In regards to Sashimi, you honestly cannot go wrong with any of them! You can actually taste the smoky flavor in the smoked salmon which I've yet to find anywhere else that tastes this good. Ranging from $2.99-6.99. You also have the option to order off their menu. When you do it is delivered by a robot car on top of the sushi buffet. It's a cool concept how this all works. Service was decent. It felt slow to get our waters and our check though the waitress was very friendly and never made a mistake on anything we ordered. It's great that the sushi is buffet style because your speed to eat is at your own discretion. Overall it was a great experience. In fact she's the reason we didn't get up and walk out initially as our gut instinct told us after looking at the conveyor belt options, while we waited for a third party to join us. My daughter tried the squid sashimi and spent the next day at urgent care and the following day at Ogden Regional ER thus ruining her vacation from AK and wasting $775 in healthcare payments thus far (before ER tacks on follow-on doctor bills, labs, remainder facility costs, etc.). Both my son and I were extremely ill, but we didn't have the squid sashimi, so that was probably our saving grace. It seems that these dishes are being "re-cycled" off the conveyor belt at different serving periods. Case in point: I grabbed one dish that was pretty much just a typical CA roll, but filled with "spicy" imitation crab instead of plain crab. The rice was dry and crumbly, the seaweed was soggy, and the avocado was black. I tried to pick up a piece off the plate and the piece literally crumbled/disintegrated--not from freshness. It was so old it wouldn't stay together when I tried to dip it in soy-wasabi; it just fell apart. Similarly, the gyzos were absolutely cold - not luke-warm, but congealed fat cold consistency. We also noticed that the cantaloupe was overly ripe in one bowl (i.e., appeared like it was rotting) while the second bowl choice was unripe (i.e., more white with a hint of orange color); we thought why bother to put those two bowls on the conveyor belt? No one would grab either one. What it did alert us to is quality control checks or lack thereof. If the kitchen has no qualms about blatantly putting those out for public consumption, what "day-olds" are they hiding or tucking into unseen items? I wouldn't order directly from the kitchen, who knows what you'll get with that kind of QC. Simply put, conveyor belt sushi in a land locked state is a big pass. Hind sight is 20/20. This was a really unfortunate experience. My first few rolls were okay, I also tried the shrimp shumai which was not really a good item to be left on a conveyor belt since it got cold and oily, and I felt like the prices were so disappointing; $7 for 4 pieces of sunset roll is pretty wild as it is, but then I pulled a hair from the middle of the roll and it really put the nail in the coffin. I couldn't get the image of hair being in all the rolls on the belt out of my head and I had to call it quits. The saving grace was the server who was very kind and took all my rolls off the check. What I love about conveyer belt sushi is you get to try a lot of different rolls because you are only grabbing a plate with a couple of pieces of sushi. I keep a spreadsheet of the rolls we have tried with a rating so that on subsequent visits, we don't take the one stars off the belt. The top rated rolls for us are Angel, Playboy, Sunrise, Buddha, Santa Fe, and Baked Scallop. I love the citrus and bright flavors of the Sunrise, this one doesn't feel heavy. You know how sometimes you order gyoza and mostly what is good about it is that it is a deep fried thing you can dip into a delicious sauce? Not the case here. The Gyoza is incredible! Want to first mention that I drove all the way from Utah valley to Ogden just to try this place out. Overall I do like having a place like this in Utah. The bullet train and conveyor belt reminds me of home. The sushi quality wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. The rolls were basically all California rolls with different tweaks. The rare rolls with sushi meat on top had exceptionally thin pieces of meat and all rolls were drenched in sauce. I did however fell in love with their caramel salmon nigiri! It was amazing. They basically put sugar on top of raw salmon and torch it, then added Japanese mayo sauce. I had probably 5 dishes of those. The other thing that really bothered me was that when I ordered sashimi, they came back 20 mins later saying that they were actually out. I have never been to a sushi place where they were out of fish. I hope that in the future the store will put more effort in making quality sushi. Ogden (and Utah's) first sushi conveyor was a fun experience! Place was super clean, the help was extremely friendly. The movement of the conveyor and watching the people actively participate in their own meal adds a "vibe" that is kind of cool and exciting. You are seated at a table or a booth, all are adjacent to a conveyor belt that is slowly bringing food, drinks, and snacks around to you. Signage is very clear on what is coming and the price of the items. They are all on color coded plates to key you in to pricing as well. There was a HUGE variety of items and we sampled quite a few that we really liked. Nigiri, rolls, sides, eggrolls, etc. All had good representation. We liked that we could pace ourselves. Instead of ordering 4,5, or 6 rolls and having a ton of sushi hit the table at the same time, we could sample and try different things. The amount of an item on a plate was just enough that if you liked it you got a good helping and if you didn't, you weren't wasting a ton. They also have an ala carte menu to order items you may not see on the belt. There's a cute little train that brings it right to you and that is just as fun for the adults as the kids. They deliver Boba on that thing as well and there are some curves I didn't think it would make. But it did? Pricing was extremely reasonable and we were very pleased with the price tag on the amount of sushi we ate. This isn't high-end, designer sushi. My friends and I drove all the way up North to Ogden to try out the first ever revolving sushi bar in Utah. We were all excited because we always traveled out of state to have revolving sushi. After making the drive, this sushi place is located within a shopping plaza, so there's a lot of parking available around the sides and front of the building. We sat around the outside of the conveyor belt, so that all of us had access to it rather than at a table on the inside. As I was looking at the sushi, the pieces of sushi and nigiri did not look too appetizing. Some looked dry and others were not available almost the whole time we were there until the end. I am a big fan of salmon nigiri, but by the time it finally reached the end of the conveyor belt line, there was always never any left. The pieces that weren't being chosen looked like they had been out for a while. The cute train comes by whenever you special order a dish. It comes from the sushi chef station to where you're sitting and back around. Trying this place out once was enough for me. We all had come with such high excitement for the first revolving sushi bar and drove almost an hour to try it out, but the quality was pretty disappointing and the prices per dish was not worth it.
