Excellent experience every time! Hidden gem in Boca serving great seafood and amazing sushi. They have happy hour daily and live music every Friday. Highly recommend!!

I've been looking forward to trying this spot for a hot minute. We had a table for 9 which was ready immediately upon arrival. They were fully packed on a Friday night in the summer. A telling sign! I started out with a Blue Moon and they served us delicious croquettes while journeying through the menu. I went with the Special of the Day -- Key West style Bronzino, a Mediterranean Sea bass which included lemon, Hewlitt Slaw and Tin Fish seasoned rice. Delicious! Some of the other orders that stuck out on the table were the Tin Fish Lobster Roll and their sushi. This is a great spot to add to future Happy Hour journeys. Their Reuben of the Sea looks like a great option for a future lunch time!

I was so excited to come here with my family! We made a reservation for a Friday night and it was popping!! The restaurant itself is beautiful with a nice seating area with plenty of tables and a large bar with TVs and some high tops. We started with multiple sushi dishes as appetizers which were absolutely fabulous. The sushi chef is from Argentina which apparently has one of the best sushi schools in the world. I was blown away by the quality, presentation and flavor. The fish comes in fresh every day Everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed their meals from the salmon, snapper, pork chop and linguine. My favorite was the snapper with sautéed vegetables. Our server was Nikki she was super funny and nice. One of the managers Dean came over to our table he was extremely accommodating (and handsome!!) you can tell he truly loves what he does. Dean was so kind to us he brought us out a dessert plate on the house. It had deconstructed tiramisu, cheesecake and zabaione which I had never heard of before. The zabaione was everyone's favorite it was tangy and creamy. Absolutely loved it!! Overall I was absolutely stunned by the sushi and will most definitely come back here!! Loved it!!

Located in the Doris strip mall, this was a nice find. I love finding local small restaurants to support and will definitely come here again. We came here on a Sat for lunch. Nikki provided great service and we really enjoyed the food. The prices were very reasonable as well. We ordered the Cesar salad with salmon add on and the ahi tuna appetizer. The ahi tuna appetizer was a very generous portion and I ended up just having that as my entree. They also gave us complimentary salmon croquettes, which was a very nice touch and delicious. We will definitely come here again.

Finally, we have a place in Boca Raton where you can eat great food, enjoy excellent service, and enjoy live classics music on the weekends! It doesn't get any better than this.

We had a decent lunch here although we didn't have very much to eat. I'd been to their restaurant in Sunrise and was looking forward to a similar experience. That restaurant is a casual fish place with good food and reasonable prices. This place, however, is the Boca-fied version -- more upscale with white tablecloths, a stiffer vibe, and a more expensive menu. There were a lot of older "ladies that lunch" while we were there. Even a 98-year-old's birthday party filling a large round table in the middle of the main dining room. It didn't seem like a place that would welcome families. Service was friendly and apologetic. Their sushi chef was not in yet (he was running late? There was a difference of opinion of when he was supposed to arrive), so their sushi menu was not available nor was the guy that did their oysters. They could do poke, but that was all from that select menu. I wanted to try their baked stuffed clams that I'd seen on their regular menu. After checking with the kitchen, they were able to make them for me. I ordered a half dozen. I was told they would take some time to make, so I ordered a small Caesar salad to have while I waited. The small Caesar was much larger than I'd anticipated. It had minimal dressing, so I asked for some more. The Caesar was a lot of dark cut up romaine with small croutons and shaved parmesan cheese. It was okay. Shortly after they served the salad, the clams were delivered -- much sooner than anticipated. I probably would have ordered something after the clams instead of a salad first had I known. The baked stuffed clams were served with lemons and two small, tiny bottles of tabasco sauce. The clams were very tasty. I liked the breading and the bite of clam in every shell. I'd order these again. My husband who had wanted to order sushi, wound up ordering a large Caesar salad just to have something. It was a slightly bigger version of the one I'd had. Three quarters of our way through his salad, we were told the sushi chef had arrived. By then, he was almost done and past wanting anything else. I'm glad we came and tried them. Now we know.

