This is an iconic spot in Ogden. Sure, it's a blast from the past with the over-the-top decorations, but the food is great! I always order the half serving of prime rib and the food is served quickly. Timbermine is a well oiled machine

We heard great things about this place so we wanted to check it out. The service was good and the atmosphere was fun and as if you're in the gold rush and we're seating in a mine with trees outside. We got French bread to start. Then we ordered the shrimp cocktail for appetizer. We got our salads, which were mediocre. I ordered the Ore Car and my husband ordered The Prospector, 16oz. While my food was good, my husband's steak was probably mostly fat. At least half of it was fat and for $36, that's disappointing. It was a good thing I was full and was able to give him 1/2 of my skewer meat. To be honest though, we like Prairie Schooner Steak House better. Same type of atmosphere but the food is better. At least that's our experience.

Our prime ribeye steak, clams in broth entrees were fantastic. My Wagyu skirt steak was absolutely delicious - tender and flavorful. Sides were just ok for our tastes. Churros dessert was a little overcooked but they did bring out a complimentary chocolate cake to celebrate our birthday. Haden, our server, was patient and knowledgeable of the menu. Really helped us understand the options. He also checked in with us to ensure we were happy! They also have enclosed individual "greenhouses" seating on their patio if that interests you.

We ordered a variety of dishes fish and chips, clams, crusted squash blossom + crab, clam chowder and shrimp scampi. Most of the food was very tasty, and the variety made it a fun meal to share. The fish and chips and squash blossom stood out as favorites. That said, both the clams and the shrimp scampi had a slight metallic flavor, which took away a bit from otherwise good dishes. Everything else was enjoyable, and the overall experience was still solid. Great service, nice ambiance, and mostly delicious food. A strong 4-star experience, and we'd be open to coming back to try other dishes.

I reached out to the manager about hosting our daughter's birthday dinner, and what followed was flawless execution. We pre planned everything including named seating, small decor, and pre ordered courses, and the team came prepared with a spreadsheet and complete confidence. The service felt almost choreographed. Plates moved through the dining room effortlessly, every dish arrived hot, perfectly timed, and beautifully presented. There truly is not one thing at WildFin that is not delicious. Each course somehow outdid the last, and the pacing was impeccable. The staff was attentive without hovering, thoughtful, and more dialed in than anywhere else I could have chosen to celebrate her. I have celebrated my own birthday at WildFin before, when friends surprised me by calling ahead and having the bill comped, so I already knew this team handled special requests with care. This experience only confirmed it. We are originally from Las Vegas, where hospitality sets a different standard, and WildFin meets and exceeds those expectations. Now that we live in Northern Utah, this is the only place we will bring friends and family when we want outstanding food and exceptional service. Thank you to Dan and the entire WildFin team. You gave our daughter a night she will remember forever.

As you step inside, you can immediately tell that the establishment is well managed. Everything is beautiful and the staff and quick to welcome you with a smile and seat you. They welcome you a cold glass bottle of filtered water. Make sure you sit outside at shaded table near the fountain. Even in 90-degree-weather days, the coolness from the fountains splashing and numerous nearby trees and bushes make the experience very pleasant with even a slight breeze. The entrees are reasonably priced and very tempting, it's a challenge to choose what to eat. My suggestion? Give the wait staff an idea of your favorites and ask them to make a suggestion. Both times I've been here, I ordered what they suggested and it was amazing. The seafood, sauces and flavors are elegant and well executed. They have lots of options for seafood lovers and those who love it less. On my latest trip, I got the Prawn Scampi. The spaghettini noodles were cooked al dente, the butter garlic sauce was delicious, and when you combined them with a grape tomato, a part of the asparagus heart, and one of the prawns it was a taste symphony! A tip! Sometimes they have special where if you show them a ticket to a movie at the nearby Cinemark theater, they'll give you a free appetizer. I got the Seafood Chowder. It was rich, thick and savory with small chunks of scallops and fish with corn, onion, and bacon. Delicious!

We visited on a Sunday and were charged full dinner price, even though it was lunchtime--but most of what was available felt like leftover lunch items. The food was cold, dried out, and honestly not appetizing at all. The meat was especially tough and hard to chew, which made it even worse. The biggest letdown was the crab legs. We were repeatedly told they'd be out in "10 minutes," but we waited over 30 minutes. When they finally brought some out, there was barely anything--just a few pieces--and they were gone almost instantly. Definitely not what was advertised. The restaurant itself was clean, but it felt pretty rundown and not well maintained. Several food areas were empty, including desserts, and the drink machines were nearly out or barely working. As I was getting ready to leave, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and walked in and it was disgusting. It smelled like throw up, and it looked like somebody had thrown up. One of the most frustrating parts was the drinks. As soon as you sit down, they immediately come to your table and ask what you want to drink, which makes it seem like it's included--but sodas are actually charged separately. It felt very misleading, so just be aware of that. Overall, the whole experience felt disappointing and poorly managed. We will not be returning and would not recommend this place.

The service also was decent as our drinks were filled often and our dishes were hauled away However, That's where my positive experience ends. The food later gave me and my friend a bad case of food poisoning. I won't go into too much detail but I've spent time in the bathroom with a separate garbage can. None of the food looked fresh. It had that look of being passable. To be fair, I'm going to assume they were going to be closing up shop soon so they probably chose not to prepare any more food that evening. Most of the sushi was questionable they definitely had that fake taste like from the tuna and the selection was very sparse. Perhaps the worst of it was one of the gyozas I had was the filling literally tasted like bleach in one of them. My hope was at my friend and I came on a night that was very off for them. It took many hours of my stomach to calm down finally. I'm sure if we went on another night things might improve, but to be honest at this first experience will likely be my last experience.
