I have been eyeing this place for years and finally gave them a try for lunch. I can def see why it's so popular! The physical place itself is decent, like a step above hole in the wall, but service was fast and friendly. You have the option to tip on your order if you like. I ordered the spicy melt and lemme tell you, it was Delish. Again, she didn't look like much to me but that spicy sauce had so much flavor and just enough heat. The bread was fresh and buttery. There was a substantial amount of turkey that balanced well with each of the other toppings. I ate half my sub and was satisfied. Some people may want more or less, but for me a $10 sub is gonna be two great meals. The sides of slaw and potato salad look kinda small for $1.75 but if theyre house made and tasty could be worth it. The cookies and Carmelita bars looked amazing. I will for sure be back to try another sub and hopefully some of their sides and/or desserts. read more

Sooooo good. If you live or work nearby, I'm jealous. The JC's sub is outstanding. Loaded with hot ingredients, including chicken, cheese, banana peppers, and roasted red peppers. Didn't wait long, either. read more

Awesome sandwich shop in St Louis Park. Several tasty sounding options all for a good price. The sandwich I got - spicy melt - was $9.99. Great quality - crisp veggies, perfectly melted cheese, good amount of meat, and fresh bread. Has a parking spot as well so it is easy to access. Come try it out! read more

In the area and thought we'd check out JC's Subs for some lunch. Dining area is a bit small, but works. We ordered the JC's Sub with a side of potato salad, the Italian sub with chips, the Chicken Ranch sub and the Chipotle Cheesesteak Sub with a side of potato salad and one Bottled water, with a second bottle purchased later. All sandwiches were good and we all equally agreed the sub we ordered were good for the person who ordered. All sandwiches were from the "hot" menu. The staff was nice enough. The facility was relatively clean. Some stuff under the counter. They do not offer fountain drinks so when we asked for a cup for water. Hard pass on tap water. They also offer cold sandwiches and sweet treats if you desire. read more

Dining area is small. All of the subs we ordered were good. The potato salad doesn't have much flavor, but texture was good. The staff was nice and offered sandwich ideas. Everything is ordered separately, no meal deals (sandwich, side, drink). read more

Very disappointing salad and sandwich. Gave us someone else's order, which we returned. The greek salad was mostly lettuce. No cucumbers, very small pieces of kalamata olives, vinagrette was bitter, small pieces of tomato. Cubano sandwich was on old hard bread, the pork was dry and tough, almost no mustard, the pickles were razor thin, ham was very skimpy. Used to be alot better then this. read more

Super fast and easy to order. A little hole in the wall place. Ordered cheesesteaks, Cole slaw and a kids grilled cheese. Price was awesome which is hard to find now days! The Cole slaw was delicious! I could have ate 10 sides! The Philly was not bad, it just wasn't one of those "blow your mind" items, but no complaints. And got the "combo" but it doesn't include a drink which was a bit strange to me. Overall pretty good. I'll try this place again because there are a few different items I'd like to try read more

Service was great & sandwiches are delicious. The bread was so good and soft. They have a big variety of hot and cold subs.

Making my way through all the sub shops! When you get that craving, nothing else will do. This was a tasty stop on my journey! I ordered the Spicy Melt Sub, JCs Sub, Potato Salad, the Pickle, and a Sugar Cookie. First off, the bread is perfect and soft! It's not that overly thick ciabatta bread that throws off the meat to bread ratio, it's balanced. The Spicy Melt wasn't spicy, in fact, I don't even think I felt a tingle, but it was still a solid sammy. In general, I wish both sandwiches were saucier (just personal preference and I'm sure they could be ordered that way). JCs Sub had great flavor! Gotta love a chipotle sauce and all the flavorful roasted veggies! The pickle was picklin' and the potato salad was tasty! It wasn't super mustard forward if you're the type that likes it less tangy. Really I haven't met a potato salad I don't like! I ordered this for delivery. It was made very fast and delivered fast! read more

Such an awesome little local spot! They're known for cheesesteaks but do it all, in true deli fashion. My partner has been dying to try this spot and we finally got around to it. When we found out they do free delivery within 4 miles, we were even more excited! We placed our order over the phone and the food arrived within 40 minutes. They offer gluten-free wraps which is incredible! I got the turkey avocado wrap and really enjoyed it. My partner got the chipotle cheesesteak, my dad got the deli sub, and my mom got the beet salad with chicken. All tasted great and fresh deli meat always hits the spot. We had a bit of an issue communicating our address over the phone but the driver was able to message me to confirm. I can't speak to the interior or ambiance inside since we got delivery, but will stop in in person soon! read more

Strictly basing this review off the food this place is 4.7. Very good Cuban and Tuna melt. If you're a big fella, you may need two though. If my sub had two more inches I would be happy. read more

What a gem tucked away in St. Louis park! I had no idea this was right by the huge shopping area and will definitely be coming back anytime I'm in the area. I went right before close and the employees were welcoming and cooked my cheesesteak to order. The sandwich was incredible and had a ton of flavor and toppings. If you're craving a local greasy (in a good way) cheesesteak, this is the place. There's plenty of parking out front and seating inside. I also saw a sign for doordash and other delivery services. They have seasonal soups and sandwiches for extra options. read more

My go-to is the JC Sub. The red onions are pickled giving it some sweet spices. I've tried the soups and they are pretty basic. I love the variety of their sandwiches and they have weekly specials. If you like sandwiches you need to try this place. They have plenty of parking in front. Only a few small tables inside and outside. Most people seem to get it to-go. read more

