Full disclosure: This was my first manicure in 15 years, and my very first pedicure. I loved that I could just walk in, no appointment required. I started with the pedicure, and was placed in a massage chair. Minus the star for that: it was the most uncomfortable massage I have ever had from a chair, and was actually a little painful at times. The pedicure was lovely. I have extremely ticklish feet, and the tech never got me once! From there I was moved out into "general pop" and received my manicure. Again, a lovely experience. I had artificial nails put on where needed, and opted for a dip powder. Best decision ever! My nails didn't show any signs of wear for at least a month! I don't get manicures (and certainly not pedicures) on the regular, like a lot of people do, so I can't say with any certainty that I will be back, but I did enjoy my experience and would recommend. 34/2023 read more

We requested deluxe pedicures and did not receive all of the service. I even tried to tell my nail tech , a man, that he didn't take enough of the cuticle, etc., off. That process took approximately a minute per foot. After a long COVID absence I've started traveling again and can no longer get away with busted nails. I came back to LaVie because I'd had good experiences and you can book online. To be fair, I had some solid appointments and everyone that works here is really nice. I booked an appointment for 3pm today more then a week ago. On my way in, they called and said my tech was running 15 minutes behind - ok, NBD. I was plopped into a pedi chair and sat there until 3:30, the water is cold and they're still not ready for me. So I left because I do not have all night. They called me at 3:50 (almost an hour late!) to see if I still wanted to come in. No. I do not. I took pains to make an appointment and to show up on time. I understand things happen and sometimes there are delays but 30+ minutes (realistically it would have been close to 1 hour) - that's a no from me, dawg. My friend and I went in around 10am for manis and pedis. They take in walk-ins, which is convenient cause we didn't think to make an appointment. You don't have to wear a mask, they'll have you sanitize your hands and then fill out a form to see if you have any symptoms or have traveled. The pedicure was nice, my tech did a very thorough job and was nice. I asked for a french SNS manicure and I was bummed out when she told me they don't do french color dip, so she did the clear SNS french base coat dip and then did my color in gel. My tech did a very thorough job on that too. I had to rush her though in order to be able to get to my 12:30pm appointment on time. In doing so, the french tips have slight brush marks on the side. I believe if I didn't have to rush she would've done it without those marks. I do like the soft almond shape she did. Under different circumstances, I can see myself liking this place, but because it took longer than expected and I was getting anxious about being late that turned my experience a little negative. I typically always come here for pedicures and never have any issues. I always book the Deluxe and get gel so $60 for the service. Today I came in for my appointment at 1:30 and was pretty quickly sat in the pedicure chair, where I then sat for an additional 30 minutes without the pedicure starting. When the nail technician finally came over he completely rushed through the "pedicure" and didn't even exfoliate the bottom of my feet. Instead he put lotion on my legs and feet and genuinely felt that was acceptable. I book the deluxe for the paraffin treatment but it also comes with the exfoliating scrub, essential oils, soak and the essential oil lotion and is a 50 minute process. Instead he flew through it and was "done" in 15. Even the regular pedicures are listed as 45 minutes worth of service. It's unfortunate, but I will obviously not be returning. A completely ridiculous experience. read more

I opted for dipped manicure and shellac pedicure. The man who did my manicure didn't speak much english, it was difficult to tell him what I wanted, so I showed him a pic, "i no do that". Pedicure appointment. Got me right in. Staff Pushed hard to get the most pampering pedicure. I specifically asked if there was more foot massage and I would get the upgrade (at nearly double the cost) if foot massage was good. Oh yes they assured me it would be. Holy Cow! This is what a nail salon should be. I was in WI for a show and needed my nails done ASAP. I loved the booking online, they adhere to strict Covid guidelines, and were very efficient. The employees were so nice and you can tell they actually appreciate your business. It was a nice change from other salons who make you feel like you're bothering them, rush you, or constantly try to up-sell you. They really do care about what the customer wants and deliver. First of all, I made an appointment online for a gel full set with shellac polish, but the man doing my manicure absolutely used acrylic yet still charged me for a gel full set. Second, the shaping and polish job was awful. Several of my nails look crooked and are very uneven. The man put globs of polish on my nails and the result ended up looking very, very bumpy and the bottom of the nail was noticeably jagged. I am extremely embarrassed and am counting down the days until I can get a full elsewher I was extremely disappointed in my results here and will not be back. I called ahead to see if they had time to squeeze me in for a mani/pedi and they said no problem to come on in and even took my name down. When I arrived I was pretty rushed into the chair and they started filing my nails and barely let my feet soak at all before getting down to work. I'm not gonna lie, I was fine with the multi tasking and just really needed a clean up before attending a weekend wedding. I knew things we're heading down hill when the nail tech didn't stop the massage chair and began painting my nails while standing and leaning over my feet in between the coats that she was putting on my toes. My cuticles were not properly trimmed, the polish was slathered on sloppily and then she ran off to attend to a bridal party that had arrived and clearly had an appointment. I was upset! I got up and asked to check out and I told her that I was really unhappy and she kept insisting to let her clean it up. Not to be a jerk- but this was a botched job and they really skipped some steps. It needed to be redone. I said no but I showed it all to her and told her I would pay something since scrubbed my feet (not well but still- that's not a pleasant job). - $40! TERRIBLE! Shame on you. My friend and I came to this appointment around 10am and didn't get done till around 12:10. We were getting mani's and pedi's and did not anticipate that it would take that long, and we had to be somewhere at 12:30. But, overall I think the tech took her time shaping my nails and I do think she did a great job on the shape. I wanted them shorter than usual this time so they did just that. They did switch techs in the middle of my appointment. So after the shaping a new tech came in to paint. I initially wanted French tips but I just didn't like the way it came out. He painted the tips of my right hand and before I cured it I said I did not like it so they took off the polish. I asked for a light purple and picked one out but the color was nothing like what it appeared on their display so I requested a different color. I went to La Vie and asked to have an acrylic fill. Even thought I had an appointment they said it would be 45 minutes but I could get a dip. My nails were in really good shape and long prior to the technician soaking them for 25 + minutes as she walked away to the back room. By the time she came back the nail bed was so thin she had to cut them down to the tip. As the technician walked away for endless amounts of time she then applied the wrong dip color. When she was finished she just walked in the back and said nothing. My nails look horrible. I will NEVER go back to La Vie. She charged $57 to ruin my nails. read more

