I'll never stop talking about Timothy's! We recommend it to people all the time! I honestly have no idea how many times we've been there. It's fine dining but without being stuffy like some places are. The fact that a lot of the staff has been there since we started going there a few years ago says a lot. We all know there are so many staffing changes at restaurants. My husband and I went there last night. The service was, once again, top notch. And the food was so good - as were the cocktails! They have some staples on their food and drink menus, but they change some things up seasonally. Our cocktails and my entree were both from their new fall menu. My husband got a seafood dish that was a special. They also serve lunch, have a nice happy hour, and a great Sunday brunch. If you haven't been - what are you waiting for?! You won't be disappointed!

I've been wanting to check out this place for a while and finally made it out to their happy hour on Monday night. I went with the cocktail of the day which was tasty and boozy at $6 along with the pimento cheese tots ($5) and sprouts ($10). The tots were good and it was a generous portion for 5 bucks but maybe a little over-fried. The sprouts were amazing! Thr sprouts are served over whipped blue cheese. I'm typically not a blue cheese fan, but the flavors really complemented each other and I would definitely order this again in the future. The inside is dimly lit with an upscale but accessible feel. Our server was super attentibe. Perfect spot to stop for something to eat before heading to the movies across the street!

Happy hour at Timothy's? Immediate yes. The vibe is polished-but-relaxed, service is dialed in, and the HH menu actually feels curated--not just an afterthought. What we loved: * House hummus - silky and super flavorful with a little chili-crisp vibe, plus warm flatbread and crunchy veggies. Generous and shareable. * Pimento cheese deviled eggs - tangy, a little heat, and totally craveable with that drizzle on top. * Timothy's burger - juicy, melty, and delightfully messy in the best way. Exactly what a happy-hour burger should be. Drinks were solid, pacing was spot-on, and it's the kind of bar where you can actually have a conversation without yelling. Value is strong and everything came out hot and well seasoned. Tip: Get there on the earlier side--seats go fast. (Check their site for current happy hour times/menu.) This was the place I was most looking forward to during my trip to visit my friend and unfortunately it turned out a bit disappointing. The service was spectacular and we have no complaints there, but the napkins and tablecloths smelled extremely stale which made it hard to get comfortable. I even asked for a new one at one point and it smelled the same and I'm not sure if it's just an issue with the laundry service they use. We ordered a bunch of different items: French onion soup Lobster pot pie Deviled eggs Cauliflower Pork chop Beef roast Steak and fries Bananas foster Complimentary birthday pineapple upside down cake The French onion soup was fairly strange in that the cheese was melted over the slice of bread and you can just remove it from the soup. It was okay - the broth was good and the onions were jammy. Needs more melty cheese. The lobster pot pie needed pieces of chunky lobster. It kinda just tasted like soup with filo dough. The deviled eggs were fine. The cauliflower was pretty good but there was a lot of it (not necessarily a bad thing) - but the blue cheese was fairly heavy. For the entire, the meats were cooked well and the portions were big. I think the sauces needed a bit more flavor to go with it. The bananas foster was purely for fun - it was kind of whatever as a dessert but the presentation is cool. However the biggest surprise of the night was the complimentary dessert for my birthday - which was a small pineapple upside down cake. That cake was incredible. Overall - it was fine - but food was just slightly lacking luster. And they need a new laundry service. Staff was great though.

I've always wanted to try this place and last night I got the chance to finally go. Upon arriving I was immediately greeted by several staff at the front door. My party was already there and seated. One thing I did enjoy was the small intimate setting this place gives. Our waiter had exceptional customer service in discussing the menu items and we both settled on a pepper crusted steak, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. We both asked for the steaks to be cooked medium well but they and they were cooked perfectly. The food was seasoned well and I enjoyed the meal. Several people who weren't even our waiter came by and asked several times if we needed anything and again I appreciate that level of service. If you're looking to try something new with a small intimate type of setting give this place a try. As always until next time...

The deviled eggs were well prepared though didn't have anything significant about the taste, still good qualify ingredients. The salmon was amazing! This is the item that will bring me back, the rice/corn complimented it well without overpowering the salmon. A great new find that I'm excited to try again soon!

