end of the workday when people are getting out of St Louis Park? I don't know. I hope this place succeeds because it's great, and I worry a little just because it's a little bit hidden, or easy to miss. read more

Must say, pressure was on to find a quality pie shop for a customer lunch at the Holidays! Well done sir, well done (self praise)! I know I have driven past this place a lot but have never tried it...saw it on Yelp and thought "why not"! I always overthink bringing in food for a customer or friends and definitely don't go the Pizza Hut, chain path...This is the reason you don't. Called the night before to make sure I could pick up early and have things there by 11:30 in the AM...hate starting the day off not knowing. Had a wonderful call, picked a combo party deal and got an even better deal. Super friendly gal (sorry for the use of Gal) on the phone that was a peach to deal with. Felt 100% confident that all would be good in the morning. Even gave her a little bit of a hard time with not having a Christmas topping on their cookies...she said she'd pick something up...I was kidding...she wasn't. Picked the Pies up right on time and they were ready, hot, smelled awesome. Price was very fair, Pies were a good size and the breadsticks and cookies were included. Same person working and she had gotten a Holiday topping for the cookie, Dang! Final was that the Pies were a hit! Very impressed customers, friends and alike. Always good to spread some cheer with good food! I will definitely order from here again, as will about 6 other people that were equally as impressed as I was. Damn, I love good Pizza! Merry Christmas! KT read more

Best Italian in SLP hands down, food is outstanding! Owner is a super nice guy. Amazing customer service

Pizzeria Lucca is a take-out pizza spot attached to a freestanding Walgreens. It has a bunch of vegan options, including Daiya cheese, and unknown brands of vegan chicken, pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. I got a 12" "vegan meatza" pizza ($18.50) but made with the regular crust instead of the cauliflower crust (this is one of those things I couldn't figure out how to do on their confusing online ordering site, so I had to phone my order). The pizza would have been great, were it not for the excessive quantity of Daiya cheese, which is by far the worst vegan cheese on the market. It's a rubbery, fake, unattractive piece of food technology. In this day and age, if you're not using Follow Your Heart, Violife/Plantings or something homemade, it's a shame. The 12" veggie pizza, made with vegan cheese (another modification I couldn't figure out how to do online) ($17) suffered from the same issue of the crappy Daiya cheese. All that said, the crusts here are good and the sauce is zesty and rich. Pizzeria Lucca also has a vegan meatball sub, but lacks a vegan chicken parm, and has no vegan desserts. I am glad Pizzeria Lucca is around, but if you want better vegan pizza in the suburbs, check out the similarly named, but far more famous, Pizza Luce. read more

Nummm... Ordered tonight for delivery. Very prompt and friendly service to a Minnetonka condo building. Totally loved the Tasty Taco and BBQ Chicken Pizzas. OUTSTANDING!! Incredible sauce, one of the best pizzas in the Twin Cities! (Even though it's owned by a former Packer)

Placed an order online for pickup last night that gave an estimated time when it would be done. Very small location and have no seating so this is takeout only location. Parked right in front of the store and aw three people working with 5 people inside waiting on their order. My bf went in at the time the online order estimated and she asked if he received a text ( that was not noted online) and we ended up having to wait an additional 35 minutes before our pizza was ready. After reading other reviews we decided it would be best to get at 16 inch pizza. Loved the crust had perfect amount of crunch. Good ratio of sauce to toppings. Solid pizza 4/5. I agree with other reviewers that it was over priced as this is more similar to punch pizza taste vs Young Joni. Will stop in again to support local docked review for wait time, price, and also observed they did not enforce mask mandate with customers who entered. read more

We ordered for delivery and pizzas came in about 20 minutes and still piping hot. We ordered a 12" Hot Honey Chicken (not spicy, garlic and honey added good flavor) and St Louie (tasty sausage and crispy veggies). Sufficient toppings and good sauce. Crust was also crispy and not too thick. We could have gotten by with just one pizza for two people. Ordering two 12" was more than enough and we had a whole pizza leftover. A little pricey but worth it for a nice treat. read more

This is my third time to pick up pizza. The pizza is fantastic. Yesterday we added chicken tenders to our order just to try them out. They were the best. Fresh chicken breast strips, hand breaded and they were baked, not fried. They were so tender and delicious. I see a lot of salads for summer dinners - topped with chicken tenders. One young guy that was eating when I walked in raved about the Chicken Parm sandwich. I've seen reviews about the sandwiches being good and will try one with my next order. read more