I usually splurge for the La Vie pedicure which includes an extended massage and hot stone and I have found Dom (technician) is the great at this. Heard about this place from a friend. Right off the bat, I liked that you can make appointments online. Anything to make life easier and avoid a line is a smart business move. When I arrived for my appointment there was a line of other people waiting. I was slightly worried about them prioritizing walk-ins, but that was a baseless concern. As soon as I checked in, they started setting up a spot for my manicure. They had SO MANY nail color options for gel, which is always appreciated. Unfortunately, I picked my color and it was unavailable. So he grabbed the other options and helped me come up with a similar color (the benefits of having multiple brands). From there, it was all pretty efficient. Not a lot of small talk from the man doing my nails, but that's not always necessary in my opinion. He did a nice job with the brief hand massage. All in all, the attention to detail was great. I did end up having to come back because several of my nails started to lift off three days after. When I came in, they re-did it no questions asked. Okay BY FAR best customer service ever at a nail salon. There was a wedding party so they were PACKED. (Which is good btw). I signed in, left my phone number, and when my chair was ready they called me and I walked right to my chair! The receptionist girl (forgot her name ) was super helpful and accommodating. She helped me pick a color for toes and hands and had a great attitude! My nail tech Van who did my toes was very nice and did a great job. The massage was not the best I ever had, but it was good. Then the nail tech Tom who did my full set and gels on my hands was very gentle but quick! You can tell by the before and after picture I needed his handy work! Booked a pedicure later that day for my boyfriend :) I will be back, def found go to place. FYI - I ordered the 3rd pedicure package, plus design for $50 Full sets w/gels on my hands for $45. I really don't like this place. I came here with my Mom because it had good reviews and it did the dip nails. My Mom's pedi was good but my dip nails were awful. Not only did the guy cut me - not once, not twice but THREE times - they are already chipping and it's been a week. Normally my nails with dip last for over a month! I'm really really disappointed. First visit and I will not be returning. My shellac manicure looks good but the lady cut my cuticle and it bled. Ouch! My pedicure was the worst one I have had. It was so extremely rushed and the polish job looks like it was done by a 10 year old. Tried to tell her I wanted to wait for my girlfriend to show up, but she insisted on getting started even though I had an appointment for a later time. The entire salon just seems to not care much about the client but more about how quickly they can get their clients in and out the door. my shellac lasted only a good 25 mins and my pedicure was about 20 mins only. The also resuse the same file for multiple clients, GROSS and unsanitary. I may be from out of town, but I do visit often. My next service will be some place else. read more

I have come here several times now since moving to the area and I have been impressed every time! They are very conscious of appointment and wait times and do their best to take care of you if your services are affected. I visited today amongst the COVID restrictions and must say, I felt very safe. They had many measures in place such as asking customers to sanitize upon entering, performing questionnaire and temperature screening, and masks by both employees and customers, which are by appointment only. At the stations they had large shields to protect each person with only a space open to put your hands through to do the services. I am very happy with my nails and he had excellent attention to detail, my appointment was also done within a timely manner. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this nail salon! read more

It's all in the little things. This cozy salon is my new it spot. My friend and I started a new tradition to get each other pedis for our birthdays, and it all started here, today was our second year! I made two appointments online (one for each of us) which was super convenient. I called to give them a heads up it was my friend's birthday. I ended up calling them again like 5min before my app to let them know there was an accident, so I will be 20min late. They were wishing me safe travels and no worries. And they greeted us with such warmth and bday wishes! Walk-ins are totally welcome. The deluxe pedi is a treat, and treatment! With hot towels, a mask and massage. Yup, luxury. It was like almost closing time when we were getting our toes painted, still with a dip mani yet to start. So we offered to come back another day. And they were so accommodating and kind! No worries no worries they'll do the dip tonight. That to me was so so so kind to stay after hours for us. We weren't the only ones around (especially for being a Tuesday night). Dip is new to me and I'm loving it more and more. La Vie does the whole dip then file then massage (I've gotten dip nails at only one other place and they didn't give me a massage, so this was a nice surprise). And then last minute she took a closer look at my hands to ensure everything is cleaned up. Attention to detail and great personalities from each person working makes me feel like I found my place. I love this nail salon! I am from California and haven't felt like I found a really good nail salon that can do beautiful full sets. However, this place is gorgeous, professional, and Stephanie does amazing nails. I asked her for red stiletto nails for Christmas and they are gorgeous. When I get long nails I always care a lot about the shape and keeping the edges crisp. Stephanie took her time making each nail perfectly shaped.
