One very nice employee doing everything, other than that it was GOOD! Very generous portions!

    Sweet and sour sauce

I know this restaurant is really trying but I have to tell you one thing to refrain from (unless you like your meal saturated in too much oil and your shrimp extremely soggy). Ordered the Combo Meal A which comes with 2 egg rolls, 2 crab cheese wontons, ham fried rice, choice of soup (I went with hot and sour) and your main entree. I chose shrimp with garlic sauce for mine. First the positives. The egg rolls, crab cheese wontons (they also they come with a side of sweet and sour sauce), ham fried rice, and soup were good. You receive decent size portions of both the soup and ham fried rice. The shrimp with garlic sauce was absolutely horrible! Oversaturated in nothing but fattening greasy oil that you could taste. I honestly could not even swallow a full bite. The shrimp was extremely soggy and made me wonder how "fresh" it actually was. There were some random vegetables thrown in but I really couldn't decipher a flavor from any of it other than oil! It was disgusting to say the least. Usually I get a fortune cookie too with my orders but nothing to be found tonight. Sadly maybe I didn't need a "good fortune" anyways since this meal was an out of pocket disposal. I've tried their seafood boils and they are pretty good. Shrimp is always questionable though (in regards to freshness, etc). The meal sells for $19.99 and if you like what you're ordering, then you definitely get your money's worth. Other than that, I just really DO NOT recommend the awful shrimp with garlic sauce.

As you step inside, you can immediately tell that the establishment is well managed. Everything is beautiful and the staff and quick to welcome you with a smile and seat you. They welcome you a cold glass bottle of filtered water. Make sure you sit outside at shaded table near the fountain. Even in 90-degree-weather days, the coolness from the fountains splashing and numerous nearby trees and bushes make the experience very pleasant with even a slight breeze. The entrees are reasonably priced and very tempting, it's a challenge to choose what to eat. My suggestion? Give the wait staff an idea of your favorites and ask them to make a suggestion. Both times I've been here, I ordered what they suggested and it was amazing. The seafood, sauces and flavors are elegant and well executed. They have lots of options for seafood lovers and those who love it less. On my latest trip, I got the Prawn Scampi. The spaghettini noodles were cooked al dente, the butter garlic sauce was delicious, and when you combined them with a grape tomato, a part of the asparagus heart, and one of the prawns it was a taste symphony! A tip! Sometimes they have special where if you show them a ticket to a movie at the nearby Cinemark theater, they'll give you a free appetizer. I got the Seafood Chowder. It was rich, thick and savory with small chunks of scallops and fish with corn, onion, and bacon. Delicious!

Had the Classic Maine Lobster Tail and 7 oz Grilled Sirloin Steak as my main entree's. Requested hush puppies and Chesapeake Fries as my sides. As for the two shrimp choices, I chose Grilled Shrimp and Garlic Shrimp Scampi. First of all, the Shrimp was 10/10! No complaints whatsoever. The 7 oz Grilled Sirloin Steak was requested well done and still had a ton of pink meat inside which made it completely inedible to me. Chesapeake Fries were layered at the very bottom making them completely soggy. Hush puppies were a welcome surprise and would rate a 10/10 on those. It also came with warm melted butter and fresh lemon slices and ketchup packets for the fries. The Orzo rice included was absolutely divine! It is an expensive meal but if you love seafood like myself I'd definitely recommend it! Everything did taste fresh all things considering.

My wife and I had not visited in years and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly, attentive, and wonderful with our kids. Our hostess, Gaby, went above and beyond with her warmth and hospitality. The food was delicious. Our kids loved trying lobster for the first time and they could not get enough of the cheddar biscuits, which they even said were better than Texas Roadhouse rolls. To make the birthday extra special, the staff sang happy birthday, brought out a giant ice cream goblet with a candle, and decorated the plate with a cute lobster design in strawberry and chocolate syrup. They also presented a hand-signed card from the entire team. As a fun bonus, the kids got to handle a real lobster and received personalized certificates. A huge thank you to the Layton Red Lobster staff for making my daughter's birthday so memorable. We cannot wait to come back.