They seem to still be figuring out the process, they are new but they can't seem to get the whole order / pickup thing down. Ordered online and went to pickup when the order said it would be ready, called from front of store for curbside, told they havent started it, so it will be 10 more mins. Another 20 mins (now over an hour from ordering) still no pizza brought curbside. Finally go inside and three employees in back literally just standing around, the front counter person was chatting it up with a customer. Finally someone comes from back to ask me what I need, told her waiting for my order, she grabs it of the shelf behind her. I asked how long they have been sitting there, since I've been wait over 30mins for it, she said of the front counter just got busy chatting with that customer. The food itself was adequate, well mediocre at best. Crust was obviously not fresh, nothing special about the sauce. I order one topping, sausage and could barely tell it was there. Really not worth the price. I hope they figure it out soon, but right now they are not worth it. read more

Go grab a slice to order and a Lucca Grinder! Take five minutes and introduce yourself to the owner!

Hot honey chicken pizza! So full of flavor and no shortage of toppings. Hot honey drizzle is such a nice touch.

Ordered pizza via Doordash which was. Dumped in the entry of my building with no notification. The pizza was cold, no fault of the restaurant. We heated it up and it was very good. I am sure it would have been fabulous right out of the oven. I would definitely order again but not with Doordash. A pox on Victoria from Doordash!!!! Shame on you!!!!! read more

Ordered a medium pizza, not good. It was just pile of cheese. Was the crust good, no idea. The sauce, maybe. The toppings, possibly. Impossible to tell as everything was completely drowned in an ocean of cheese. If you like extra cheesy pizza, maybe you'll like this... Personally, I like be able to taste the rest of the pizza. read more

We have consistently ordered from Pizzeria Lucca over the past year and it never disappoints. We have tried and enjoyed all the pizzas but our ultimate fave is the st.louie and the aloha. I thought the pizza was underwhelming for the money. We got the veggie and the hot honey chicken delivered and both were so saucy they seeped through the cardboard box and fell apart when you picked up a piece. I was hoping the hot honey chicken would have a little more kick to it too. With all the pizza places around here, I would pass this one up. But I will say, they were super fast in their service so if you're in a bind and need pizza quick, this is a great place for that! read more

Our regular pizza place is closed on Sundays, so we thought we would try something new. Everything was great! Called in our order - I explained what time we wanted our pizzas, and they were done right on time. I love receiving a text giving me an update on my specific order. The toppings were fresh, plentiful and with great flavors! Either the sausage or the sauce was nice and spicy! We ordered 2 12 inch pizzas for 4 adults and had some left over. We ordered them well done - we like the cheese a little browned. A couple of other reviews have had issues with the price, but I'm willing to pay a little more for a high quality and tasty pizza! My only suggestion would be to offer a thinner crust alternative-just a matter of our personal preference. read more

I would not return to this place. The food was good but the boss/manager was so rude. I arrived to pick up an order about 20 minutes after they opened. Had plan jane margarita pizza. Boy was I thrilled to find it delicious. Not sure what was better crust or sauce both were outstanding.

We had the St. Louie and it was excellent. This has become our new Friday night pizza place.

Wish I could say something good. I'm sure I saw them grab a frozen pie and throw it in the oven to make my slices. The pizza was all cheese to the point of just falling off the crust. The crust was hard and the entire thing tasted just like frozen pizza with cheese thrown on top. I had heard good things about this place but the slices were awful. No return for me. read more

I'm a veggie pizza lover and this place is my favorite! They really load on the toppings!

What a gem! We tried Pizzeria Lucca fir the first time last Sunday evening and all I can say is WOW! We ordered the Saint Louie pizza and the Italian Chopped salad. We always order our pizzas "well done" because the crust is a little crispier and the cheese is slightly browned which i prefer on a loaded pizza. Their sauce was plentiful with a nice spice to it. The toppings were fresh and very tasty. When I went inside to pickup our order had just come out of the oven and the cook/owner said it was a beautiful, well done pizza and he couldn't have been more right about that. The salad was fresh with a nice selection of meats, cheese and dressing. The garlic butter crostini's were icing on the cake, like I said this was our first experience at Pizzeria Lucca but definitely not our last. We'll be back soon. read more
