This is a hidden gem! Went in for a drink & lunch with a couple buddy's on a Saturday. The service we received from our bartender was exceptional. She had made recommendations and educated us on the daily special. Mango margaritas all around... homemade juice 5/5. Ordered a full size tater tot basket. Nice portion 5/5. My husband and I had take out from here for breakfast. It's very close to us so we hoped we would like it, we didn't. My husband had biscuits and gravy which was completely covered in pepper. Unless you eat pepper straight out of the shaker you wouldn't like the gravy. I had the Cajun hash and it was okay. It was very flavorful. My wife and I ate here for the first time on Saturday 11/2. Service was friendly, and the food was great. I had "The Works" cheesesteak, and it was one of the best I've had anywhere. Honestly, I'll probably order the same thing every time we go back from here on out. Wife had spaghetti and meatballs, which she enjoyed. They also had a special Ecuadorean menu for the weekend, which looked very good, but I was on a mission for cheesesteak. Today I was pretty hungry, craving for some great bar food and I saw some pretty good reviews on yelp claiming "Best pizza in rosemount" and "Best Philly in Twin cities area" which are some pretty bold claims. I was interested so I was prepared to see what the hype is about. I drove 10 miles excited to see if the claims were true and try this bar for the first time. I hop out of my truck and see a lady walk in the door in front of me so I assume that they are still open. Open sign on, Hours on the door stating "going until 11:00" and "Come on in" I walk up to the door and a Dr Evil lookalike opens the door and tells me "We're closed, haven't had traffic for an hour" and closes the door behind him. What?? You are telling me despite all the signs and online claims, On a Saturday night you are going to close in the 7pm hour? What a joke. Tried to be a customer, and now never will be. p.s. Tops is TRYING to be kid friendly but they are failing: everything is spicy. Even their red breakfast potatoes are spicy. Their homemade breakfast sausage is essentially meat candy but is still too hot and spicy for little people. There are No Changing Tables. We made the mistake of ordering the taco pizza - mistaking it for a different local restaurant with a great one. Whoever made the pizza presumably does not eat it. If they did, the fresh vegetables would have been in smaller pieces and there would have been more meat that was freshly cooked instead of the pellets we were served with twenty five hienz taco sauce packets on the side. We will probably gamble on this restaurant in another year or two. When we do, I hope that they properly label their breakfast scrambler as such instead of trying to convince me it's hash. Like, bro, hash is French for chopped!!! PleaseTopps Special Pizza don't serve me deep fried potatoes covered in sugar and cayenne with chunks of stew meat and tell me it's hash. That's called a scrambler. Hash is chopped meat - chopped like hand chopped before grinders existed - and small diced soft potatoes. I should have bought a frozen pizza.. I wanted something already prepared and Dominick's in IGH are closed Sunday's so I found myself here ordering takeout. I haven't been here since 2015 & I don't remember it being terrible so I gave it another try. Pizza was salty, soggy, and falling apart.. I ordered spinach on it and it doesn't look like they even baked the topping on, rather threw it on top of the already made pizza 5 minutes before taking it out the oven. My kid had the mini Philly. I tasted it.. nothing too special about it. I'll go with my gut next time and throw a frozen pizza in the oven. read more

We ordered pizza from T.O.P.S on a Sunday night, and we were very happy with the food that was delivered to our house! We got the Steve's Special ($21.95 for a large) and the Combo Special ($21.95 for a large). My boyfriend said the person he spoke with on the phone was a bit difficult to understand because they had a strong accent. It took longer to order because he felt he was lost in translation a few times. Within half an hour, we heard our doorbell ring, and BAM. There was the pizza man. The pizza man is one of the most welcomed guests we could possibly have on our doorstep, and on Sunday Night Football, he was even more appreciated. You can't watch football without pizza. T.O.P.S pizza pies are THIN CRUST and CUT INTO SMALL SQUARE PIECES for those of you wondering. These are my absolute favorite types of pizzas (I know, I know...call me a pizza snob, but say it with an Italian accent to make it better). I feel like I can eat a lot more when they're cut into square snack-sized pieces. I loved both of the pizzas we got...they were topped with sooooooo much melty cheese, and the steak on the Steve's Special was superb. Let me first start off by saying that the owner's and their son are delightful people to deal with. The son especially has an eye towards providing you with a quality experience each time you come here. Now, onto the food and service.... Gyro - Nothing to write home about. Everything in the gyro was old/had been sitting too long. Lamb, like any other meat, hardens on the outside when it's been sitting too long. We lucked out though, because it was still just moist enough to be edible. We ordered this around 9pm on a week night. It was moderately busy, but if anything they were overstaffed for the evening. Zeus Burger - Same problem as with the gyro. The problems here were more apparent because the Zeus burger is essentially lamb and a burger bun. Spaghetti and Meatballs - Sauce from a can! And bland sauce at that. So much potential here, but its very clear that they are using the pizza sauce here and in this format, the sauce comes off as bland. Meatballs were ok, nothing to write home about. Meatball Sub - Disappointing. This sub was difficult to eat due to the size of the meatballs and was drenched in pizza sauce, to the point where it became a nuisance. I'll go back because the options in Rosemount are limited. The good here has so much potential, but suffers from lack of freshness and a lack of bolder flavors. read more

