Very disappointing salad and sandwich. Gave us someone else's order, which we returned. The greek salad was mostly lettuce. No cucumbers, very small pieces of kalamata olives, vinagrette was bitter, small pieces of tomato. In the area and thought we'd check out JC's Subs for some lunch. Dining area is a bit small, but works. We ordered the JC's Sub with a side of potato salad, the Italian sub with chips, the Chicken Ranch sub and the Chipotle Cheesesteak Sub with a side of potato salad and one Bottled water, with a second bottle purchased later. All sandwiches were good and we all equally agreed the sub we ordered were good for the person who ordered. All sandwiches were from the "hot" menu. The staff was nice enough. The facility was relatively clean. Some stuff under the counter. They do not offer fountain drinks so when we asked for a cup for water. Hard pass on tap water. Super fast and easy to order. A little hole in the wall place. Ordered cheesesteaks, Cole slaw and a kids grilled cheese. Price was awesome which is hard to find now days! The Cole slaw was delicious! I could have ate 10 sides! The Philly was not bad, it just wasn't one of those "blow your mind" items, but no complaints. I ordered the Spicy Melt Sub, JCs Sub, Potato Salad, the Pickle, and a Sugar Cookie. First off, the bread is perfect and soft! It's not that overly thick ciabatta bread that throws off the meat to bread ratio, it's balanced. The Spicy Melt wasn't spicy, in fact, I don't even think I felt a tingle, but it was still a solid sammy. In general, I wish both sandwiches were saucier (just personal preference and I'm sure they could be ordered that way). JCs Sub had great flavor! Gotta love a chipotle sauce and all the flavorful roasted veggies! The pickle was picklin' and the potato salad was tasty! It wasn't super mustard forward if you're the type that likes it less tangy. Such an awesome little local spot! They're known for cheesesteaks but do it all, in true deli fashion. My partner has been dying to try this spot and we finally got around to it. When we found out they do free delivery within 4 miles, we were even more excited! We placed our order over the phone and the food arrived within 40 minutes. They offer gluten-free wraps which is incredible! I got the turkey avocado wrap and really enjoyed it. My partner got the chipotle cheesesteak, my dad got the deli sub, and my mom got the beet salad with chicken. All tasted great and fresh deli meat always hits the spot. We had a bit of an issue communicating our address over the phone but the driver was able to message me to confirm. What a gem tucked away in St. Louis park! I had no idea this was right by the huge shopping area and will definitely be coming back anytime I'm in the area. I went right before close and the employees were welcoming and cooked my cheesesteak to order. The sandwich was incredible and had a ton of flavor and toppings. My go-to is the JC Sub. The red onions are pickled giving it some sweet spices. I've tried the soups and they are pretty basic. I love the variety of their sandwiches and they have weekly specials. I decided after work tonight, I was in the mood for a cheesesteak... I used Yelp to find this place. All I can say was that it was everything I wanted. Juicy/ tasty/ and moist!!!! Yummmmmm I got the chipotle cheesesteak with no green peppers, no onions, but added mushrooms. Then I got the Italian again with no onions. I took one bite of the Italian. It was very very yummy. I accidentally stumbled across JC's Subs while looking for local delivery options that didn't have a high/any delivery minimum (just me tonight!). I was feeling a sandwich and took a look at the menu and decided to give it a go. I ordered online for delivery and I don't think I've ever received an order so quickly. I placed my order and had it in my hands within 20 minutes. So far, so good! The sandwich I ordered was the Spicy Melt. It came wrapped in foil and was still nice and hot when I unwrapped it. It was delicious! I like the kick you get from their spicy sauce. It's tolerable for someone like me who doesn't like super spicy foods. There was a generous amount of meat and cheese on the sandwich and the ciabatta bread was really good! Now that I've tried JC's Subs this is definitely going to be a go-to for me. Delivery was quick and easy and the sandwich was delicious. I'm so glad I stumbled across it! Here's what you get for your non-insignificant amount of money: a basic sandwich with plenty of meat some melted cheese and toasted bread. Those three components are of good quality. What you don't get is any significant amount of flavor. For example, my wife and I ordered a Cubano and a pastrami sandwich and both were essentially flavorless. The Cubano had mustard on it that was far too diluted with mayonnaise to even taste, and it had one slice, and I'm talking round slice, pickle on each half of the sandwich (the sandwich was cut in half). The pastrami was tender and juicy, but the sandwich on a whole lacked flavor as there were no other components of the sandwich in the bread cheese and pastrami; there was a little to no seasonings. We've had far better for this amount of money. For example the daily dose café and espresso in Maple Grove. read more
