This is a new restaurant in our area I saw something about it in the Sun Sentinel so we decided to give it a try I love trying new restaurant I was pleasantly surprised this was a very good well run with very competent staff in the restaurant business ! we had fish and shrimp combo came with french fries and coleslaw. Very good. I had a small house salad, which was delicious comes with cranberries and almonds. also, we had a Caesar salad, which was also very Good the salmon simply grilled and it comes with one side I chose the coleslaw, which I really enjoyed. and for dessert we had the carrot cake, which was made in house very nice large piece the four of us split the serval Nicholas excellent he couldn't have been nicer. He was helpful he was informed he's the type of server that you want to serve you, and make the evening go well the acoustics are not great so very loud unfortunately it's hard to really talk. It has tablecloth very nicely appointed room, It has a bar with live music in it. ( which made it quite loud, even in the dining area ) They do have a few outdoor tables and parking area so you can park lots of spaces with other stores surrounding the restaurant Moderate to expensive large portions, even without much advertisement the place was very crowded so if you're thinking of trying it, which I highly recommend make sure that you make reservations, they're not on any of the open tables or rest as of yet so you must call directly for reservations read more

This was our first time and we enjoyed the ultimate experience, great food, great service and the feeling you were welcomed into someone's home. A motto presented on their website by Chef/Owner Joe "Doing for guests is our greatest reward. Let us cook for you." This was truly representative of the experience. It felt familiar as if we had been there many times. The staff were all personable and attentive and Joe came by and introduced himself. We had crab cakes and the whole Snapper that were delicious and out of this world. LOVED the Tiramisu and carrot cake. Check out that menu! We are trying the sushi next time. Great job everyone at Tin Fish! read more

This place has potential, but they need to work on a couple things in order to get better reviews Server was very nice professional and very welcoming. The restaurant as a whole is very loud but I just took the perspective that that's the experience they want to give. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not. Very busy please service is a bit slow. Maybe they need more servers or less tables for better experience. The food has potential shrimp Cocktail was a bit chewy just didn't taste fresh . The snapper seem to be a bit overcooked and a bit under salt. Maybe it's just my preference. The old-fashioned Was a seven out of 10. I'll definitely order it next time my wife had what the fargona or something that . Tequila drink was amazing The cornbread was amazing. I'll definitely come back just for an old-fashioned and the cornbread. I hope you guys stay open. We need something like this in the neighborhood. read more

Good fish, but band playing so loud it was impossible to have a conversation. Prices high with everything extra, even bread, plus 3% credit card fee which they could have bundled in with the food but they decided to do both. Petty. read more

Yea! Tin Fish Boca Raton is now open! We have been making the long trek to Tin Fish Sunrise for years. This new location eliminates the long drive for us. Stopped for an early lunch Friday 08-Mar-2024. The items we normally eat in Sunrise were the same high quality expertly prepared food we enjoy. The fish sandwich is great. The lobster bisque, while a bit pricey, has a significant amount of sweet lobster meat - it is worth the price Best lobster bisque i have ever had. Their tacos are not on the Boca menu. Their fish and slaw is surprisingly good dish. Excellent service, our server, Rick, was pleasant and attentive. read more

Great new West BOCA/Delray addition. Cocktails were excellent, you know they take pride in their drinks when they make their own sour mix! Menu was perfect depending on your mood and appetite you can find fresh sushi, great soups, delicious fresh fish, handhelds, burgers and great sides and apps! We ate at a bar top, bar was packed and restaurant was humming. Looking forward to going back and listening to some music and enjoying some other menu options . Great food and service very good Atmosphere fantastic very nice place Went to a different location and was very happy to see it open again near me read more

We went to Tin Fish around 5pm for an early dinner and we were sat at a table that we didn't like near the restrooms. We had asked the manager for a different table in the dining room which was 80% empty and we were told no that those tables had reservations for them. We told the manager that we were going to be ordering just entrees no appetizers and that our dinner would not be more than 30 to 40 minutes the manager still refused to give us a table for us to enjoy our dinner with an attitude of indifference. We got up and walked out of the restaurant and we had a wonderful dinner back at our country club. We've been going there a few times it's not like we were new there. In no hurry to return. There's other seafood places in Boca Raton that we haven't tried yet hopefully we will get treated better than the way we were treated here. read more

Didn't really know what to expect visiting a seafood restaurant in a strip center. We were happily surprised to have a really solid meal. The seafood here is absolutely delicious and fresh. My wife had the whole baked branzino with their house sauce - Spectacular! I had the grilled snapper fillet and it was also fantastic. Their vinegar based coleslaw was also a hit. Our server, Nick, was also attentive and personable. Highly recommend. read more

The noise level unacceptable they seated us in the bar at 7:30 reservation , we had a 7:00 res in the main room. We screamed at each other for 2hours and 45 minutes. Service was the worst ever. Food ok but made for a totally enjoyable night. They should be ashamed of themselves. Manager said they were slammed. They will be a little less slammed because we are never going back rude manager unapologetic read more

Made reservations at 7:30 and was seated promptly. That's where the promptness ended. We ordered appetizers before the two tables next to us were sat. Nothing extravagant, a salad and corn bread. The two tables next to us received theirs before we did. My Caesar Salad was mostly the yellowish end of the lettuce and the stalk. The Caesar dressing had the color of Thousand Island and tasted like it was from a bottle. The corn bread was tasty but dry. It took a while for the waiter to come back but we ordered our entrees. Steak and clams. Nothing that take a long time. Then we sat and sat and sat. The two tables next to us received their entrees and we still sat. The waiter never came by to see how we were doing or ask if we needed anything. After an hour and ten minutes since we arrived we decided to pay for what we ate then leave. On top of the lousy service and average food the place is extremely noisy. Everybody is yelling trying to hear over everybody else. First and last time we will go there and won't recommend it to anybody. read more

lovely interior fish was fresh and very flavorful Wine was chilled to perfection Lettuce salad was interesting

the food excellent, the service very attentive and the ambiance trendy. Price wise very reasonable. Will definitely go back and try other diner options. Recommend fully. read more