My kids could eat their own weight in cheese pizza, and my husband always gets a massive"the works" cheese steak. I finally decided to have a cheese steak to see what all the hype is about- Oh. My. I love cheese steaks, and my bf's coworker raves about how great the cheese steaks are here. So I finally gave it a try. I ordered the cheese steak with mushrooms and my bf had the regular cheese steak. Mediocre at best. The cheese wasn't even melted in with the steak. And the bread was kinda hard. To make things worse, fries didn't even come with the sandwiches. We paid $35 before tips for just two regular steak sandwiches, side of OK fries, and two sodas. A bit much if you ask me. I haven't been to Tops since the management changed. Always use to get pizza, considered it the best around. Last night my boyfriend and I decided to see what it was like, since we saw they had pull tabs too. When we got there we saw there were only 2 boxes. I asked the server why they only have two and she said the managers don't want the hassle. Weird, would draw in alot more guests. We ordered the sampler. Ravioli, curds, and fried pickles. We got fried mushrooms ????? Seemed we had to keep going to the bar to tell our server what we wanted...anyway, the beer I ordered castle danger was also out. The kicker here is after we got the app the server asked if we were ready to order because the kitchen wanted to close. It was 715pm and they close st 9. Immediately i felt as an inconvenience. I told the server to grab the tab. I saw the manager walk over to the server and she explained to the manager we were upset. The manager didn't even come over to apologize. I have loved Tops forever and I missed it when I moved south three years ago. We just moved back and I was excited to go back and eat at my favorite establishment only to find it has new owners. I got really sick on the Poutine Burger and the prices were outrageous. My husband and I used to get a whole cheesesteak and I'd have them take the mushrooms off my side and we'd split the cheesesteak. We asked to do it this time and they said "no we'd have to buy two halves". Of course that comes out to a higher price. For 4 people it cost us $73.00. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!! I could have gone to a 4 star restaurant and got a better meal. To add insult to injury it was very cold inside the place which made it hard to enjoy the meal. Love the gyros at T.O.P.S! We used to live a few minutes away and tried it out a few years ago. We've been back numerous times even now that we are a 20 minute round trip away and have never been disappointed. Only cut off one star this time around (ordered gyros to go a couple weeks ago) because it seemed that the portion sizes were significantly reduced. We will continue to come back though as it's the best gyro we've found for the price without having to head over to Bloomington. read more

This is my favorite pizza place ever! They are family run, so they really rely on local customers, which is why they go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience! They added on a few years ago and now have extra seating and a full bar. The menu is still the same thiugh, and it's ALL good and large portions. They even have a food challenge with an extra large Philly steak sandwich and 2 pounds of fries! Good luck with that. The pizza is of course the best part. Extra cheese layered on top with a crispy crust and always hot out of the oven. A ordered take out for here at lunch. This is a family run business and the when you come in they really treat you like family, very pleasant people. I got the TOPS pizza with Double cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, beef, green peppers, onions, and sausage but I had them hold the peppers. The pizza had a very good, unique flavor. The pie wasn't smothered with pizza sauce, it had enough to just barely taste it, something that I enjoyed in this instance. The pizza ingredients worked very well together bur the beef was a little different than I'm used to. The beef was ground very fine, almost pulverized. That gave the pizza a very different texture that some might not enjoy as much as beef chunks on the pizza. Will I be back? Sure, it's right down the street from where I work :) read more

My gyro's were over cooked, and I had to ask 3 times for for cuke sauce. My son's pizza was OK, but for $15, it should be fantastic. My salad dressing was like the cheap Cub brand blue cheese. Dinner for 4 (no booze or beer) was over $55.00. Over priced and underwhelming. I live nearby so hoped this would be a great neighborhood place. Not so. read more
