Breakfast is delicious. Staff was nice and attentive. I tried the home sausage omelette and it was huge and just full of yummy toppings. Home fries are crispy on the outside and soft inside. Their coffee taste so good. The chorizo omelette is very taste. Their breakfast burritos are huge like huge and just so delicious and filling. Definitely a great breakfast spot. It has some outdoor seating as well as a lot of indoor seating. Location is cleaned and organized.

A great spot for a comfort meal. Came here with my mom for breakfast and really enjoyed everything; from the food to the experience. The restaurant is of good size and has plenty of tables plus a bar you can sit at as well. Their coffee is really good and served in mugs that are quite big which is nice. They have a lot of options on their menu but I went with a traditional breakfast plate that comes with two eggs, sausage or bacon (I chose bacon), house potatoes and toast (I ordered an English muffin) other plates come with different variations of this. My mom got something similar but with bacon instead of sausage and pancakes instead of potatoes. The food came out really quick and was delicious! They have plenty of condiments already at the table for you to use. Or waiter was friendly and I never saw the bottom of the my coffee mug! The pancakes are oh so fluffy and delicious by the way! I'm excited to goa and try their lunch menu. They also have beer and wine as well to enjoy later on in the day.

Glad that I didn't let the bland front entrance deter me from trying Tio's Cafe. Once inside, a warm, clean environment waited for us. Dear Hubby told me that he'd stopped in a couple of times when he had been in the area, but our recent visit was my first time. It's wider and deeper inside than I expected. It boasts a diner-style counter, which is convenient for those dining alone. A number of comfortable booth-style tables fill most of the dining room. Several TVs also line the walls on two sides, along with vintage-look canvas photos to add to the ambiance. There's not a true theme to the decor, but it provides a low-key comfortable atmosphere. It appears spotlessly clean. Our server was prompt, helpful, and kept checking on us. Five stars for him! I knocked off a star as the food was on the bland side. I guess it's not the right season of the year for flavorful, juicy tomatoes. The "T" in my BLT was not memorable, which brought down the whole sandwich. Bacon was well-prepared and generous. The fries were hot but also bland. I'd had better ones recently at Arby's, of all places. I often sub for fries, but I was in the mood to order them, and Tio's didn't quite hit the spot. They did have other options, including onion rings, sweet potato fries, side salad, cottage cheese, etc. Their menu is quite extensive, and they serve breakfast all day, except for waffles. We will definitely return to try other items that vary from their fitness selections to sandwiches / burgers, and comfort-food choices. When we first arrived just after 5:00, we almost had the place to ourselves, but by the time we were finishing, the interior was filling in nicely. Happy to support a local indy restaurant!

The food here is excellent. The help is quick, efficient and very helpful. There breakfast's are huge and delicious. You won't be sorry to go there. I highly recommend it and have been going there every Sunday for a year and a half. My wife loves it also! You'll be happy you tried it!! read more

Well my husband thinks their biscuits and gravy are great... went here today!!! Lots of places to sit servers walked by several times took peoples orders that came after us no drinks nothing sat for 15 minutes not one person said anything.... Watched another couple leave that was there before us.... Only one who seemed to care was the bus boy... waiter with red hair looked at us several times but never asked if we needed anything.... If you have nothing but time to sit around and wait then this is your place.... Doesn't matter how good your food might be .... Service is the worst and yes there was enough staff .... As we walked out another waitress was going to sit a party of 6 LOL read more

I ordered the eggs Benedict, one egg was cooked right the other over cooked. The sauce tasted a little weird. My girlfriend ordered the Belgian waffle which had a weird taste too. The staff didn't seem to care about us or pay attention. I asked for a water that never came. Ferretiz is much better for breakfast I will not be coming here again. read more

Tio's Cafe has a great selection of breakfast, brunch and dinner options! I ordered their "Lumber Jack" and wasn't disappointed. The service was outstanding and were very accommodating! We really wanted to eat outside (as they do have some tables in front) and even though they preferred us inside, they were willing to work it out. Everything we ordered was great (omelet with florentine, French toast, loks and bagels, pancakes, etc)! Defintley will be back for more! Muchas gracias Tio! read more

Service was good, Eva was a sweetheart. The atmosphere could use some work but it is clean and no one is leaning, they are cleaning which is what you expect when it's slow. Food came out in a timely manner and it was good. Chilaquiles looked gross but tasted delicious. The green omelette was boring but healthy, the grits were good and the homemade blueberry muffin delicious. Overall we will eat here again. read more

We've become regulars at this unassuming cafe. We're here about once a week for dinner, but we've also enjoyed breakfast and lunch here. It is a friendly feeling and understated restaurant. The booths are comfortable, the decor is tasteful but minimal, and the entire restaurant is clean and tidy. The crew here has always been welcoming as well as kind and they make sure that your order comes out to your table correct and fast. Our table is always promptly cleared and drinks are refilled without having to ask. The food here is consistent and the meals are created with great care. My husband's favorite is the fried chicken, and mine is almost anything on the breakfast menu. I've got to say that the fact that they serve breakfast all day makes me happy. Sometimes French toast for dinner can turn an iffy day right around. The crew here does a wonderful job of caring for their guests, and you do feel like a welcome guest when dining there, not a customer. Stop by and enjoy the hospitality of this friendly cafe. read more

