Popped in here b/c Kung Fu tea didn't have any bubbles ready, so we ended up here. 30/50/full sugar, regular/less/no ice, and medium/large sizes. They were patient and although they forgot the Oreo topping initially, figured out the brown sugar w/ tapioca bubbles + Oreo topping for the kids. No seating; they closed off part of the restaurant so it's just service at the front and a standing area while you wait on your drinks.

There must be some sort of drug in their drinks coz ive been ordering here almost every other week and sometimes even less than a week! Ugh! And you cant seem to get enough. What sorcery is this! Tell me coz its taking all of my damn money! Why are all the drinks so good? I try to buy a new one everytime and NONE have disappoint so far. NONE! Sometimes you want to be disappointed so you stop buying already but no! Even during this #quarantimes where you should just be buying essentials Gong Cha drinks here at Montclair somehow made it to my essential list. The foot tapping and hand tremors begin to start if its been too long not having one. The balance of sweetness and tea is just perfect. The Bobas are fresh and chewy even when its left in the fridge for a while. The blends are well combined and thought of. The selection of toppings are numerous and the staff are just so nice! I kept buying and drinking here i dont even have time to write this review in the first place. Now let me finish my drink and maybe I'll order again for tomorrow. Well wait, i did order already...

I don't normally get fancy drinks like this but decided why not? Seeing as how it was new and it's competitor up the street was jam packed. I got on recommendation the Lychee Slush series drink. Definitely good for a hot day as a treat. The drink was definitely sweet especially with the addition of the coconut jelly I got added to it. I like the ease of access menu you can see on the monitor near the counter. At the same time it's somewhat overwhelming with all the choices, but luckily the servers/makers are there to help with suggestions. Only thing that got me was I asked for only a little bit of topping, but got a lot. It was way too much coconut jelly. Getting the right balance I think will make the drinks better.

I was super excited that another bubble tea place opened up in Montclair. Before this place, Kung Fu Tea was the only option and for me it has always been a hit or miss. I couldn't decide what to get so I got two drinks lol. I tried the brown sugar milk tea and the fresh taro milk tea. I got both with light ice and 100% sugar. The man making my drink asked if I've had fresh taro before since many people haven't and are surprised by the texture/taste. I have before but I appreciate him asking. I really enjoy the taste of both drinks. They both taste fresh. I like how Gong Cha uses real taro instead of taro powder. However, FYI I confirmed that they do use taro powder for the taro slush. The space is on the smaller side but it's a cute place. I'm looking forward to coming here and trying out the menu!

I was really excited to learn that GongCha just opened up by Montclair. I personally love GongCha a lot more than the other bubble tea places. Parking is a little difficult but street parking a few blocks away is doable. I came here after lunch and the interior is very small in the front but expands a little with seating in the back. They have a couple of board/card games to play with others. Brown sugar milk tea: really good! Enjoyed it alot. Wish I had asked for bubbles tho. Was definitely sweet and milky. Would get again if I could. I asked for less ice and 50% brown sugar. If you check in with Yelp, you can get 1 free topping. Also 10% off by paying cash

This is the best bubble tea chain place out of any of the ones in the area. The quality of tea is so good, not like some of the other places where you can't even taste the tea or it is so watered down. I was ecstatic when I saw one had opened up in Montclair. This means I don't have to go all the way to GSP for a GongCha craving or settle for one of the subpar bubble tea places in the area. I was disappointed they don't honor the original rewards card and had started a new rewards program. I definitely recommend the original black milk tea, honey green tea, mango green tea, and taro milk tea. For toppings I love any of the jelly and the original tapioca. You can customize the level of ice and percentage of sugar you want in your drink. Also, always go for the large because the medium is too small.

My favorite bubble tea..as authentic as it gets of all bubble teas.. not Americanized as others are..have the more traditional flavors and had this abroad as well.. d some locations like this one has the app with rewards ..love the Ginger and Brown Sugar series ...and red bean matcha latte ..just a must try of bubble teas

What we ordered...

