    French onion soup

It is in the Hilton hotel by Plaza Frontenac . French onion soup was amazing and service was great. Quiet nice dining room

When you come to a hotel you never really know what to expect. I looked at reviews and was so so but because we flew in today and we were exhausted, we just stayed here. I'm so glad we did. The waitress was THE BEST. This woman was taking orders, bringing food, bussing the tables, being the bartender, and doing checks. Holy crap! We never waited long for anything either and she just kept going. She had at least seven tables and a few people at the bar too. She was legit. Give her a raise! Food was pretty good too. Best hotel food I've had in a long time.

Salmon with lobster and butternut squash and veggies

The food here is a well keep secret. Recently I had reason to stay here was was reminded of how good the food is. So many truly outstanding things on the menu. As others have said, it is a very good burger. I love the garden salad... not so much the Caesar. The entrees are quite good... grilled salmon with lobster and veggies is incredibly tasty -I think my favorite although the pork tenderloin with Brussel sprout and bacon stir fry is close in deliciousness. Very clean and friendly, accommodating service. The fish tacos were also quite yummy -everything was fresh, flavorful, and attractively presented. I have also been here with family for a weekend breakfast and the omelets were excellent. Nice neighborhood spot I need reminded to keep top of mind.

Food and service was high quality! Had the calamari, it was very tender and delicious! Ribeye steak and burgers were cooked to perfection, and were very flavorful!

I stayed at the Hilton Frontenac during my 5 day stay in St.Louis and this was the restaurant attached to the hotel so I had plenty of visits here. On the menu was your standard bar food (potatoes skins, wings, burgers, pizza etc.) as well as pasta, steak and seafood options (prices were reasonable, appetizers ranged from $8-$12 and entrées were about $10-$25, prices are in USD). During my multiple stays here I tried the toasted ravioli, wings, potatoes skins and seafood fettuccine. The highlights were the seafood fettuccine and the ravioli. The seafood fettuccine was great (about $17 after tax), and had a very generous serving of scallops and shrimp, it even had some lobster meat included. The toasted ravioli I was told was a St.Louis specialty so I had to try it. It was a pretty good appetizer and was pretty tasty. A satisfying experience.

Typical hotel restaurant. Very poor quality. Only positive I found is that it was not horribly overpriced. They got the 2nd star for the proximity to my room. The food: Ordered fish tacos and that was a big mistake! Mahi Mahi was burnt and dried out. Tacos were covered in sauce and impossible to pick up without getting that all over your hands. Salsa, chips and quac came with it. The chips were stale! The quac and salsa were decent but no doubt from a jar. I'm not sure if they even have real cooks here. Come on man! Would you serve your mother this?

    Dinner

I ordered the salmon and a caesar salad, both which were excellent. I sat at the bar and service was very good. Food was also ready quick.

A decent place to eat inside Frontenac Hilton. Bar chips, toasted ravioli and chicken breast for entree were very good. Their chicken wings were just ok, a bit bland.

Sunday brunch is fantastic. Food (especially the prime rib) and staff are wonderful. No negatives here. Margie V.'s reveiw is right on target.

Food, service is always quality. They need to work on manners & service in the bar on Friday evenings as well as wine selection.

But I just remember the server was very attentive and seemed to know when we needed something. We had a few appetizers. Try the mussels. They were my favorite. It took a while for the waitress to acknowledge us. I ordered a coffee and the chicken and waffles. Chicken and waffles were okay but needed more syrup or hot honey with them. I would have asked for more but the waitress never came back to check on us after the food came. Coffee was okay, but I wasn't offered a refill until we were done with our meal and getting our checks. $3.50 for 1 cup of black coffee is a bit much. When we got our check, we had to wait a while for the waitress to come back to split it for us, I always find it strange when they don't ask. Overall not a great or awful experience but I have def had better.

I could get vegan eggs and vegan bacon, and my friends could get their chicken eggs and turkey bacon. My favorites here were the vegan milkshakes, pancakes, vegan bacon, brussels sprouts, and the shrimp po'boy. Unfortunately, I'm speaking of them in past tense because as of tonight, 09May, they have permanently closed. My family and I were some of the very last customers. They were out of all my favorites, so it was extra sad for me. I ended up trying the tacos for the first time. They were cool. But I'm surely going miss my favorites! The owners also own Frida's and Diego's, off Delmar and North & South. I personally don't care for the food at either one, but rumor has it, they might bring some of the Station No 3 favs over to one of these restaurants (which are right next door to each other).

They also seem to have a full bar. There was a Wednesday happy hour when we were there $9 old fashioned and potato skins. All and all it was pretty good but I would have liked to see some healthier options that weren't salad, like more fresh veggies in dishes.

The bartender makes a great old fashioned cocktail. It was so smooth. (It wasn't even my drink). They have lots of good wine options too. Meatball appetizer was okay IMO but hubs really liked it. Have to give that bartender a shout out because he was amazing. He did a great job of waiting on a full bar and a very party that came in for happy hour. And he was essentially by himself. No bar back. Sometimes other people did lend a hand but he did the bulk of it. When we sat at our table we also had good service. I again ordered beet salad but then got the gnocchi too. The gnocchi themselves were meh but the sauce was very tasty. The ribeye was very good and cooked just right. Side order of mushrooms were a little disappointing. We finished off with the brownie sundae. Best part of that was the ice cream. I mentioned my husband's birthday when I made the reservation but they didn't acknowledge it at all.
