Amazing customer service started from the first call on the phone, to taking our car in to be repaired and leaving with our car after it got fixed. We have a very good experience with this shop from the moment we walked in to the day we picked up our repaired car. They have an exceptional customer service and the whole staff is very professional. We used the shop thru a commendation of our car insurance-Geico adjuster. I believed they are partners which made the whole repair process easier. We were seen on our appointment time. The adjuster and the manager of the shop discussed to my husband the entire process. We were out of their office in less than half hour. An arranged car rental was waiting for us outside and a good feeling that they will be able to finish the job in less than a week as promised. Our car needed a rear bumper replacement and a polishing of the left side area above the fenders. My husband received two updates during the waiting period. True to their word, the car was ready for pick up even 2 days ahead as promised. We were not disappointed with their job. The car looked new again. I was the unfortunate victim of a three-way collission with me being in the first vehicle. This was my first time being in an accident..ever, so the whole process of getting my car repaired was very new to me. My story begins with searching for a certified Infiniti body shop and Tip Top Auto Body came up as rhe closest result. As it turns out my insurance company is also partnered up with these guys, which was a relief! I brought my car in on Monday August 27th and Lenny and the Geico adjusters walked me around my car, took pictures, and marked the spots where there was damage. Thankfully it wasn't brutal, but my front grille was shattered. a slight dent was visible next to the left headlight, and the front tow hook plate was broken. The rear bumper had an imprint of the license plate holder from the car behind me as well as hairline cracks from the force of the impact. Lenny and his crew advised me that there was a high possibility that plastic and other components may have been damaged behind the front and rear bumpers, surely enough they were right. I actually just went to pick up my car around an hour ago from when this review was made and Lenny took me to my car and the FIRST thing I noticed was that the curb rash that I bought the car with..was gone. Lenny and his team went the extra mile to fix this for me and they did not charge me extra on my deductible! I left that shop with the biggest smile on my face. Went there to receive an estimate to fixing 2 doors on my automobile. Received an estimate. Approved and brought the car in, only to hear back several hours later, that the estimate was way too low and that they needed to increase the estimate by almost 50%... A scam of a body shop and shame on GEICO for affiliating itself with such a scam. Who does that? Can you walk into home depot and they give you a price, then when it is delivered, tell you that they charged you too little and needed to charge you almost 50% more... I had the displeasure of going to Tip-Top Auto Body twice during the last two years. My daughter's 2012 Altima had been hit in a parking lot and the side panel, bumper, and passenger side door needed to be repaired and finished Last week we had a minor fender bender on our 2018 Honda CRV which required a bumper replacement and realignment of the navigation system. The displeasure were the accidents but fortunately Lenny and his team at Tip Top made it an easy and pleasurable experience. The work was done professionally they did an excellent job! Lenny and his staff are great and treated me with respect and making sure I was happy with the job was his priority. If I could give zero stars for my experience today I would.... I was due to drop off my car at 8am today and received a call at 7:53am from Enterprise stating that they had no reservation for me. I called them back and told them I thought the auto body shop handled and would call them. I called Tip Top asking initially what the issue was and was told by a receptionist (i did not get her name) who answered the phone that it's not the auto body shops responsibility to set up rental cars and it was mine. I said this was never said to me. The only thing said to me was I was asked if I need one and the receptionist who was there when I brought my car in on July 11th said okay we will set it up and it will be here when you drop the car off. Never at any time was I told that I needed to call State Farm and set it up or I would have done so to avoid this mess. I then called State Farm and set up a reservation. Afterwards I called Tip Top back and asked when I could reschedule. During this call I was extremely frustrated and my tone was not nice. I can say exactly the same for the receptionist who answered the phone who spoke just as rudely back to me telling me things such as "it's too early to be screaming like this, it's not my fault you got into an accident and why would you bring it here if your so unhappy". I never complained I got into an accident who your staff ignorantly blamed me for without knowing the facts that the other driver was 100% at fault. My issue was the lack of communication about the rental car. This is absolutely despicable to speak a second time customer like this and the body shop was in the wrong. I as the customer was right in the bad communication about the rental car. She then told me August 1st would be the next available date. I told her then I won't be using Tip Top. Do not bring your car here unless you love bad communication and attitude from the front desk reception. This place also likes to accuse people of being culturally insensitive when trying to identify who the employee was who answered the phone "tip top auto body" without giving her name. The price that was given to me beat everyone on the strip. Lenny made me feel comfortable and didn't try to over sell me on the job. The service I received was excellent. THE GOOD: They did a great job taking my car and giving me a work up, then returning my car having done a good job. THE UGLY: Here's why I gave it one star: they stole my sunglasses. Like literally stole my sunglasses. They put a decoy cheaper pair in the area where the good ones were. Now, of course you remove your valuables when you drop your car off with these grease jockeys and even sign off releasing liability however I did not expect them to steal my 4 year old sunglasses right out of the holder. They are very good at smiling in your face and then acting like common thugs in the garage rummaging through your stuff. I lost all respect for this establishment. Other things worthy of the one star: the Geico adjuster on the property curses during his conversations with co-workers in front of customers complaining about his day. Not a good look when you're in someone else's space. The onsite enterprise part of the transaction was fine but the cars are junk. Even the new ones. read more