This is the first time I'm writing a review after so many times Gong Cha in Montclair have gotten our orders wrong. Every single time I/we call, it's the same response. The workers are very condescending and not apologetic at ALL. Tonight in particular I spoke to what probably was a little boy who wasn't trained in customer service, named "Justin" (let's hope he gave his real name). After I said that 3/4 of the items were wrong, he immediately said "OH, YEAH.." This guy knew the whole time the items I will be receiving were incorrect and they didn't do anything to resolve the situation immediately. I told him that he could've called and his response was, "we're VERY bussssy ma'am." WOW. He wasn't apologetic and I tell you, NOT one "I apologize" were uttered until I called him out on it. He said if I called ubereats they will give me a full refund. I asked him what I was supposed to do with all of the wrong drinks & if we're getting our actual orders & he said, "well, you can drink it ma'am." After I called him out on his sass, sarcasm, and rudeness, he said, "I apologize if that's how you take it but I wasn't being rude." UNBELIEVABLE. I called again for the 2nd time to get his name and asked if the manager was there. He said, "no but I can take a message." I said, "can you let him know how rude you were to me this evening?". I kid you not but he said "sure, I will let him know but I wasn't rude." BROOOO! In what world is this okay GONG CHA? This wasn't the first time. When gong cha first opened this kept happening and we just let it go because we thought the employees are new, they're getting acclimated and they're probably super busy. Almost a year later it's still the same and it has just gotten worse. Maybe the busyness got to your heads? I'm done with you guys. What a POOR representation of the company/brand. Justin, you should be ashamed of your attitude. If the guy I spoke with wasn't lying, his name is Justin and the manager's name is Allen Kim.

The interior is well-decorated, with a decent amount of seating and tables, offering a comfortable space for both small groups and individuals to relax and enjoy their drinks. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of flavors, which made choosing a bit of a fun challenge. I decided to try a few different drinks: the Matcha Bubble Tea, Taro Bubble Tea, and Strawberry Mango Bubble Tea. I also ordered the Strawberry Banana Crepes with Nutella. The Taro Bubble Tea was a standout, packed with flavor and loaded with fresh boba. It had the perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness without being overly sugary, which I appreciated. The Matcha Bubble Tea was also delicious, with a pronounced matcha flavor that felt authentic rather than artificial. However, it was a bit grainy. If it had been smoother, it would have been an exceptional drink, but the real matcha taste still made it worthwhile. The Strawberry Mango Bubble Tea was another enjoyable choice. Although the flavor was more obviously artificial compared to the other two, it was still light and refreshing, without being overly sweet like many bubble teas from larger chains such as Kung Fu Tea. The sweetness levels across all the drinks were perfect, allowing the flavors to shine without being masked by too much sugar. To accompany the bubble teas, I ordered the Strawberry Banana Crepes with Nutella, which was a great choice. The crepe was generously filled with Nutella, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and bananas. It was a hit, especially with my girlfriend, who really enjoyed the dessert. Service was good, and the prices were reasonable, making it a solid option for a casual treat. The only minor issue I encountered was with the straws. They weren't quite big enough to easily suck up the larger boba pearls, especially in the matcha bubble tea. This could pose a slight choking hazard, as I had to really work to get the boba through the straw. Thankfully, this wasn't an issue with the taro or strawberry mango bubble teas, but it's something they should address. Overall, Boba Bliss is a great spot for anyone craving delicious bubble tea, crepes, or waffles. I highly recommend it for its tasty drinks, satisfying desserts, and pleasant atmosphere.

My friends and I ordered their toter tots, crispy chicken and chocolate bubble waffles with milk tea ice cream to share and I ordered their jasmine tea with cheese foam. Our order was ready a lot quicker than I had expected. The taiwanese crispy chicken was crispy, juicy and tender as they used chicken thighs for it. It was also well seasoned and tasted authentic. The tater tots were also perfectly fried as it was super crispy and they were sprinkled with the same seasoning as the chicken. The bubble waffle was the biggest surprise for me as I have never found a place that does it right (texture wise). This is the place! The waffle was crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside and the batter wasn't too floury as I have often found in other places. But that could also be because we ordered chocolate flavor so I should try their original next time. My only complaint is it didn't have enough chocolate taste for me. The milk tea ice cream, although wasn't the best I've had but it's decent and you can still taste the tea. My jasmine tea with cheese foam was fragrant and the cheese foam complimented the tea well and didn't make it overly filling. Overall, I really enjoyed everything I've ordered here and it's perfect for a mid day or late night snack and drink. I have been to other locations in the area and thought they're not as good as this one so I will have to come back to this location especially for their bubble waffles.
