We came here for a late lunch with the kids before going to the park. I've got 3 sushi obsessed kids and was worried about how much it would cost with a teenager and two kids but the lunch specials were really good and nobody left hungry. My youngest got the sashimi lunch and they accidentally made the nigiri lunch, so they remade it and he enjoyed both. He's 4 and made a serious dent in both of them. The rest of us got the 3 roll daily special and it was perfect. I need gluten free and they were very accommodating. He even let me know that there were changes they could make to the bento box if that's what I chose to make, but to simplify, I went with the sushi. I highly recommend the sweet vegetarian roll. I don't remember the name of it, but it was the best roll! We definitely got out for a great price for five people and will come back again if we're in the area. The service was phenomenal. Gavin was our server. He answered all our questions and had a smile even with all the difficult questions. It's a great location with lots of seating and a few neat art pieces on the wall. They could do better, our waiter was so kind and he tried to do everything he could to help. My green tea tasted disgusting, the tea pot was very obviously dirty. It had a coating all over it that i could scratch off with my fork. It smelt and tasted unlike any green tea i have had before. The rolls were improperly rolled, rice was crumbling off as soon as the chopsticks touched them. Some rolls hardly had enough rice on them to cover the seaweed. My aunt found a bone in her sunset roll, and it was big. In my 19 years of eating sushi, this has never happened to me. The owner tried to make it better by bringing another roll and mochi. But nothing was to be fixed, we were all already disgusted. We didnt even want to eat the rolls anymore. The sushi chefs and maybe their dish washer need better training. This was my aunts favorite sushi place for a long time, but it has gone downhill. It also seems as if theyre team was failing to clean off dirty tables, we sat there for an hour waiting for our food. Soooo good!! As you can see, we ordered quite a few rolls. All of them were sooo good! Food tasted fresh. Drinks were sooo good. We ordered green tea and Pinapple Thai tea. Half of us just ordered the nicer rolls. The other half of us did the lunch special. $11.99 for 2 rolls or $16.99 for 3. Super good deal. Waitress was pretty nice and kept our drinks full. (The soft drinks) The ambience is nice. Very clean restaurant. You can sit against the glass and watch them prepare your sushi. Which I thought was pretty nice. Love the location too. The food was great! The service was slow and extremely lacking. We went in with 6 people that ordered an appetizer and 2 rolls per person. It took almost 2 hours to get our food and drinks. My wine glass that finally came was dirty with lipstick on the rim. When I could finally get the attention of our waitress she said she could get it replaced out but she wasn't old enough to serve it for us. So I waited another 20 minutes to get a replacement. Then when the food finally came the waitress failed to put in our order for the appetizer!! Long story short. Many people that came in after us were served and leaving at the same time as we did!! My wife and i stopped by here to eat randomly and enjoyed it. The ambience is very nice and peaceful inside. The food came out flavorful , hot and fresh. One of the worst experiences I've had with sushi They gave me a roll that was flimsy and I couldn't even hold the whole thing on a fork!! I am only used to eating at sushi restaurants in Manhattan NYC and Sushi Monster is a sharp contrast to me, an Americanized version, with giant rolls drenched in sauces, often sweetened and over stuffed with ingredients with many fried ingredients as options. That said, if you think of this as a different cuisine than real Japanese food, I found it enjoyable and the ingredients appear fresh. We had the summer roll and rainbow roll amongst others. The fried rice came out hard and crunchy, teriyaki chicken cold like if it came out of the fridge, the sushi absolutely mushy and not good quality fish. Got ignored for any needs we had. Took their time to get our check to the point we had to get up ourselves ask for it and pay for it upfront when they bring it to you. Absolutely delicious dinner! We had the Calamari and it was cooked perfectly, nice flavor and tender. My hubby and I came out for dinner and saw this place tucked away in a corner. The service was great, didn't have to wait at all for a table, our food came out in a timely manner. I got the Eel roll with mango, lots of flavor that made me want more! Clean look inside the restaurant. Their sushi rolls were bigger than I expected. Prices were reasonable. Really enjoyed the Mexican roll, this was one of my top deep fried sushi here. Had a lot of flavor with a kick. Other two rolls I got were okay like your typical sushi we have tried else where. I got the tuna takati and expected there to be more flavor. The cucumber is like picked but it sort of tasted watered down from cucumber and the tuna didn't really have much flavor. But was wasn't too bad but definitely not something I would get again. Everything started off great we were seated in a timely manner and got our orders in quickly . There was hardly anyone in the restaurant yet it did take quite a bit to get our food. Considering there wasn't much people in dining when we were there the service wasn't great. Everyone around us managed to get checked on but us. We never got checked on once and some of the other tables were getting checked on multiple times and with multiple refills. Just a bit disappointed that we got forgotten about. It's been a while since I last dined at Sushi Monster so I was curious to see how the food and pricing has held up over the last few years. After being seated quickly, we were greeted by a super friendly server who took our drink orders. The manager or owner delivered the drinks and she too was really nice. We ordered dinner, mine consisting of the deluxe sushi dinner while my wife ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer and a BMW roll. My platter had ten nicely sized nigiri pieces, each with a large piece of fish of five types. All were fresh and really tasty. My wife's tempura was enough that it was almost a meal in itself. So she shared quite a bit of her food with me, which I had no problem accepting. All in all, I was really pleased with my dinner which for $20 seemed to be a good value for so much nigiri. The tempura and roll at $13 were also reasonable in cost compared to other sushi places. And it seems they gave more solid fish rather than ground up fish as is found in so many other places. I'll be back, hopefully sooner than it was between my last visit and this one. read more

My partner and I go here every time we come to station park because of their reasonable prices and great food. I always get the steak noodles (about $12) and every time the steak is perfectly medium rare and the noodles are incredible.
