I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant after recently moving to Long Lake, and I chose it to celebrate my birthday. I let the host know it was a special occasion when I was seated, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. After being seated, I waited 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged me or took my order. When someone finally came by, I placed both my drink and food order right away. I ordered a Cosmopolitan, the breadbasket with oil and balsamic vinegar, the grilled mushroom and gorgonzola salad, and the bucatini rosa. The Cosmo was excellent--perfectly balanced and well made. However, the breadbasket only came with one piece of bread, even though the menu indicated it included two. The wait for my food was unusually long. It took over an hour for my salad to arrive, though I will say it was delicious and generously portioned. About 20 minutes after that, my pasta was served--but by then I was already quite full from the salad. My server had mentioned she would bring more bread, but unfortunately it never came. Later in the evening, she acknowledged that she had heard it was my birthday and, in light of the long wait times, offered me a complimentary dessert of my choice. I opted for a slice of chocolate cake to take home, as I had barely touched my pasta and requested a box. However, I later discovered I had been charged for the cake. They were very busy, and I didn't feel like waiting around to have it corrected--perhaps I misunderstood the offer, though it was disappointing. As a solo diner, I believe a bit more attentiveness goes a long way. Dining out alone, especially on a birthday, can be a vulnerable experience, and I had hoped for something more welcoming. Instead, I felt largely ignored throughout the evening. Overall, while there were a few highlights, such as the cocktail and the quality of the food, the long delays and lack of service made this a rather disheartening experience.

I won't gatekeep this! Primo is the ultimate "sleeper" restaurant. I don't venture out to Long Lake, but came here for a valentine's night reservation. It was jam packed for the occasion, but we still had a great time sitting at the bar. The chicken parm was INCREDIBLE! In fact, so good, I forgot to take a picture. Probably the best chicken parm I've had! Portions were large- pro tip, you can ask them to split portions. I will definitely be back

What a great spot for dinner and drinks! Stumbled upon this place as we were in the area for an apple orchard and got hungry. I was craving pasta and this place came up. We didn't have reservations but were able to get a seat. Service was great and we had great recommendations I loved my pasta dish with clams and felt it was such a great sick surprisingly light. My husband dish was so so so good as well. The sausage in the pasta was beyond tasty and was exactly what he was looking for. My drink which I can't remember the name was super good. They give you complimentary bread and that bread was delicious paired with olive oil and balsamic. I wish the basket had more on an assortment of bread and crackers as that would make it stand out even more. Over all enjoyed my experience and plan on making the drive to eat at this place.

This restaurant is a "over achiever" OH MY WORD... I am still dreaming about the Alfredo! It was still amazing the next day!!! Ok, I got ahead of myself. The restaurant is small but quaint. The service was spectacular! Order the lemoncello/ lemon drop martini it's delicious. We also had a gin and dirty martini which were excellent. We then moved on to wine, followed by great food. The red sauce was robust and flavorful... but I can't get over the Alfredo! I won't lie it's priced on the high side but I'm still going back.

Solid Italian restaurant. We've been a couple times and have tried the Strozzapreti Primavera, the Bucatini Rosa, and the Spaghetti and Meatballs. We've also tried the Risotto Arancini, Calamari, and Mussels off the appetizers menu. Everything we've had was good - so far the Bucatina Rosa was my fav.

Anna was our server and she was fabulous! We sat outside the patio was shaded and the weather was prefect with a nice breeze. My husband got the Meat Balls and Spaghetti and said they were good and had a little kick so spice. His favorite was the bread and I agreed it was warm and had just enough crackle when you tore it apart and soft at the same time. They give you a mixture of olive oil, balsamic, and cheese to dip your bread in and it was delicious!! I got the Alfredo with pesto added it was soo cream and the flavor was on point. We also got the Garden or house salad can't remember what it was called and shared it. We got balsamic dressing and the lemon slice to squeeze on added just the right demotion to the salad flavor. Service and food was great and I would go back again when in town!

. Dinner for four…read moreas a Christmas treat, and our first time at Josefina and it did not disappoint. Nestled right along one of the most scenic lakeshores in Minnesota, Wayzata brings a charm that's hard to beat. Between the lake views, walkable streets, and vibrant energy, the setting alone makes the evening feel special and Josefina fits right into that experience with a great atmosphere and inviting space. The food matched the setting. We started with appetizers, the Brussels sprouts and focaccia were excellent and then moved into a mix of pastas and pizza. The rigatoni and gnocchi were rich and flavorful, and the pizza was spot on. Paired with a good mix of wine and beer, it made for a really enjoyable night. We shared everything family-style, which made it even better, sampling each dish, lingering at the table, and finishing with a shared dessert. A great spot for a night out in Wayzata good food, great setting, and even better company.

The shrimp was nice and hot with a perfect coating of parm keeping it light and tasty. Ravioli had a nice topping which created a good contrast of textures. It came in two sizes and the smaller portion was more than enough for me. We finished our meal with a shared crème brûlée. Creamy custard and a crispy top was a perfect end to the meal. Service was excellent. We were well taken care of and never felt rushed despite it being a very busy night. Great stop.

The focaccia bread was liberating and luxuriant. We decided upon the Zuppa Tosacana- a soup which Olive Garden once held 1st place for in my opinion- but now does not. The Zuppa was souptacular and soupendous, a more hearty consistency than the more viscous counterpart served at the Garden of Olives. The pizza Salumi picanna was scrumptious, the texture of the crust was to my liking. My pregnant wife ravenously devoured the cacio e pepe (she also ate most of the Zuppa, I lament that I only tatsted the smallest part of it). Our waitress Mikayla was sublime, and promptly got our orders in with food brought out in proper timing. We finished with dessert (we don't normally get dessert because we live in an apartment and don't have a lot of dinero, but my good Christian mentor provided my wife and I with funds out of the goodness of his heart to bless us with a nice meal tonight) so we splurged and decided upon the tirimasu cheesecake, which we took to go. Overall, our experience was magical, and I can fully recommend the enterprise of Signore Kevin and his fine establishment

We were seated quickly at 6pm. The food was good! We opted for the beet bruschetta appetizer in lieu of dessert. I thought the sweetness of the honey ricotta played well against the earthiness of the beats. And the ciabatta bread was chewy and flavorful. The wedge Caesar was good, I loved the homemade croutons. A little heavy on the dressing, but you could tell it was homemade and had great flavor from the anchovy- a solid Caesar dressing. My husband got the seafood pasta, and I got the spaghetti and meatballs. He loved his, and I loved the bold flavor of the house made red pasta sauce. The meatballs were big and well seasoned. My only critique, and perhaps this is unfair, but the pasta was clearly not homemade and I wished it was. The only hiccup is that the date night was advertised as coming with a bottle of wine, and we were charged $20 for the bottle we got. It was explained to me that they had said in the beginning that the wine was "a $20 mystery bottle" meaning we couldn't choose it. I interpreted this to me that the free bottle of wine that was advertised as part of the date night was valued at $20. I explained this felt like a little bit of a trick and the charge was removed from our bill without any fuss. That was much appreciated. Because of how that was handled, we will definitely return! Overall, it was a pleasant evening, and I enjoyed myself. Stand out was the bruschetta for sure. Server was friendly and cheerful and didn't rush us.