This is definitely the best dirty martini in town. I have tried martini in multiple restaurants even choosing high end vodka but nothing compares to this smooth cocktail. The sweet potato curry soup was a fantastic starter. We absolutely loved the bananas foster dessert. The star was lost for the entree. Truth be told I would line to give 3.5 stars. I got the signature tenderloin. I was very disappointed. It was served cold. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were powdered. The brussel sprouts were mushy and overcooked. My fiancée got the steak top pasta and felt under impressed. The waiters was personable and attentive. The atmosphere was fabulous. I appreciate a peaceful and clean environment. I love being able to have a conversation without shouting. I'd definitely return for dessert and drinks but most likely would not recommend for a meal. Disappointed because I love the location but the price point requires high quality and we just weren't even close.

We've been meaning to try Timothy's for a long time but they never seemed to have availability. Finally, we decided to try on a Sunday around noon and we immediately got in. I tried my husband's crab and sausage gumbo (with white rice on top). Absolutely delicious, and he said it is some of the best gumbo he's ever had. I ordered their chicken Caesar salad and will definitely order it again! The homemade dressing is divine and the chicken was grilled perfectly (too many restaurants don't get it right). The croutons were disappointing (slightly sweet and oddly soft as if they're trying to be something else like cookies). The split hard-boiled egg is good but not necessary. The inside of the restaurant is cozy with an upscale feel.

Fantastic surprise! Given two life-long S. Louisans hadn't heard of this place, we weren't sure what we were going to get. What a great neighborhood find! You'll enjoy your meal, and those who imbibe will have ample chance to whet the whistle (e.g., the first 9 pages and last 5 pages of the menu are all drinks... telling me they must make some money with that). Our meals were all delightful. Our large group enjoyed 5-6 different appetizers, and all of them were a hit (I'm looking at you Pimento Cheese Deviled Eggs). The menu is full of creative main course offerings, and at least four of us ordered the Pastrami Lamb Chops. The smoking and seasoning transformed what any of us know from typical chops. If dining with a partner, splitting this plate with a more traditional main will give you just what you crave in adventure culinary pursuits. Lastly, thank goodness I was with a group because if I was eating alone when the Croissant Bread Pudding dessert showed up, I'd likely have embarrassed myself something fierce.

I really enjoyed my lunch at Timothy's. The lunch menu is relatively small, but had some great sounding options. I ordered the steak sandwich and fries. The quality of steak was top notch and balance of flavors on the sandwich was spot on. The fries were good, but I ended up requesting garlic aioli to kick them up a notch. While I liked Timothy's, I would say $25 for a sandwich at lunch is steeper than prices you'd pay elsewhere in the area. It was worth the visit and I wouldn't mind returning to try their dinner.

Came in on a Sunday evening with a reservation as a group of 4, seated immediately, maybe 5 other groups in the restaurant Dress code: smart-business casual, wouldn't be out of place a little more formal Food 4/5: ordered the lobster pot pie and brussel sprouts for apps, pork chops, oxtail ragu, lamb chops and steak frites. Not really a fan of the brussel sprouts, flavor a bit too harsh for me but everything else was very good. Pork chops slightly dry. Would highly recommend steak frites, lamb chops and lobster pot pie Ambiance 4/5: entrance and bar area seemed fairly casual but dining room more elegant. Fairly average fine dining ambiance Service 5/5: very attentive and great at recommendations and explanations. Multiple other tables got the banana foster with table side flambé. We were too full to get it but seemed quite popular Value 4/5: good food for a fair price, bumped up for the excellent service. Overall 4.3/5: overall a good experience highlight being certain dishes and excellent service. Parking: massive parking lot

Timothy's menu has a range of entrees paired with interesting sides. The evening's special was venison. My husband ordered the venison and said the meat was tender and flavorful. A good choice. It was nice to have a venison entree to try. In my experience, not many restaurants serve venison in St. Louis. My pork chop was thick and cooked just right. It was a tender, a good sized portion and was served over some tasty sides. We also had outstanding service. Our waiter, Adrian was attentive and made our dining experience great. We did not order bananas foster for dessert, but we watched him prepare it for another table, and it sure looked good.

First I have to say Amanda our server was killin it! She had the whole front room to take care of and she did not miss a beat. You could tell she was stressed but still wow! The "Resort Weather" cocktail was amazing. The perfect blend of smoky sweetness. Now for the food! The pimento cheese tots everyone talks about were honestly "just okay" to us. But our entrees were delicious! My husband was very impressed with how well his steak was seasoned, along with the flavor of the accompanying sides with the Steak Frites. My salmon was also cooked perfectly and was seasoned nicely. A little disappointed with the potatoes(they seemed possibly from frozen?)but the mushrooms and green beans were really good and made up for potatoes. Cornbread cake was interesting. A little dry because,of course, it is cornbread but the flavorful sauce helped moisten it and made this dessert work. Overall, would not order again.

