There also isn't a clear menu at this location with prices at former Fort Lee location, there was. I really enjoyed the cannoli donut, the spring special: guava and cream cheese donut, the Bavarian cream filled cronut, and the cold brew infused donut - it was my favorite. It was so soft, not too strong and not too sweet. The perfect balance and the cream on top was just delectable and fluffy. I also tried the Dubai chocolate but was not a fan of the very sweet pistachio filling inside, the Italian rainbow doughnut was also very sweet, did not enjoy it. Overall, I enjoyed some of the donuts but a couple of them were too sweet for my preference. The ambience is chill. I don't really see it as a place where I'd hang out but maybe some people would! Service was fine. The woman at the counter knew all of her donut flavors and gave us some recommendations Parking is street parking so if you get there early as soon as they open up, you should be able to find parking. I can't speak for later on on the weekends or weekdays, though.

With all the old guard now in the history books I began searching for a new reliable bakery. Very first visit here and... I was on the fence. Second visit... okay, I'm a fan. Subsequent visits... actually I'm a big fan. From red velvet cookies to Sfogliatella to carrot cake - they have more than enough treats to quell your sweet tooth. The breads (the reason I find myself here most times) - incredible. Rolls (of varying sizes) as well as a damn perfect bastone (crunchy and flaky, ready to be piled high for a sandwich) not to mention... the almighty Pizza Bread?! Oh, yeah. A bit more rare to find but the only proper 'pane' if/when you're going to make an Italian hot dog. They also have a side/section with a full deli if savory is more your speed. Cool staff. Good pricing. Metered street parking but be warned... this one specific street feels more like a strip mall - with probably a dozen businesses (liquor stores to salons to fitness centers to a few restaurants to...) - all vying for those spots. (And if you ever need an icebreaker at a social gathering... tell 'em "da Vinci" wasn't actually Leonardo's last name. You're sure to be a hit at the party!)

I went here last year around Thanksgiving as I have been a big fan of this bakery for many years. I actually drive almost 30 minutes for treats to bring my family for the holidays. It was busy when I went in and a I waited in line for my turn. Once the man in front of me ordered, and the young blonde girl behind the counter called next, I went to place my order and the man in front of me mistakenly thought he could have her do the rest of his order. I still tried to get her attention, but she refused to even look at me. Here I will note that I look very different from the other patrons in the bakery at the time... take that for what it's worth. The other workers saw this happening, and didnt acknowledge how I was being ignored by this girl. The middle aged woman who works there, who I have bought from for years, then went to help the person after me... what kind of service is that? The crazy thing is the man in front of me even apologized for what he did because he was confused by what was going on, and the middle aged women STILL DID NOT HELP ME. I always thought she was a manager or owner... perhaps she doesn't like people with my skin color. Who knows. Finally, after an upsetting amount of time where I was feeling humiliated, a brown haired girl (with absolutely great eye makeup said she would help me). Good to know one decent person works there. I used to go there regularly when I worked in the area and stopped going as often, but I will never go again and have stopped recommending it to others. For the area, there are plenty of bakeries without people like this blonde girl, who would love to have a diverse group clientele who doesn't look just like them :) Avoid this place if you don't want to be treated like a second class citizen. The way I was treated was disgusting and shameful.

I ordered the Christmas Honey balls ($19.95) and the Fudge Layer Cake ($29.50) and while I disagree with the credit card fee being passed to the consumer, the quality of the product exceeds that cost. Inside the venue is a true classic bakery atmosphere and while there is usually a line, the service is brisk and moves fairly quickly. If you want to impress your holiday season guests, family or friends, the LPS is the right venue for traditional Italian baked goods and desserts! As i return to NJ for the holidays, I will make at least three or four stops at LPS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

LPS has mastered the delicate balance of old school & staying with current trends, all while maintaining the most important parts: quality & flavor! The best of the best when it comes to Italian bakeries - it's no secret why people travel far & wide to get their baked goods from here, because no celebration is complete without a box from LPS on the table. Summer isn't summer without a Yum-yum (or whatever flavor you choose) from their window. It's a Jersey kid right of passage as far as I'm concerned. Service is always kind & friendly, no matter how busy they are. They are the epitome of "neighborly" & treat each customer in kind. Overall, a Lyndhurst staple & one of our best!