I had a great experience with this body shop. Lenny was very helpful, thorough, professional and answered all of my questions. I dropped my car off on Tuesday and received it back the following Tuesday. I brought it in with practically the entire back driver's side door smashed in and picked it up with it looking brand spanking new! Lenny even gave me a bottle of touch up in case I get scratches in the future! I would have had my car back earlier, but when Lenny conducted his Quality Assurance check, he noticed an area that had been missed. Most other auto body shops would have just released the car to me, but Lenny would not do so until the job was done right! To my surprise, when I came to pick up my car, it had been thoroughly washed and detailed. But for my experience with Enterprise, I would have given Tip Top 5 stars. I assumed that I would not receive a rental that was exactly like my car, but I was unpleasantly surprised when I was given a Corolla with a check engine light on and a strong burning smell whenever the car was driven above 10mph. I returned the Corolla and was given a 2014 Corolla with a missing hubcap. Luckily I only had to have both cars for just about a week. I hope I don't need body work in the near future, but if I do, I'll definitely be back to Tip Top. read more

One of the great things about this place is that they have a Geico agent and Enterprise on site. The process to get my car to the workshop was fairly simple. I set up an appointment with them through the geico app, get there, geico agent inspects the damage, which in my case, was a slight dent, then you leave your car keys, choose a rental and kthnxbye. Only reason, I am giving it a 3 stars is because they took too long to fix a small dent. It took approximately 3 weeks for me to get my car back. I am happy with the results but felt the service could have been a bit quicker. If I did not have car rental insurance I would not have been very happy paying for a rental car everyday out of pocket for their slow service. But in the end, dent's fixed, car is shiny and am happy. read more

so my car was towed in after an accident in floral park. the police officer suggested them,great I thought,I didn't know any better. I went the next day to get some stuff our of my car and ask some questions. they seemed very nice. the problems started 3 days later when I was called to get my car out telling me that the insurance company could not check my car at there lot. I told them the insurance would pay for the storage and tow once it was checked. I was told that's not there policy. I have never heard of any tow yard where the insurance company can't come and Inspect the car. but fine the insurance paid and had the car towed to my house so it can be inspected. my car was released to the tow driver. when the driver got to my place he asked me for the keys so he could unlock the steering wheel. tip top never gave him. my keys. when I called them to find out why, first I was told they had no keys, I told them bull shit! I was then told they would ask the manager to call me back. he called me and said "oh, they where locked in the safe.sorry" like it was no big deal. I then had to go and pick up my keys. definitely not a place I would ever go back to!! I want my car fixed even if the Insurance totals my car out , but this place WILL NOT get my money. I will find some place that works with the insurance company and me!! read more

STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY. Consider yourself warned! This terrible experience with Tip Top began when I received a call the Wednesday before Thanksgiving from Leah (what a disaster) to retrieve my belongings from the car as the insurance directed them to tow it away (insurance totaled the car). I said, wait hold on, I did not settle with them, I own that car (which is still driveable), the insurance can't send it anywhere. I asked, could they keep the car until Monday or Tuesday so that I can sort this out? It is a holiday and I don't believe I can resolve before then. She said OK! She agreed. My insurance rep also sent me an email that she told the shop to keep until Monday. My husband calls in Friday to go in to the shop and they say they've sent my car to salvage. What?!? I called and got Leah (did I mention a disaster?) and said I spoke to you on Wednesday and you said that you would keep until Monday. She then denies agreeing to that and says well the insurance said to send it to salvage, so they did. I told her they do not own the car, I do, I have title, we have not settled, I'm the customer. She (and the shop) could care less. I asked her where my car was and she said they don't know to talk to insurance, which was not open. So they SENT MY CAR TO SALVAGE and did not know or care to where they sent it? After her being of no help, I asked to speak to the supervisor and she said he couldn't because he was working on a car. I knew she hadn't escalated to him. Now this is where it gets even more interesting, Ravi the shop manager, tried to shoo me away and told me I needed to go to the car myself. I told him I refused given they did not even notify me of the move, I wasn't even given the opportunity to clear my car and they don't even know where it is--where am I supposed to go?! TIP TOP'S MANAGER DOES NOT EVEN KNOW THE LOCATION OF HIS CUSTOMER'S CAR! On top of it, he did not even bother to find out where it was. So, I told him I'm not going anywhere (I couldn't, no one knew where my car was), I came down here so you could do something to fix this problem you created. Now THE MOST SEXIST exchange in a business setting I have ever seen, he says, "I am not your husband, I am not your child. You don't demand things of me. I'm done with you." Then he leaves the shop. So after illegally sending my car to salvage he denies me service because I am a woman! I asked to speak to the owner and the entire shop, who witnessed this comedic display of Ravi pounding his meek chest, said well we'll tell him and he'll reach out to you if he wants. What? You send my car to you don't know where, your shop manager refuses to respond to me and THE OWNER MAY OR MAY NOT CARE?? I have yet to hear back, so at best I can surmise is the owner does not know this transpired or does not care--either way, you as a customer should stay away. It is Tip Top's stance, as a company, that THEY WORK FOR THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND NOT THE CUSTOMER that brought in the car. Now my insurance company has admitted that they sent the car to salvage in error. If Tip Top's stance was to service their customers and not the insurance company, they would have listened to me the customer regarding the situation and this could have been avoided. They claim that I signed away my rights in paperwork with them, and when I requested such paperwork, they lost the file? I reviewed the paperwork after and no, Tip Top, I did not sign away anything. Additionally, once the shop creates an issue, YOU CAN BE DENIED SERVICE WITHOUT ANY ACCOUNTABILITY OR RECOURSE. Definitely if you are a woman stay away from the shop, as the shop manager Ravi is incredibly sexist and cannot handle interacting with a woman in a professional capacity (only if you are his wife or his mother can he apparently respond). Moreover, anyone can be denied service apparently if Ravi feels his fragile male ego impugned in anyway (which is apparently easy to do). Lenny is the only decent person here. He witnessed this crazy display and tried to help, away from the rest of the shop. Also, to boot, the shop lost my tags while the car was in their possession. Of course, they were of no help in this regard either. Do yourself a favor and stay away! Go to any of the other several 4 and 5 star rated shops in the area. No option of zero stars here. I filed a complaint with my insurance company about their business practices, since management here is the problem. Good luck out there! read more