Just found out about Timothy's restaurant and love it. The staff and food are amazing. They worked hard at wanting to please us and give us a wonderful evening. I had the dinner special being offered that was a pasta with morel mushrooms. So good. The salad I ordered was the house salad that was a variety of unique lettuces and vegetables with goat cheese and I think a buttermilk dressing. So good. There was Asiago bread on the table. We stayed late talking and while having wine with our friends, I watched the staff work setting up the tables for the next day and was impressed with their professionalism on how the table was set up with precision. Everything was lined up on its mark. Only carrying and handling the water & wine glasses at the bottom. Cloth napkins. Etc. Everything you would expect from fine dining and a five star restaurant. We had a cocktail before dinner that was a special offered by the bartender, it had fresh fruit & herbs on top, very good. The wine section was outstanding and enjoyed a couple of bottles in our group. Highly recommend this intimate place for its food, drink, service and atmosphere. Really a hidden gem. We will be telling our friends and will go back often. read more

Had Sunday brunch here after church. First time here, had reservation and we were seated immediately on arrival. Nice decor and updated dining room. Quaint and cozy. Waiter seemed on edge at first, no greeting just walked up and started talking about the special. We ordered beverages , appetizer, salad and entree. Salmon salad nicoise, delicious combination of flavors!! The shrimp and grits super good too. Daughter had the deviled eggs also good, she wished there were more than 3 halves. She enjoyed the Pastrami lamb chops, with the egg and potatoes and recommends them highly. Husband had the Ham & Chz with potatoes and said it was good. I would give 10 stars if possible to Timothy's. The atmosphere is wonderful and it's a treat to sit down at a table with a tablecloth and cloth napkin. Lunch menu has a nice selection at reasonable prices My friend loved the Chicken and Rice soup and we both really liked the BLT with the T being a fried green tomato. Brought out a burger so burnt it was inedible. So then we sent it back. They tried it again and that brought out a raw burger twice, we ordered a shrimp roll and it was actually dripping and it was on a hotdog bun. The staff, however, is incredibly nice unfortunately the Chef needs to do better. The whole reason we went was because the menu online listed a gluten-free flatbread and we went at lunch and it wasn't available until dinner and they had very limited gluten-free options for lunch. We will have to come back. Overall enjoyed the food and drinks. Was a little weird they are doing photo shoot and it was super bright. Our server apologized for it which is fine. Went to Timothy's for my birthday. Pimento cheese deviled eggs are delicious, the duck special was gorgeous and lush, and the shrimp and grits tasted like home. Service was impeccable, the server very knowledgeable. The space was really lovely, smaller and not overwhelmingly loud like so many places can be. I look forward to returning! read more

The ambiance and service were both very nice. The vegetarian options are plentiful which is also a bonus and sometimes hard to find. Creve couer doesn't not have a lot of upscale restaurants so it's nice to have a newer edition. However the food was fairly bland. Would love to come back but can't really justify the price in comparison to other upscale dining restaurants in St. Louis. read more

The fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection and the service was wonderful. My water glass was never half empty they were always attentive and filled it quickly. Highly recommend this place and don't forget the fried green tomatoes. read more

A friend and I came out here today for lunch as neither of us have ever been. The interior is beautiful and intimate. Our server was nice, attentive, and knew the menu well. The food was ok. I got a chefs salad. I guess because it was lunch there was little protein. I was even considering to add more but was given the impression it was enough. It looked like 2 thin slices of turkey chopped and sprinkled on a plate with 1 deviled egg. So 1/2 of an egg and it was $15. Flavors were good. But again it's just a chef salad. There wasn't anything special about it. My friend got the steak salad and said it was nothing special not even half gone. $40 for 2 lunch salads...yikes. read more

