The food is always so yummy and the portions are generous. I love the patio in the summertime, especially on Thursday Date Night Special days (such a steal!!). The staff is so kind, hardworking, and keep everything clean. The staff are the best!

Man oh man! This is one of my hometown favorites! I used to come here a lot during college and just while I lived in MN... so it was nice to catch up with cousins and get lunch at a local favorite! All the food was great! They also serve I e cream for Sebastian, Joe's (which is ALSO a Minnesotan favorite). Service is always good and everyone was very attentive. And because we went to midday, it was nice to have a quiet place near the windows to sit and eat our meal! This place is great for our work meetings a quick bite or if you just want to Have a nice healthy option, but don't want to cook at home!

    Balsamic Chicken with Strawberries

Another company sponsored lunch and here are my thoughts: I ordered the Balsamic Chicken with strawberry salad that included goat cheese, walnuts, greens and balsamic vinaigrette. Not much of a stickler for buying salads from restaurants just because it's something I can make myself, but I thought it would be an easy feat this one time. Well I sure was mistaken lol. This is considered to be one of their "Signature Salads" which had me pumped to eat healthy, but I was totally mistaken. Though the greens were fresh and leafy, the chicken was very underwhelming and the vinaigrette added nothing to the meal. Two of the main things that could've bumped this salad up a few notches but instead made it worst in flavor and hard to enjoy. From what I heard, my colleagues who ordered sandwiches mentioned having a lot of bread to consume, with few pieces of meat to supplement. They also echoed dislike for how tasteless the chicken was. Their online menu looks so appealing and is indeed impressive but all of the anticipation I had built up prior to actually eating their food, was short lived.

First time eating here. Loved it! I had the Mushroom and Bacon fettuccine and my fiancé had spaghetti and meatballs. We both thought the portions were very nice, food was hot and flavorful! I was debating between this dish and something with shrimp and asparagus and the waiter said to order what I did, I didn't ask why but glad I got this creamy done to perfection dish. My fiancé had the endless craft beer for $10.00 he was very pleasantly surprised with this offering, they have it with their house wine also, but I just had lemon water tonight. The only dissapointment I had at D'Amico's was no french bread or garlic bread or any type of bread served with the entrees, I did not even see it on the menu if you wanted to add on extra $. I need bread with my pasta. Cute building with a nice outside eating area, prices were fair. Both of ours were approx $16.00/each. We will for sure be back. They have a date night special, for $50.00 for 2 entrees with unlimited beer or wine.

Saved our night a few times now. When you spend Al day with the family and your tried. The best thing is to make it easy. D'Amicos is the way to go. Spaghetti, sausage pizza, ice cream. Thank you for saving the day again.

Spaghetti and meatballs, Tuscan Chicken soup, penne pasta, and chicken & cherry pasta
    Valerie S.

This is my FAVORITE location of D'Amico & Sons in the twin cities. This restaurant has got it all: Big portions, quality ingredients, great menu options, short wait times for food, amazing service, awesome space (especially in the summer since there's a fountain in the back), and convenient parking! All at an affordable price point. This time we had the Tuscan soup, the Spaghetti and meatballs, the Chicken & Cherries pasta, and Chicken penne. The chicken penne had arugula, chicken, penne noodles, tomatoes, and was topped with balsamic vinegar as well as had a red and white sauce that the noodles were in. It tasted fantastic as usual. Same can be said for the chicken and cherries pasta, which has cherries, fusilli noodles, almonds, chicken, and is served in this house made sauce. The spaghetti and Tuscan chicken soup tasted great as well. Come here if you want a wonderful dining experience at a fair price!

D'Amico and Sons is a quaint little spot to go on your own for lunch or dinner. They are constantly making different menu items, but you can always count on something good. When you walk in the main pasta salads and mixes are all in the glass case to view. If you are unsure, they will let you taste it first. If it's available, I try to order this cold brusell sprout salad! They also have soups, hot or cold sandwiches, pasta meals, and pizzas, all prepared once you order. The food is brought out to your table hot and fresh. In the summer, I enjoy eating out on the patio next to the water fountain. This is my favorite D'Amico locations due to the atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and patio. Bonus-Sign up for their email updates and get a free meal in your birthday month! They also have date night that changes every month, but typically you can get a bottle of wine, 2 meals and dessert for $30.

It's a very pretty establishment that brings together the classic and the modern and feels both comfortable and classy. The food is great and perfect for the aforementioned snow: it's pure comfort. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were unique and delicious. Mostarda, candied almonds, and blue cheese, with beautifully caramelized sprouts? It hits sweet, piquant, bitter, and savory along with all the textures. It's a must-try and a definite contender for top treatment of Brussels sprouts. For our second side, we got the tomato sugo, which was a very satisfying starter. Deep, rich tomato flavor, the perfect level of salt and herbs: you can taste the love and time that went into it. (The focaccia that came with was amazing, but you could totally eat this with a spoon, too.) For my main, I had the red bucatini (yes, I like tomatoes, especially when paired with time). It was absolutely awesome--the pasta was cooked perfectly and was the perfect shape for the sauce. The sauce was great. The chili oil added an excellent kick. The garlic breadcrumbs added textural interest and flavor. Again with the perfect, savory made-with-love mouthfuls. I was truly enamored with this one. For dessert, everyone went for the budino, a rich, delicious chocolate-hazelnut pudding topped with a generous mound of silky vanilla whipped cream, crunchy sugar cookie crumbles, and a drizzle of EVOO. It was perfectly balanced and just the right amount. Tying everything together was excellent service from everyone who we encountered. Knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient, they made our evening all the more pleasant.

And the white spaghetti was very well balanced between the acidity from lemon, saltiness from the Parmesan cheese and garlickyness. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed an appetizer, a few bruschettas, and a few pastas on our most recent visit. Arancini were the perfect start: crispy, creamy, and a little spice from the sauce! Chicken Liver Mousse Bruschetta was the weak point in the meal as it just seemed to be lacking a component that balanced the richness of the mousse. The Crispy Pork Shoulder and Carrot Bruschetta was VERY salty, but I kinda enjoyed how it would make my mouth water, quenched by the creamy carrot puree. Service is always spectacular with a huge attention to detail and really customized spiels about the menu. The things I've recently tried for drinks have included the spritz del ambratta, the fiore, and a sparkling red from their wine selection. I find myself going back to the Fiore and would recommend that most although their wine is a solid selection as well. In my opinion, the best starter combination is the focaccia plus the lemony beans. The focaccia is solid and it's so good to dip in the mixture that the beans are doused in. The Caesar was decent as well but you can't miss with that other combo. Then, of course, the mains. If you love creamy pasta, do yourself a favor and get the cavatelli. One of my favorite dishes I've had there; I kept almost comparing it to an adult Mac and cheese. Great for sharing if creamy pastas are a bit too rich for your liking. The lasagna is always a close second and you can't go wrong with it. My friend adored the pickle pizza and I thought it was solid too although I would still probably get the cavatelli or lasagna if you are between that and the pizza. Another great shareable. The saffron spaghetti was decent with some really good bite from the noodles and the taste of saffron really coming through, but I would probably get those other dishes before I would order that. On the first occasion, I was there we were celebrating two of my friends' 30th birthdays and H&S did such a good job of celebrating and making them feel special plus they brought out French silk pie cannolis for us plus glasses of sparkling wine, so I would highly recommend this place as a celebratory dinner.
