The worst pedicure ever!!! Did not use any skin softener or scrubs, spent more time messaging the oil on my legs than the whole pedicure itself. I informed him i needed a good scrubbing on my winter feet. Scrubbed my feet with a scrubber sponge and water for 30 seconds. No product or scrub. Stopped in today as a walk in for a shellac pedicure. They were busy but said I could come back in an hour so I did. The selection of different shellac polishes is impressive! The chairs are comfy with a nice selection of different massages. The salon is clean and sanitary. I like that they use liners in their pedicure tubs. Nancy did my pedicure and did an amazing job. I have not had one in a few years so my feet were in rough shape. She took her time and put in so much detail on making sure the cuticles were perfect, the nails filed flawlessly and polished to perfection. To end it off my feet were wrapped in hot towels and massaged. Thank you for such an amazing pedicure! I will gladly be coming back here next month for another. read more

Walked in to get a shellac manicure after not having visited this salon in a very long time. The manicure was enjoyable, and my nails look great. I've had good experiences with pedicures here in the past also! Update: I've returned every two weeks for the past 6 months for shellac manicures on my natural nails, and a pedicure once per month. In my ongoing quest to find a place to get a good pedicure and manicure in the burbs; I found myself at Tips and Toes. They are located in a strip mall in Pewaukee that at one time was actually full. Now there are a couple of stores besides them. It just looks like a sad strip mall now. This is not anyplace fancy, but they do a decent job. I did the deluxe pedicure for $43 which is not too bad, but next time probably will just get the basic. Everyone is really nice here. The girl was a bit surprised when I told her no to the cheese grater thing to my foot. Those things scare me! The polish selection definitely could use some additions and many of the bottles just need to be tossed out. They are going on my list of places I'll go back to for mani/pedi. read more

I honestly was shocked to see how many positive reviews this salon had! Obviously people had MUCH different experiences than I had! I came in here to have my nails (toes and finger) done before my wedding. Everything went fine with the pedicure, looked great and stayed on for a long time. Very relaxing experience! Since a wedding is a special day, I decided to get an acrylic manicure done (french tips). I am a veterinary technician and my nails get really chewed up (no pun intended) with my work and they looked pretty horrible for photos. I had heard great things about acrylic nails and decided to give them a try. What an absolutely horrific mistake. I had never had acrylic nails put on before and the process seemed abnormal but I wasn't entirely sure as I'd never had it done before. She seemed to be buffing and scraping my nails a lot more than was necessary. Within 2 hours of getting them put on, I was in horrible pain. My fingertips became very red and swollen and I was in so much discomfort from the nails that I could barely touch anything. I knew that this could be an uncommon allergic reaction so I took ibuprofen and it improved quite a bit. The day of my wedding, it felt like I had tiny rubberbands cutting off the circulation to each of my fingertips. A week later when my husband and I went on our honeymoon, I couldn't take it any more! I was still popping ibuprofen from being in so much pain! I went to a nail salon in California (where we were on our honeymoon) and she was appalled by how they had put the nails on. She said they used WAY too much adhesive and completely ruined my nails. She told me to never go back to the place that had done them originally and was actually in tears at one point when she saw how badly they had hurt and damaged my nails. It took about 6 months until all of the layers of my nails came back and I started to regain the strength in my nails. I know that I may be an exception to the rule when it comes to acrylic nails but I will NEVER chance them or this salon ever again!! Please reconsider going to any other place than here for acrylic nails, I can't say it enough!!! read more

I am on a mission to find a good, clean, nail salon in the Waukesha area, and believe me, it hasn't been easy. I have been to several that don't meet my standards because of price for the service - $55 for a basic mani and a polish change, ummm, I don't think so, or because of being a filthy rathole. So, I decided to give Tips & Toes a go. For the most part this was a really good experience. I had the hot oil mani and it was great! I have never gotten a better, or longer hand massage in my life. It was wonderful. I did get a little nip on a cuticle that drew blood, but no matter. I paid for my service and while drying, Kim, my nail tech, informed me she overcharged me $2.00 and returned it to me. I thought that was so honorable because I wouldn't have known. Honesty goes a long way! Polish selection was okay, salon was clean, staff was friendly. I am still trying other salons, but won't hesitate to go back to Tips & Toes. I couldn't be happier! I was a walk in for a full set of acrylic nails. I haven't been able to find a decent nail place since moving to Waukesha area and have finally found my go to place. One of the top and best set I have received. No pain (usually my fingers throb for a day or two) I am a bit afraid of the electric nail file from having a bad past experience and I told him that so he was very gentle and went slow. My nails are thin and so natural looking. I received many compliments from my family last nigh. Price was very reasonable at $30 for a full set. read more

Not consistent with work. Insulting man works there who thinks he is funny by calling every female "sir"...I find it annoying. Gave them a 2nd chance after having "pivots" type looking things on my polish, not smooth. 2nd chance not good either. Asked for square cut and got round. Some seem to give hand massage with full set or fill and some don't. read more

Have been here before and received good service, but went last week. I was a walk-in and they took me right away. I got a guy I had never had before (not the owner or manager that calls all women "sir"). Pedicure seemed good, then got a manicure. Half way thru manicure several women walked in with appts. Guys asks me if I was an appt, told him I was walk-in. He said I really should make an appt, because now I'm making these people wait. He hurried thru the rest of the procedure, telling waiting appt he'd be with them soon, pick out polish etc. he finished, I dried and left. After my nails really dried and I was able to touch and feel the nail I was so disappointed. I asked for square cuts but the edges could have cut paper they were so sharp. The polish job was close to cuticle on first coat and second coat didn't seem to cover entire nail. I also had a lot of top coat on my cuticles. As for pedicure....now that I write this and it looks like no polish at all. I do go barefoot, but only in house. Cuticles on feet and hands is ragged" .