WOW! This place is so jacked up! "Lobster" pot pie was nothing more than a small serving of bisque with one tiny .01 oz. of lobster & a puff pastry top, just $20! One expects some lobster in a pot pie, especially if you charge the price of 1/2 lobster. Featured redfish was 1/2 bloodline which shouldn't be served at all, otherwise fishy, undercooked, & flavorless. Risotto tasted like something you find in a grammer school lunch line. The pork "ribeye" was two small pork medallions that were all salt. Carrots were so hard they should have been served cold with a dip & celery sticks. Drinks were fine, wine selection is extensive & reasonably priced. Spectacular date night tonight at Timothy's! It was our first time and we really loved this place start to finish. It was quite an experience. Attention to detail by the servers was top notch. As we were seated, my wife made a remark to me about having forgotten her cheater glasses so she could read the menu. I kid you not, the host came back to the table with a cigar box filled with a variety of cheater glasses for her (and I) to choose from! Wow! The menu is well organized and the food options were varied, but not overwhelming. My wife loves a deliciously cold martini (shaken to the point of ice crystallization)...so she tried that first. After two sips she said that, hands down, this is the best martini in St Louis. Servers were persistent, polite, and prompt in moving from course to course. My water glass was never empty and plates didn't linger long on the table. Our main server had an excellent grasp of the menu and helped me navigate my dairy and gluten allergies with confidence. I tried the beet salad for a starter and it was awesome. It was bursting with flavors and a nice variety of beets...really well presented. For dinner, I tried the salmon. It was a symphony of taste. Chef prepared it with puréed black beans, roasted carrots, and chimichurri. I will be ordering this again in the future, it was so great. My wife ordered the filet of sirloin. Chef prepared it with asparagus with lobster hollandaise and garlic mashed potatoes. Again, fantastic! For dessert, I went with tangerine sorbet and my wife selected a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a tasty cordial. New restaurant that has great potential to be our go-to place but it needs some adjustments, IMHO. We liked that they take and honor reservations, good location and ample parking. Crowded but our table was ready with water already poured. Staff was friendly. Grilled Caesar salad we split was excellent. Rack of lambs we ordered medium and med-rare came out bloody rare and had to be sent back, but then they were done right and were wonderful in the chimichurri sauce. Our waiter Brandon was truly outstanding. When we were seated my wife mentioned to me the music was too loud. Brandon overheard this and said it was too loud for him too and turned it down. He was highly attentive and made sure our wine glasses were always filled. Suggested adjustments: 1. Cook the lamb as ordered the first time for $35. More potato and carrots than could be eaten. Maybe offer a few stalks of asparagus instead. 2. Cut the decibels! The dining room is crowded and really noisy. Maybe add carpeting and an acoustical ceiling. 3. The wines are only upscale. Cheapest glass of cab is $15, bottle is $40 No thanks. Suggest a couple of modest table wines by the glass and bottle, which would allow us to dine there more often. Maybe I should bring a modest but highly rated cab from my cellar, pay the reasonable $15 corkage, and be out $25 instead of $40 or more. 4. Do whatever it takes to keep Brandon on the staff. :-) We look forward to giving Timothy's another try. read more

We went here for a late night desert date. Desert was great. Service was great. This is dress up nice place with expensive food but they were nice and respectful that we came just for desert. Because of this we plan to come back for more desert and dinner hopefully. I have decided to go to other places for dinner because of the cost and choices. A single order comes with 5 pieces of bread, connected but tearable, and each a pretty small finger-sized piece. The board they served it on had a well full of olive oil and that was a mess. It was hard to pass without spilling and hard to share the oil since you had to pass the whole big bread board with it. Definitely a form over function thing that caused some frustration. Most of my party got steaks and all were very happy. 2 of my party got their steaks tuscan style and although they really liked the flavors on the meat, they wished they had not gotten salads first since the tuscan style plate replaced the usual potato and veg side with an arugula salad (so double salads for those folks). One person got the pork chop and it was massive, seemed like he liked it. I got the tagliatelle ragu and it was a good portion, not obscene but I had leftovers. It kind of tasted like pot roast pasta in a decent way. I don't know if I would get it again but I was not disappointed. 2 in our party ordered dessert, creme brulee and chocolate torte. The chocolate torte was phenomenal and one person said they would have come just for that. Not a lot of non-alcohol after dinner drink options. I ordered drip coffee and it was better than most I have had after dinner at supposedly nice restaurants, although it wasn't amazing. Some at our table ordered port and the bottle was humungous - a very amusing presentation. The batter was light, fluffy, and crispy, and the gochujang sauce with the mayo was sweet and sticky in the best way. Since it's a butchery, we had to try the steaks. I ordered the 4oz filet Oscar style. The meat was tender and very well seasoned, the crab was fresh, and the homemade hollandaise really pulled it all together. My husband had the ribeye. It was a flavorful cut, a little fatty (as ribeye tends to be), but exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The steaks come with a twice-baked potato and vegetable (or you can swap for different vegetables). The potato was flavorful but fairly dense. We also did the bread service - it was good, but felt a bit pricey for the portion. We ended with the flourless chocolate torte, which was very rich and the perfect way to finish the meal - especially on Valentine's Day. Overall, the food was good and the menu is solid. The quality was there, but the portions, bread service and sides didn't fully meet expectations. That said, it was still a lovely experience and a great date-night spot.

