I really like this place better than any others serving the same style of food. They also have the big rush problem. Soup and salad are served together and you are very rushed. Don't expect to sit and enjoy your meal as that is not allowed. The food is always good and the steaks are great. Keep an eye on the chef as they tend to overcook fish and shell fish. We arrived on a Friday night while we were in town for Meeple Treks. We were able to walk as the building was next door to our hotel, but there is street parking nearby and a free parking garage for shoppers a couple blocks west that you could use. The decor was amazing. Everything was set up with a fun Japanese theme and people were wearing holiday outfits to add to the festive mood. Our server was attentive and friendly and our grill chef put on a wonderful show with fire and catching food in our mouths and answering any questions we had. I got the teppanyaki salmon and it was cooked to perfection with savory meat and veggies that were not dry, and the noodles were good quality. It was a LOT of food. You will very likely get takeout boxes. Overall it was pricey but very fun and great for a special occasion or if you have not tried the teppanyaki grill experience before. read more

Teppan chef made my Shrimp Teppanyaki with teriyaki sauce, instead of margarine and lemon. When we took the server, she talked to the chef and he stated that he always makes it with teriyaki sauce! Very unacceptable! Also, when the vegetables were cooked everyone got an equal amount served. My entree was the Vegetable Dinner. Disappointed, my potion was the same as everyone else! This place is an absolute blast! The experience is as good as the food. They are very good about recognizing any celebration you might be having. We went in my husband's memory and it was the first time my brother and friend's kids had been to a place like this. Their eyes were lit up the whole time. First time taking the littles (5.5yrs and 4yrs) to a teppanyaki place and they LOVED IT! We got there around 5:45pm on a Friday and the wait was only about five minutes. This is one of the only five star reviews I have ever given out. That is because how awesome our chef was. He was one of the best teppanyaki chefs I have ever seen. He was kind and really involved the kids a lot in his act. He did stuff that I had never seen a chef do with his knife, the eggs, and the rice. The fried soft shell crab sushi roll I got was fantastic too. I very much enjoyed my experience here. My one negative is our waiter was no where to be seen half the time and when our plates and glasses became clutter it was hard to eat my meal because of all the dishes in the way. Usually if someone is throwing things at my face I get offended. At Tokyo Station it is shrimp and I bark for it like a seal pup. The newest show grill in town resides in the Junction and is a fine addition to what is becoming less of a culinary waste land. A great option for a group dining experience or a meal before / after the movies. The house is divided in to 3 sections. Grills, tables, sushi bar. You can interchange and order anything from anywhere but you obviously need to sit at the grill to get the show. Grill: Great selection of red meats, chicken, and seafood cooked with a show. My 4 year old was dazzled at the showmanship of our chef and I will be attempting Sunday morning breakfast in similar styles of egg cracking. Everything was cooked as ordered and the flavors were fantastic. This, coupled with the great attitude of our chef, made for a great dining experience. Sushi: We tried several rolls and some nigiri. Very fresh and beautiful presentation. This is definitely not an "after thought" and I will be going back to spend time at the bar to dig deeper. A few things to note. They are new and busy. Call ahead for reservations. Without reservations you will be waiting a while but there is adequate space and comfort. If you're sitting at the grill, come to have fun. We're not talking the Shamu show at SeaWorld, but it is still a show. read more

We went 7/15 around 7:10pm. We called and we were told no wait. They made us wait because I guess it's easier sit 6 than 2. Waitress was friendly, but she forgot to turn the grill on. We ordered and were told after waiting for 25 min about the grill and he would be out shortly. At 8:10 we asked how long because we had a movie at 8:45. They said it takes 30 min so you'll probably be late. The host or I think manager then says come to the front so I can charge you for what you ate...which was the salad/soup that came for the meal, our drinks (never even got a refill), my husband sushi roll; never got our appetizer. We paid $24.70. Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I can't even believe this. Unfortunately I won't be able to eat dinner now because celiac disease. My calamari was so tough I literally had to cut in pieces which in my opinion should be served in the ring not the tube looking thing. We ordered takeout here earlier this month, and while the ordering process was immensely difficult, the food was delightful. No one answered the phones, so we had to order over there website, which didn't have all of the rolls listed in their menu. They also have a limit for quantity of rolls you can put in one order, so we had to split ours into two. We weren't worried about the extra delivery charge, but it was disappointing that half of our food ended up being delayed an hour despite going to the same address. Again, all this to say, the sushi is second only to Tona, and it was delicious, and totally worth the hassle of the ordering and delivery issues. read more

Tokyo Station, you are stationed not only in Ogden, but in my heart and mind. This down to earth, East-meets-West fusion teppan (steel board) eatery is one of my favorite places in Ogden - for the food, equally as much (if not more so) for the fun. Eating here is an adventure - it is the perfect atmosphere for celebrations, happiness, and other joyous occasions - with performing tricks as if you are in a culinary cirque de sole-(fill)et. I like that it is not commercialized like your typical Benihana or Tanaka of Tokyo chain. This place is so much more... (1) First, the restaurant is open, spacious, inviting and tastefully decorated. The high ceilings, open floor plan and concrete modern slabs merge with additions of Japanese bamboo, flowers, and zen pillars to make for an ideal location to watch a show - and eat the show at the same time. (2) Second, the array of menu items is quite astounding. The menu of sushi rolls alone is likely the menu size of your average restaurant in Utah, and the creativity that goes into each roll does not disappoint. (3) Third, the organization, diligence, and raw kindness of the service (and sacrifice) that comes with the delivery of the "Tokyo Station" experience is simply amazing. The staff there truly appear to be one cohesive, happy family, which adds to the joy of eating there. (4) Fourth, the Teppanyaki itself if truly enjoyable, with the chef catering to every persons dietary restrictions, requests, needs and greatest desires. All delivered with a smile - and a fun trick or two. He infrequent are fresh and prepared daily - the vegetables crisp and the meat tender. (5) The skills of the Teppan chefs is brilliant - no mistake was made the entire show - from cracking the egg on the edge of the metal spatula, to forming the volcano and fried rice heart, it was truly a blessing to witness the great culinary skills that Tokyo Station boasts. Didn't have a ton of vegetarian options, but not too bad. And the food tasted amazing! And of course, so fun to see all of the tricks.

Staff was professional. Chef was nice & friendly. Atmosphere and decor were very nice. Food was not good. I think the sauce that was supposed to be Soy Sauce which the chef generously squeezed on every item, was either bad because it was left out too long, or it was mixed with something else awful tasting. The metal of the grill left a flavor on everything too. The fried rice tasted awful, the veggies were awful, and the steak & shrimp tasted like everything else. I also had some Taco Nigiri pieces. That too was absolutely not fresh and tasted awful. I've been to several Tepanyaki places and most of them are fairly good. This one was by far the least of any as far as food taste went. read more