I love this place. I can honestly say I haven't seen a restaurant with such hard workers. They are constantly coming around to refill water or coffee. Food comes out fast and hot. It's very busy on the weekends but I love the hustle that this place puts in. read more

Used to go to the Chatsworth location for years. Loved it. Moved to Simi and right after I moved in, they opened Tio's with the same great menu and food. I go nearly every weekend and get the chicken skillet or steak torta. They have quick service, they remember who you are and what you drink, the prices are fair and food is well prepared. Try it you will like it. read more

Really happy with this place. Went for breakfast with my boyfriend; I got a scramble with spicy sausage, spinach, bell peppers, cheese and added mushrooms. It was hot and flavorful. My boyfriend got a basic breakfast of 2 hotcakes, bacon and eggs. The hotcakes were decent, better than other places, but still had a very slightly chewy texture (I hate when restaurants over mix pancake batter, pancakes are not supposed to have any chewiness). Service was fairly on top of it, especially considering who I heard just recently bought the place (awful slow customer service at those restaurants) and we only had to ask for a refill once. The only thing I really disliked was the coffee. It tasted/smelled so bitter and burnt, it was mind blowing. We went Sunday morning at about 10. How...with how many people are coming and going on a weekend morning...do you burn coffee? read more

Great food. The apricot jam is heaven. Seriously they need to figure out how to sell that stuff because I'd buy it!!! I had the huevos rancheros and it was good! The waiter let me bring in my still unfinished coffee which was nice. Think that it was a one time thing and I ordered coffee as well afterwards. Great place!! read more

Cannot explain how excited I am to see a new, packed mom and pop breakfast/lunch shop open in the food wasteland of Simi chains. The cafe is in the prior Simi4Deli location, signage could be a klittle more prominent, but really I'm sure that will come. Food portions are beyond generous, recipes are tasty, service is spot on and I loved my pan san breakfast. Please continue to support this awesome establishment. Did I mention they make their own jams and salsas? Amazing! read more

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet!. This is my go to breakfast spot when friends are visiting from out of town. One of those menus that is a little too long, so go back to last page for Specials. The Artichoke Scramble and Huevos Rancheros are both orders I return to often. Also weekday specials worth checking out. So basically a 4.5 except some items inconsistent due to lengthy menu. read more

I've been to Tio's twice since moving to Simi Valley in March. It's close, service is friendly and the food is tasty! It's gets pretty busy on the weekends but I think it's worth sticking around for and there's plenty of parking. The foods: chicken fried steak and eggs with grits, ABC omelette with home fries and toast. The verdict: I can't believe we ate it all (and more please). Bonus point: homemade jams/jellies, piping hot coffee The last time I was here I got the Linguica breakfast and was very satisfied with my choice, today was the same. Long story short, if you're looking for some tasty food this would be a sure bet. read more

She was constantly asking the staff whose drink was their's and at one point proceeded to say loud enough that there would be no more drinks on the house for the staff. She kept asking people whose stuff was what. It's very unprofessional for her to be doing so in front of all of the patrons eating. Pull your staff to the back. Have a conversation back in the back. It makes me uncomfortable for the employees. It makes it hard to enjoy the ambiance because I feel for your employees. I'm amazed that no one has quit working there because of this. Be kind to your team lift them up so they can continue to help you be successful. Treat your employees how you'd want them to treat your customers. Because if you do that they will follow and go above and beyond for you. You may have been running your business this way forever. It doesn't mean you can't make some small changes to be better for your team. To all the Beeps employees please don't let her get you down. You all are wonderful and kind. The lox platter which comes with a good amount of salmon and all the trimmings. And whatever bagel you like. The veggie omelette was great as well and served with potatoes and toast. Lastly the French toast meal with added bacon. Of course if there's tater tots, that's alway a must. The food is alway consistent and good. Simple comfort breakfast dishes that's is always a good idea. A side of sausage and pancakes was had. It was a slight wait for food which understandable as it could have been during the rush hour. What a friendly easy going helpful person she was, answering questions that we had and getting answers for the questions she didn't have. Very attentive checking on us numerous times. We have dined here before and the fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection, Oysters are always good and the cocktails always spot on and refreshing. My family and I will definitely keep coming here for food.

Brunch Steak and Eggs: A Solid Choice I recently indulged in a steak and eggs brunch, and overall, it was a satisfying experience. The steak, cooked to a perfect medium, was tender and well-seasoned. It wasn't the absolute best steak I've ever had, but for a brunch dish, it definitely exceeded expectations. The eggs were cooked exactly to my liking - up with runny yolks, perfect for dipping the steak and toast. The accompanying sides were simple but effective. The toast was nicely buttered and the small side of potatoes were crispy and flavorful. I been here a couple of times. And service was ok but this last time service was terrible. I noticed that when they're slow the service get better but when they're busy service is really bad.
