This was a delivery order. We ordered the tomato basil soup which was very good and gluten free. We both ordered half a sandwich. I ordered the tuna and my sister the turkey. She said hers was very good and mine was as well. FYI....i didn't know this but with the gluten free bread/ which was very good/ you can only order a full sandwich. Chicken salad focaccia is so good but the portion has gone down so much that it is all now just bread so quit going.

I learned my lesson of ordering waaay too much food, so this time I got 1/2 Roasted Veggies on ciabatta which was the perfect size with a cup of Three Onion Potato soup. (As is my habit I also got a salad to have for lunch the next day.) The sandwich's roasted veggies are plentiful and I needed a fork to get it to a size where I could pick it up, and still some veggies slid out. It was a deliciously messy sandwich, which is the best kind! Flavorful, toasted bread and a generous portion of roast onions, peppers, shallots, and more. The Three Onion Potato soup was thick and packed with flavor. The onions were not detectable except by flavor, meaning they must be puréed into the potatoes and the result is delightful. The Florentine salad is spinach with orzo, sun-dried tomatoes, kalmata olives, roasted onions and more. Pine nuts add a nice crunch and goat cheese add creaminess. The balsamic vinaigrette was perfect on it and a small was a perfect size for lunch the next day. I'm getting hungry just writing this review of Zuppa's mouthwatering food! read more

I really, really love their chicken salad focaccia. It is probably my favorite food lol. Their focaccia is unparalleled. However, I've been so disappointed since I had to switch to gluten free. They do have a bread option (standard GF), but they cut the amount of food you get by at least half on top of charging more for the bread. The soups are tasty but extremely rich, so I recommend splitting or ordering the smaller size! The wraps are about 50% spinach. This isn't an exaggeration, there's literally a solid inch of packed spinach so you're for sure getting your veggies in! My fiancé loved the pizza however it does take much longer (obviously), so be ready to wait. Overall, I would recommend pickup orders because they are real busy regardless of the time of day! read more

We've been here a couple times now and each time has been such a positive experience! The folks working here are so friendly and helpful! The sandwiches and soup are soooo good! The dining area is always kept nice and clean, everything by the drink station as well. The first time we came, I got the veggie ciabatta sandwich that had the portabella and roasted zucchini, with the tomato basil feta soup on the side, and it was all insanely delicious! This time around I tried the marinated chicken focaccia sandwich, which was kinda of like a Greek salad with kalamata, feta, etc. and the soup of the day, which was stuffed bell pepper soup. Not going to lie, I still dream about this sandwich. Kidding but honestly can't wait to go back. Went here for a lunch break and will definitely be coming back. I got half a tuna sandwich and cup of minestrone. The minestrone was typical --good! but the tuna sandwich was amazing! The ciabatta was soft and the lemon aioli made it nice and buttery...definitely recommend getting a soup with any ciabatta sandwich so you can dip. The only negative thing I have to say is why didn't I try this place sooner?! The warm focaccia is sooo good. Many salads, wraps, sandwiches, pizza, soup options. Literally there is something for everyone at this little shop. My hubby ordered the tomato basil soup and it was yummy! Love the food here, been going for years. The service I received today though from what seemed to be a male manager makes me not want to give my business anymore. I get an Italian wrap, started ordering extra chicken lately noticing that it's more spinach than anything to make it look fuller. Looked at the wrap before leaving and for paying 2 dollars extra for more chicken, which I'm fine with, there still is very little even in the wrap. I asked the man working about paying extra and still having little in the wrap and he proceeded to get louder then necessary and say "that's how we've always done it, 22 years, don't know what to tell you. If you want more you can get two." He was very short and snippy with his speech, unwelcoming and felt as if I was being talked down to and dismissed. Prices are definitely on point--you're getting the quality of Panera for about half the price. The croutons have a homemade taste to them--they appear to be very similar to the garlic crostinis that are for sale. I have not had a service issue to date either. I'm not in Shakopee often, but when I am this is the place I usually stop for food. Zuppa Cucina has a wide variety of soups, salads, pizza, and sandwiches. They usually have some great daily specials that are worth checking out as well. I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap with pasta salad. The wrap itself was flavorful and large enough that I saved half for lunch the next day. It was my mistake for not checking what exactly was in the pasta salad as I'm not a fan of olives and it was loaded with them. Even after picking them out I could still taste them--not a complaint just a heads up. Service has always been friendly and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. read more

When you enter this cute soup kitchen you're greeted with a smile and the best customer service i believe i've ever experienced and they are very personable. The food is absolutely amazing and for a shockingly low price along with options to take home their delicious homemade soups up to a gallon! I visited on vacation and came back the very next day and plan on visiting this restaurant any time i'm in shakopee area.