They source local ingredients- rotate lots of different seasonal specials and also have a chefs tasting menu. You can really tell they care about food quality here. Many of us did go with the Chefs Tasting menu which they are also very flexible about- meaning if a special isn't on the menu you can subsitute it, etc. You truly could put together your own tasting menu. They start the table with crackers and a blue cheese souffle. Then they also offer a plain bread with butter which is amazing! Such a nice touch! Then we got stone crab as an appetizer - which was a special and came with a mustard dipping sauce!! It was great- I just wished they cracked the stone crab a bit more as it was hard to get into. We got a variety of menu and special dishes- Tuna Tartare, Soup of the day- Mushroom, Mixed Green Salad, Spanish Octopus, Pasta special, Sea Bass special, Missouri Trout, and Porkbelly Special. Our meal started with a complimentary offering of their bleu cheese soufflé with crisps and bread service--both delicious. I enjoyed a glass of their current "by the glass" Chardonnay, and my boyfriend got a Yeungling (poured table-side). I got my scallops, as planned, which certainly did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly, fresh and delicious. The wilted romaine seemed odd at first but totally rounded out the potato mash at the base, with the absolute flavor-bomb of the shiitakes. Highly recommend this dish any day! My boyfriend opted for the NY Strip; we both agreed it was one of the best steaks we'd ever had; seasoned perfectly and cooked masterfully. There was a slight mishap whereby a food runner gave him a tasting portion of the strip (likely meant for another table); we first didn't realize and were very disappointed with the size. However, without a word from us, the chef came out and personally explained, apologized, and corrected--I didn't snap a photo of the full portion when it came out, but it was perfect and much more what we expected. That brings me to the service, which was spectacular. Several staff members gave us a personal touch and they all seemed to be genuinely happy to be there. The space is beautiful and intimate. It was moderately busy and still quiet. The atmosphere feels upscale, but not pretentious or unapproachable. This place was on my radar for a long time, and I sure wish I'd gone long ago. I went to Timothy's for the first time with a party of eight to celebrate a birthday and was very impressed. We ordered the fontina tater tots and, a special that night -- the toasted ravioli stuffed with shredded port-- as appetizer's for the table. Both were delicious, but the tater tots and the house curry ketchup were a real standout to me. I highly recommend them. Followed the appetizers with the grilled Cesar salad. Very nicely grilled and the dressing had just the right balance of anchovy. For the main course, I got featured fish, mahi-mahi. It was served over a wonderful sugar snap pea risotto. The fish was finished with brown butter and lemon zest. The fish was perfectly cooked. My wife ordered the scallop gratin appetizer for her entree and it was wonderful. I also got a small taste of the steak frites. Wow! For dessert we ordered the carrot cake fritters. Very delicious. The birthday girl was gifted a banana foster bread pudding. Everyone got a taste and it was extraordinary. The service was terrific. Attentive, but not cloying. I think I have a new favorite restaurant. I had a fantastic dining experience here! The service was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere strikes a great balance between inviting and upscale, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The food exceeded expectations across the board. I was particularly impressed with the crab cakes, which can be hit or miss at many restaurants. These were perfectly balanced--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning and minimal filler. For dessert, we tried the Bananas Foster and the Carrot Cake Cheesecake. Both were well-executed--the Bananas Foster had a rich, caramelized flavor without being overly sweet, and the Carrot Cake Cheesecake offered a great blend of spice and creaminess. The drinks are also worth mentioning; the selection is well-crafted, and the cocktails are both flavorful and well-balanced. Overall, this is a great spot for both quality food and excellent service. My wife and I had a fantastic experience at Timothy's. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a variety of delicious items, including deviled eggs, salami flatbread, Caesar salad, and steak frites. The extensive drink menu offered rare wine varieties, like Sancerre and Grüner Veltliner, and a wide range of non-alcoholic options which shows the thought and care put into the menu. The owner took great care of us, and the service was upscale and comfortable. The decor was lovely, and the staff was friendly. Amazing food and service. Beautifully decorated space, the attention to detail is incredible. Highlights for food are the lobster pot pie, burger, lamb, deviled eggs, mussels....pretty much everything we had! Fabulous wine list, great cocktails, and staff that makes you feel like you are one of the family. In these crazy Covid times, its a rarity to find the level of restaurant that Timothys is.
