Epic takes the extra time to soak them off and gently remove the old gel vs grinding them to oblivion. All tools used are sterilized and unopened until ready for use. She was speaking really loud for a good ten minutes. I suppose it's not the spa's fault but it really dampened the ambience. Maybe they could post a sign saying please refrain from speaking on the phone for the relaxation of other patrons. They had me move seats multiple times and had different nail techs come by to ask what color I was doing. My manicure started when my mom's was almost over. When my nail tech came over, she had a packet that was not sealed of nail tools and when she took them out, she sprayed them all with alcohol. The files that were used during my manicure were all clearly reused. My manicure began with removing my old gel and the nail tech over filed a few of my nails with the drill. When she started shaping my nails, she took them from a rounded/almond shape to a square without asking what shape I wanted. I had to ask twice for them to be round and they still came out as a rounded square shape. The edges of my nails are also not smooth. They are jagged and uneven. When the tech started putting the new gel on, she had me look at 2 colors and when I touched the bottles, they were sticky and left a residue on my hands. The counter was bare during the painting and it was also sticky. My tech seemed to be rushing through painting my nails. They came out barely covered and you can see my nail through the gel. Not all of my nails are fully covered. Overall, I would not recommend this nail spa at all.

I was very impressed at the fact that she didn't try to rip my nails off instead she soaked my nails and little by little she drilled them off. When that was done she put the new set on and we got to the nail polish portion. I showed her a picture in my phone and asked her if she was able to duplicate it. She said yes. I honestly was shocked. The last place I went to said that they could not do anything they said they only did nail polish no designs. The girl that was doing my nails told me that she could do any design rhinestones it didn't matter what it was bring a picture in and she can do it. I was so impressed because I have so many pictures in my phone that I have always wanted on my nails. So she put a design on my nails with foils. I absolutely love them! She did an amazing job. I went with a friend, and she called to book the appointment weeks ago, with specific technicians. We get to the salon and I let them know I changed my mind and want gel now, not acrylics. A few moments after we walk in a woman comes in and says she has an appointment with one of our technicians. They let her know they overbooked and wouldn't be able to service her. The woman told the technicians that she had called a couple days before and scheduled, and they must've messed it up. Then the technician who's overbooked comes over and tells us we're going to switch so she can do the other woman's nails. To me, as a business, this is bad practice, you shouldn't put your customers in a position like this. I understand that mistakes happen, but they should've honored the people that made the appointment first. In hindsight, I should've advocated for myself better, but I don't think businesses should be putting their clients in this position. They had us sit down because they weren't ready, and we had to wait an additional 15 minutes. At that point I was on a time crunch, and didn't have time to go anywhere else. The technician who did my nails was very upset that I wasn't doing acrylics anymore, and asked me three or four times if I was sure. I didn't realize it at the time, but she cut my cuticle open, and didn't say anything about it. I got home and my finger was in a lot of pain. Bad communication and honoring clients who booked after your other ones is a no for me.

I don't usually do such extravagant things like get my nails done every 2-3 weeks, but my cuticles were bleeding. Washing my hands like I have to in the hospital was causing my nails to split down into the quick. Everyday my hands were bleeding.