JC's is consistently delicious and their service is friendly and inviting. I love that they offer delivery and it's much, much quicker than other delivery platforms. Love this little sandwich spot! It's very hidden but the flavor is not! Located close to the shops at west end so you can get your shopping done as well. I had the Cubano this time and it was very good. The meat was so tender and it was just the right amount of food. Parking lot is small but its never is a problem. read more

I decided after work tonight, I was in the mood for a cheesesteak... I used Yelp to find this place. All I can say was that it was everything I wanted. Juicy/ tasty/ and moist!!!! Yummmmmm I got the chipotle cheesesteak with no green peppers, no onions, but added mushrooms. Then I got the Italian again with no onions. I took one bite of the Italian. It was very very yummy. I ate the whole cheesesteak !!! Yum The bread was not dry. It literally soaked up all the juices, but wasn't gross. It was nice soft bread. I would highly recommend this place. read more

This little hole in the wall is an assuming from the outside, but their sandwiches are to die for! Great service as well. You could order your sub and in no time you have a piping hot sub in your face, waiting to be devoured. The prices are also very reasonable! read more

I accidentally stumbled across JC's Subs while looking for local delivery options that didn't have a high/any delivery minimum (just me tonight!). I was feeling a sandwich and took a look at the menu and decided to give it a go. I ordered online for delivery and I don't think I've ever received an order so quickly. I placed my order and had it in my hands within 20 minutes. So far, so good! The sandwich I ordered was the Spicy Melt. It came wrapped in foil and was still nice and hot when I unwrapped it. It was delicious! I like the kick you get from their spicy sauce. It's tolerable for someone like me who doesn't like super spicy foods. There was a generous amount of meat and cheese on the sandwich and the ciabatta bread was really good! Now that I've tried JC's Subs this is definitely going to be a go-to for me. Delivery was quick and easy and the sandwich was delicious. I'm so glad I stumbled across it! Please note this review is based off my experience with delivery only, I have not yet been to the restaurant in person. Hope to change that soon! read more

Hot Italian Sub. What a treat! I ordered light dressing, which I do on everything, everywhere. The cashier and I had a strangely long conversation about appreciation of non soggy food, with respect to those of you who do. Most restaurants are heavy handed to the extreme. Oh my, what a find, I'm glad I went out of my way to try this little sub shop. I tried the Cubano, since it was on Special, and it did NOT disappoint ! I will be going back to try one of their cheesesteaks because it smelled so good when you walk in. Give this place a try if you appreciate a very good sandwich ! read more

THE BEST SANDWICH I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. We ordered the Colorado Cheesesteak (no mushroom) and it was divine. It has a spicy aioli sauce on it and it was the perfect kick to jazz it up. Excellent sandwiches, with generous amounts of meat, and delicious bread. We ordered a Rachel, a Cubano, and a turkey & avocado sub. The ciabatta bread was especially fresh and yummy. I always prefer ordering food from a local place like this, especially right now. I'd recommend they add more vegetarian sandwiches to their menu, as there's only one. I'm knocking down a star because we asked for contactless delivery -- that was an option on the website -- and we did not get it. read more

Above average sandwiches. The sandwiches are strong on flavor. Both the hot and cold were good.

Well, damn! Had a dining advantage coupon for a BOGO & decided to get this for lunch (my significant other could never get me to go there because I'm not a sandwich fiend). I just inhaled the JC's Sub from JC's Subs and that was fire Very flavorful with high quality ingredients. I don't typically order meat from sandwich shops (i.e. rubber subway chicken), but the chicken here was sooo good. My man got his pulled pork, cause it's his fave, and he finally satisfied his craving. Highly recommend! Support local! read more

Here's what you get for your non-insignificant amount of money: a basic sandwich with plenty of meat some melted cheese and toasted bread. Those three components are of good quality. What you don't get is any significant amount of flavor. For example, my wife and I ordered a Cubano and a pastrami sandwich and both were essentially flavorless. The Cubano had mustard on it that was far too diluted with mayonnaise to even taste, and it had one slice, and I'm talking round slice, pickle on each half of the sandwich (the sandwich was cut in half). The pastrami was tender and juicy, but the sandwich on a whole lacked flavor as there were no other components of the sandwich in the bread cheese and pastrami; there was a little to no seasonings. We've had far better for this amount of money. For example the daily dose café and espresso in Maple Grove. read more

Good quick option for a high quality warm sub. The daily specials are the way to go!

Great ingredients, and amazing sandwiches. Would have to recommend any of the hot subs, but the cold subs are fresh & hit the spot as well. Not to mention the service- some of the nicest folks you'll meet and always greeting familiar faces at the door. 10/10 read more

JC's is, simply, the best sandwich shop I have EVER patronized. I seldom write reviews on yelp, but this sandwich shop deserves all the praise. We've all seen small operations like this, and while the food may be great, there's always something missing on the business or service side, and failure is imminent. At JC's, something is different. The sandwiches are absolutely perfect, the service is stunning, and they seem to be minding their Ps and Qs. Not only do I love their food (I've been there four or five times in the last month alone), but they seem to have the most accurate pick-up times of any restaurant I've visited during the pandemic. To the minute, in fact. Something good is happening here. Don't wait. Grab a meal TODAY. read more