We chose Tin Fish as a destination for a birthday dinner. The staff was difficult to locate. Our dinners took a very long time to come to the table. Three dinners came to the table while the birthday girls dinner was delayed for twenty five minutes. We tried to ask what the delay was but since we couldn't locate our waiter there was no point to the effort. Finally the fourth dinner came to the table. I asked for dressing and never received it. The cost of dinner should have enabled us to eat together. The birthday cake never came out and then it came to the table in a "TO GO" bag. This was completely insulting. We were patient and respectful but we left feeling very ignored and insignificant. Very sad dinner. I spoke with the manager, our waiter, and he was rude on the phone and did not offer us and recourse on this he was just rude!!! Shame shame Tin Fish. There are other wonderful restaurants in Boca like City Fish,. Don't go to Tin Fish. read more

Stay away! If you are looking for an enjoyable dining experience cross Tin Fish off your list! The place is so loud, you have to literally scream to the people in your party to have a conversation. Moreover the food took 75 minutes to get to our table and to boot the fish was tasteless and undercooked. read more

Apparently on Thursday nights they have live music off of the dining room. Which happened to be very good. But it was too loud. Everyone in the dining room was complaining. A table of six got up and left their table. The table behind us were miserable. So,I actually got up and spoke with the hostess. The snarky reply, He wont turn it down. So in other words the performer has full control and management is out of control. I looked at her and said, "you pay him". I was ignored. As we were leaving a manager or owner comes over and asks us how things were. As we complained he said it was really difficult to navigate. I said no it's not. Tell your musician to lower the music so people who are going out to dinner can have a conversation. Not feel like you are at a wedding reception, placed by the speaker and your brains rattle. read more

Yesterday December 19, 2024 I arrived at your restaurant at 6:40 pm for my 6:45 pm reservation. We were told by the hostess that we would have a long wait (she had no idea how long) since the restaurant was full. She could sit us outside or at the side of the restaurant where you were having a very noisy Xmas party. We have been repeat customers since you opened and loved the food and the service. Last night we were treated very badly, and I you are full why did you give a reservation and confirm that reservation earlier that day? You lost customers today that support your restaurant the whole year. A Garcia Boca Raton read more

If you don't know...You Should. Off Yamato rd tucked away in Doris's strip mall is my new fav fish restaurant. My second visit tonight; we had Nick as our server who is excellent, every recommendation was perfection as promised. The chef outdoes himself, food is prepared and presented at its best. Generous portions. Dessert II can tell you this is the best Key Lime Pie I've had. This place does not disappoint. Make a reservation. read more

I was hoping this place would be good. It is not. I had the stuffed shrimp with crab, the shrimp were ok but stuffed crab was pretty gross. This is basically Bonefish at almost twice the price. Went with a party 9 and 7 out 9 did not like the place. Service was slow and it took 45 minutes to get the checks and split them up I would be surprised if this place is still open in 2 years unless they make some drastic changes read more

Went to dinner tonight at Tin Fish. Wanted a bottle of wine that was on their wine list....they didn't have it. My husband then wanted oysters.....they didn't have any Then he wanted clams on the half shell....they didn't have any. Shouldn't a seafood restaurant have the seafood listed on the menu????? He ordered the lobster roll...all claw meat, no tail. He spoke with the owner who gave him an "Oh well" attitude. Our server Sibel could not have been lovelier. Attentive and on point. I will be very surprised if this restaurant stays in business. read more

We called for a last minute reservation and Tin Fish came through for me on a busy Friday night. We were a party of four and the food and drinks were delicious. It was a busy night and yet the service was excellent. I loved the decor of the restaurant, the only negative was the noise control, but most restaurants around South Florida have that problem. We plan on going back often. Friends tell me they have a fantastic Happy Hour. read more

Ambience was nice. Server was pleasant and attentive. First time there after hearing good reviews. I was disappointed with my food. I guess I ordered the wrong meal because other meals were fine. Sautéed calamari in red was tasty but calamari was very small. Linguine in white clam sauce was very disappointing. The clams were extremely small which didn't allow you to taste them at all with the linguine. The broth was very bland. No flavor. I had to add red pepper to zest it up so basically it was linguine in a clear broth. read more

The food did not impress me and service was slow. However, I got the impression it was a bad night and we should try again. Restaurant is comfortable and staff friendly. read more

Went on a Friday night, so loud and noisy. The special was sea bass, this was not any type of sea bass I've ever had. Was more like a dried out over priced snapper. read more

Good (but overpriced) food. Indifferent service. Extremely loud. Charge for bread. And a credit card fee. I'm not returning.

High hopes for this place were dashed as we got Bonefish level food at Capital Grill level prices. I ordered the special a swordfish. $42. The first time i have had swordfish not presented as a swordfish steak. It was a small thinly sliced piece of fish. The taste was average. The rice was tasteless clumpy. The slaw was also tasteless. Another in our party had a sole and it was dried out. We were a party of 8 and's no one enjoyed their meal. read more

First.time at the place. It was ok in the place and the waiter was cordial but the main course was not edible. It was so salty the fish and I don't even think it was fresh as the menu stated. We told the waiter and all he could say was that he was sorry and tell the manager to not charge for my meal which was nice. After we received the bill they charged-my husband's dinner $2.00 more and charged almost $2.00 for using a charge card and not mention ahead of time any of this. We will not be back ever again ! read more
