A true hidden gem. I have probably driven past this place and never knew it was there. I met colleagues for dinner and we all had an enjoyable experience. The space has a very hip vibe. The tables are intimate and cozy. Our server was prompt, professional, and offered excellent suggestions. The wine and cocktail list has something for everyone. I was most excited about the food menu. In true foodie fashion, I always study the menu ahead of time so i am familiar with what is being offered and have some idea of what I want to eat. The stand out items were the crab Rangoon flat bread pizza and the lobster pot pie. Both were everything I needed it to be. For my entree the oxtail Raghu was the perfect meal for a chilly fall evening. It was hearty and savory and the portion was enough to be comfortably satisfied. This time I came for the happy hour, only tried happy hour menu. The burger was good, for HH, you don't get fries (must be ordered separate) but burger was delicious and for my sides I ordered side of brussels sprouts which was amazing. still pretty good service, cocktail of the day was ok. I recommend trying something from their menu and just order what you like. For some reason I remember cocktail being really good, I will need to come back and try it again, otherwise I wasn't impressed with the cocktail I had. it's still a very nicey cozy little elevated dining spot in Creve Coeur I hope they continue to thrive. read more

Haven't visited Timothy's for a couple of years even though we were always very happy with our experience there. After such a great meal on Monday evening, we will be returning more often. I highly recommend their smoked pastrami lamb. Most of the fat is rendered by the smoking and the pastrami flavoring is perfect. The steak tip pasta was also very good as were the cheesecake fritters. After driving past this place for about a year I decided to try it out for their new brunch menu! Everything looked delicious -- not your basic bacon and eggs stuff -- so we were really excited to try it. The interior of the restaurant seems like it's having a bit of an identity crisis. There's some old French posters, some sound dampening panels on the ceiling, and some kinda funky art going on. Not a big deal but it's hard to tell the intended vibe. The wait staff was SUPER attentive and my husband said it felt like a fine dining establishment in that way. They pulled the chairs out, made sure we had napkins if we dropped them, brought out special knives for certain dishes, etc. The food was just okay. I got a fried green tomato Benedict that was a bit undercooked and my husband got a breakfast gumbo-y thing which had good flavor but not much meat. The best thing were the amazing cheese grits!! Very fine dining - wonderful service, fantastic food, good friends - - - As we planned a dinner out with another couple, the wives, our better halves, sought new restaurants. My wife found Timothy's via internet search... and what a great find! Timothy's is located on Olive, just west of 279; on the south side, across from the former Creve Coeur Camera location, in the Schnucks parking lot. From the outside it looks like most any other restaurant in a strip mall; from the inside you find a restaurant that is very nice and welcoming, and... upscale; inside is a place of fine dining. The interior is lit well enough to see, but not bright; neither dark - just right. Nice artwork adorns the walls, including the large painted face that provides you a welcoming look from the other room. As we socialized, the ladies each enjoyed their cocktails; while our friend enjoyed a beer in a glass. Timothy's provides very good bread, accompanied by whipped butter... so good you'll to ask for a couple more slices to make sure you scoop all of the butter from the bowl. For dinner, my wonderful wife and I shared two plates - a ribeye and the miso grouper... both were fantastic. Our friends were thrilled with their food, too. Victoria was a gracious host who gave us just the right of attention when we arrived and socialized, adjusting to provide more attention as needed through the evening. Thank you, Victoria. Stephen/Steven was our server, and he was absolutely amazing; I hope I'm spelling his name correctly We ordered the trout and the salmon. We also had the hummus for an appetizer. The trout was thin, but very flavorful. The salmon was more spongy with lots of flavor and came with apples definitely unique. The hummus delicious. I do not think I would return. I was not that impressed with the entrees for the cost. However the service was amazing. The older gentleman at the front was snapping fingers at staff we felt very bad for them. The service was amazing from the time we walked in from when we left we felt welcomed. Our waitress did I great job explaining the menu and I started with a non-alcoholic drink called the pink pony which was delicious. The deviled eggs were not bad but they were not my fav because they are not sweet at all. My pasta was delicious I love goat cheese and as it mix in with the rest of the dish it made it even creamier. The atmosphere is great for date night with dim lighting and a heated patio. Timothy's has been on my list and I'm so glad I got the chance to try it! The service, the ambiance is just so good and classy! Unfortunately, we had some hiccups with the food. My lasagna was completely burnt on the bottom. I couldn't even cut through it with a fork. It still puzzles me that it was served that way. Everyone was extremely apologetic and of course they remade it. My mother's Cornish hens were one second from being burnt. They tasted fine and she ate them. I don't know if the chef was having an off day but everything seemed to be overcooked. The bananas foster was excellent. I will definitely give them another try. Our server and other workers were very nice and accommodating. We brought our own cake and they were quick to help us put it in the fridge and provide utensils for cutting and serving - even a lighter for our candles. We just personally didn't love the food - everything was just okay. We did like the lobster pot pie, Caesar salad, and their fries. But the entrees were just okay.