I'm talking about complete engine failures in the middle of busy intersections one day after picking the car up from the shop on multiple occasions. Was involved in a crash and needed a new passenger side door, my passenger front fender and rear quarter panel needed to be fixed. Decided to go to tip top auto since the insurance company worked with them. Biggest mistake ever. Since my car was going to be at their shop getting the accident fixed, I figured that since I wanted some other panels repainted on my car eventually, I might as well do it now and at the same time. (payment out of my own pocket) Took these guys ONE MONTH to fix the accident. (Entire passenger side) You can repaint the entire car in less than a month. Not only did it take them a month just to fix the passenger side accident, they completely disregarded the extra work I wanted done out of my own pocket. Here's the best part. I get a text saying that my car is done, go there and find out they didn't do any of the extra work I wanted done. Decided to open my trunk and Inspect, they completely took apart my trunk cargo net and subwoofer that I have in my truck and never put anything back. Everything was loose and the clip that held my cargo net was put in the wrong place. I had to take everything apart and fix everything myself. The screws that held my subwoofer to the car were missing and I had to ask the shop for screws back. I fixed everything in my truck myself which was left a disaster. Another thing these guys did was that they took apart my front bumper side marker light and didn't install it back properly. The light bulb and wire were behind the bumper and not put back to where it was suppose to be. Once again I had to fix this myself. I would of gave this place one star, but their body work was actually satisfactory. Will never use these guys again. With the amount of money this place charged the insurance company, I should not have had to fix things myself. Shame read more

Do yourself a favor and just go to any other body shop in new hyde park. GEICO recommended it as their adjuster is there. My car was supposed to be ready on a Monday, it was ready until Friday of that week and when I went to pick it up the REAL fun started! As I was looking over the repairs the first thing I saw on my front bumper was a big glob of compound. Ok. But then I notice my front number was on crooked, the grill wasn't on right, and because of that the number was obviously not sitting flush with the headlight housings on both the left and right sides. I told them it wasn't right, it's not even close to looking symmetrical and the shop manager Lenny still had to call me back to ask what was wrong and why I didn't pick up my car. If he had just looked at the repairs his question wouldve been answered. From a customer service perspective they are really on the ball. The inside office staff is super friendly and have great peoples skills. However, the work performed is very poor. I had my front bumper and right fender replaced. The work was originally done in 4 days but when I got home, i noticed they painted over the black rubber and did not clean the paint off the interior door at all. I took the car back on a Saturday and called the following Wednesday to follow up. The part was never ordered so I had to wait another week. I returned on the saturday and they fixed the part on the mirror, fixed my fender so it lined up correctly. I also noticed the hood was not done correctly which they corrected the same day. The interior of the driver side was returned filthy! I just noticed today that they did not fix the interior aspect of the mirror. I thought it would be convenient because of the "one stop shop aspect" Geico, Enterprise, body shop. BIG MISTAKE. The geico rep is a pure salesman, who bragged about being a "concierge service" who would inspect the car. He didn't inspect anything. Its really shame because the staff is so friendly but they cannot back up what they sell. read more