We enjoyed this restaurant. Was quite happy with my crab stack appetizer( sans dressing ) which was large enough to be an entree and then some ( I couldn't finish it ). It consisted of crab, raw tuna and avocado. Comes with chips that were quite good . My kids devoured their sushi sandwich ( be warned for spicy food lovers only ) and seafood tower. Portions are large and prices are fair. Services was a bit slow but friendly and overall fine. Easy parking in a typical Florida strip mall. I'd return.

Had a date night at Tin Fish Boca. Anyone that knows me knows that I will literally find something wrong with every restaurant in SoFL. We rarely eat out because we cook better at home. Finally a great restaurant in Boca. We had Grilled octopus starter, Crab Stuffed Grouper Key West style (a sick lemon butter sauce), Grouper Fish & Chips. The best, most interesting Cole Slaw (IDK how I can even talk like that about Cole slaw) Great atmosphere, great service (thanks Dino). We will be regulars here for sure. #foodporn #seafood #datenight

The ambiance would be fine for a lunch or dinner, date night small or large party. The service was excellent. The bread platter and salad were delish. The Rubin sandwich was good. I didn't care for the coating on the fish cod. I'm used to a batter coating and this was seasoned bread crumbs. For my taste is was too salty. The chef came to my table and said it is a long standing recipe. I was told I could order it with panko unseasoned. It was great atmosphere and the lunch was served beautifully. Next time I will try fresh grilled fish hold the salt. I think I will give tin fish a second try.

Our family's evening at Tin Fish Boca was nothing short of fantastic! The food was excellent, the staff was wonderful, and the fact that we were there for one of their first nights of service at their new location capped the experience off as fun and memorable. For Chef Joe Melluso and his staff (Vince was our awesome waiter) the evening was fraught with challenges, much beyond their control (think technology). However, none of this impacted the quality of what was coming out of the kitchen - it was all fantastic! The polite and accommodating demeanor of the staff exhibited under pressure made the evening even more special. Our family of five remained patient and understanding, recognizing the inherent stress of opening a new restaurant and knowing they were doing their best in a very stressful situation. We've all seen the show Chef, right?! Our patience truly paid off, our meal was incredible - much of it pictured below. The conch fritters and sauteed calamari (appetizers) were great, the seasoned & coated (crispy) whole branzino melted in your mouth, the mahi mahi (one order "simply grilled" and one "Tin Fish saute") were both perfectly prepared, and our non-fish eater loved his penne a la vodka. The truffle fries and sauteed mushrooms were both superb sides. And a special shoutout to Chef Joe for including the cole slaw recipe from the Hewlett Fish Market (walking distance from where I grew up on Long Island), so it felt like coming home for me. But, the true pièce de résistance for me was the lobster roll. It was the best I have ever had - anywhere. Our meal was wonderfully slow, relaxing, and filled with laughter, so despite all of the amazing food we had just eaten, we were still interested in trying some dessert, and I'm so glad we did. We shared a slice of key lime pie, as well as a slice of some sort of decadent chocolate cake with a caramel(?) sauce. By all means, save room for dessert! Our dinner will go down in family history as a pinnacle experience. The combination of the very well-prepared dishes, welcoming environment, and hard-working staff who appreciated our laughter and patience made for a wonderful evening. We truly can't wait to go back the next time we visit our Boca family. Thank you, Chef Joe and staff for a great evening!

As we approached the hidden entrance tucked under a portico, I noticed it was right next to a Jersey Mikes entrance which gave me pause for a second. We had a reservation and were greeted by an extremely pleasant woman who turned out to be our waitress as well. The interior is tight, only about 7-8 tables, a bar and a small kitchen. After speaking with our lovely waitress, we ordered and the food was delivered in courses which was nice for a change. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared and delicious. It turns out the single person in the kitchen is the owner. He hand prepares every dish and accompaniment. Great food, great service and the staff were all very pleasant. Before I talk about the food I want to say that the young lady that was the bartender and server was so friendly and gave great suggestions. The restaurant is small, however it is beautiful inside and does offer outdoor seating as well. Now for the food. They bring out fresh hot rolls with a small plate of cheese pesto and balsamic drizzle. Outstanding!!!!! We came to find out the owner who is the chef, his wife is a pastry chef and makes the bread and desserts. To start we had the Spanish chargrilled octopus. I know I have said this before about other restaurants, but I can truly say hands-down. This was the freshest, most tender, and one of the most flavorful grilled octopus that we have had. It came with a mixture of capers, potatoes, and vegetables in an amazing sauce. Truly fantastic. For dinner, my wife had the blackened yellowtail snapper in curry sauce, and I had the shellfish pan roast. Both were one of a kind dishes. We have never had such great flavor and seafood. Not to mention the amount of food that they put out and the presentation is worthy of awards. My wife's blacked snapper was cooked perfectly had a light blackened coating, and the curry sauce was tremendous. My shellfish were super fresh. Again cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. The sauce they were in was amazing. For dessert, we tried their homemade Keylime pie, and this too was top-notch and made fresh. We are planning our next trip to this restaurant and if you actually want a true fine, dining seafood experience you have to try this spot. I'm going to say it is priced accordingly for the true quality of food, the amount you are served and the presentation. If you are looking for a fried shrimp basket or fish and chips, this is not the type of restaurant for you. This is upscale seafood, and a true upscale seafood experience. You might want to consider making reservations as they do get busy and as I mentioned earlier, it is a small restaurant.

