Unfortunately the food today was weak, lacking, and certainly not what this restaurant is capable of. The Unagi Don Eel was the highest I've paid thus far and the weakest for the price point in regards to quality and quantity. Honestly it just flat out tasted awful. I've never been unable to finish anything in regards to eel, but today was the exception. Was really looking forward to trying the Quail Egg Sashimi here since they don't offer Mussel Shooters. Forget it! I don't even know why they would think it's acceptable to throw them on a completely different item that I ordered. Very disappointing. Baked Mussels were well undercooked today and inedible to eat. I tried the Scott Roll (it has no rice and is supposed to be spicy...at least I can say it was)! Quail Egg were thrown on top of the Scott Roll which was, like I said, a disappointment. Restaurant wasn't even busy and I spent a good Red Lobster Seafood Fest amount ($60+) just for lunch, so I'd think they would've taken better care of me and the others. They are great, website is easily accessible and navigating the menu was a breeze, thanks to the GLUTEN FREE SUSHI SECTION. I was pleased with the selection and price, and the website offers it's own Online order option. Which is wonderful because I hate food delivery service and the way they trick you into using the service with a promotion, then overcharge you, unless you PAY for some membership, which doesn't really make it cheaper. I think Uber eats is probably the most annoying in that way. I believe I used them to deliver food from this great establishment, promising 40% off and no delivery fee.. somehow I still paid $25 for two rolls. The ACTUAL COST of the food is decent though and my order itself with Sakura was amazing. Every detail was perfectly addressed and it was fresh, quality food. I'll be dining there again for sure, just not using any delivery service to get my food. read more

Great price and very high-quality sushi! This place is adorable and has many affordable sushi rolls under $5 so you can order and try multiple! My favorites: the spicy tuna hand roll which has amazing crunchy things in it, sweet potato veggie roll because of its delicious crunch, and the spicy salmon roll because the flavors are very well balanced! Their sashimi was high quality - something that is easy to test any sushi restaurant by. Their pure raw ingredients. Great service - very chill atmosphere, it was a blizzard when I went in so not very busy. The recommendation was also great I had another very good roll - the juve I believe. They have an extensive list of combos for rolls - I'm sure you can find one that will be right up your alley. Definitely worth checking these guys out. read more

We typically do Tona while in Ogden, but I'm currently having to eat less tuna and it felt sad to spend so much while not partying on the best fish. Sakura was a more affordable option with lots of good choices on the menu! I got Spicy Girl, Ninja, and Axiom rolls. I'd ordered a tuna roll as a hand roll and it came as maki, but that's not the end of the world! The kids love getting the chicken teriyaki here, but it's not flavorful enough for the adults in my fam. Stick to the sushi here, it's delicious. With all the good reviews, my husband & I were excited to try Sakura. We've lived in Japan so we love our Japanese food. We ordered the tempura appetizer, a nigiri plate and a roll. Unfortunately the tempura was a heavier batter and tasted oily. The rice they use was just- bad, for lack of a better word. It was dry, almost crunchy, and we were surprised it even stuck together to make sushi. The fish was decently fresh and had no complaints about the fish. Me and my girlfriend ate here for a Friday date night do to the fact that there was no wait! We quickly got seated and ordered. The staff was kind but not very friendly in the sense that they didn't say much. With how little people there were it took a surprising amount of time to get our food. The food was lacking in flavor, and was overly fishy. One thing we really liked about this place was the size of the sushi. It was smaller then most making eating a piece a lot more manageable.