I upgraded to the Brussels sprouts and they did not disappoint probably my favorite bite of the night. My large group had a reservation at 7:15 on a Monday. Our waiter was kind, but not very attentive for a larger table. The food took a while to come out, but when it did, it was flavorful and fresh. Unfortunately, our night took a serious turn. One of the guests in our party took a bite of his cauliflower and immediately turned red. His throat started closing and he went into anaphylactic shock. We can only assume some type of cross contamination came into contact with his food. He had to leave immediately because he could not breathe. We informed our waitress right away. She apologized and said she felt bad and didn't know how it happened. When we received the bill, she told us she removed the drink he had since it was full when he had to leave in a rush. However, she said she couldn't remove his meal because it had already been mostly eaten. I was honestly shocked that they wouldn't remove one entrée after someone had a severe allergic reaction at their restaurant. About 30 minutes passed and no manager came to speak with us. We asked if the manager was aware of the situation. The manager, Bill, eventually came over, handed us the receipt, said "I took care of their meals, here is your receipt," and walked away. There was no apology, no concern shown, and he didn't ask if our friend was okay. The lack of professionalism and compassion from management was extremely disappointing. If we hadn't had this experience, they would have received a good rating because the food was good. But if you have food allergies, I would be very cautious dining here. A serious allergic reaction should be handled with urgency, care, and professionalism, and unfortunately, that was not our experience.

A while later he has that check machine in his hand (I hate those honestly- becoming a restaurant standard but gives you no time to discuss anything with your party or figure out the tip) he asked if we needed anything I said no, thinking he was having us pay since we're not ordering anything else- but then he just walked away. The other table is getting rowdy and annoyed not seeing him either now. I see that table out of the corner of my eye getting annoyed with him. They're ready to go, as are we. We finally get the check and they charged us $4.50 for the bread. Confused I asked about that mistake. He then told us he sent his manager over to talk to us (you did?) and he'll send him over again. So now we just want to leave but are waiting for the manager. The man who delivered the bread comes over. Tells me it depends how thick it is. Sometimes it's 3 sometimes it's 4 pieces (referring to the individual halves of bread) that's why we were charged for a side of bread. He then tells me the server must not have understood. I was very clear and asked for a half a piece- letting him know we always order this. I didn't ask for 2 slices with butter- which they brought. The manager offers to knock a few bucks off but it's made in house so that's all he'll do. I'm not really happy I didn't want all that, I didn't order it and really if your server misunderstood why am I being charged? (Plus we're already frustrated waiting there, we've been ready to go for a while at this point) Meanwhile the table next to us gets up to talk to the manager who's busy "fixing" our check as they also just want to leave. They're clearly frustrated as well. Then the server comes by and asks us if everything was solved. Not really but sort of. I hear him go to the manager behind us ... and the manager says "I'm going to charge them something for it" Someone else from that other table comes over to complain to us about how this place is going downhill. They also used to really like it there- but now they're spending their whole afternoon in there. We have a lovely chat about how frustrating this experience has been before the server comes back with our revised check. So I went from coming here at least once a month (literally my open table shows me coming here 3 times since the middle of March) but I will not be returning anytime soon and I have a feeling neither will that other party (Also on their menu on their website the bread is only $4.25 so we were overcharged no matter how you look at it. But you won you charged us something!)
