Food is incredible and all the chefs I've had the pleasure of being served by are charismatic and witty and professional.

Ate here the other day i was really excited until i got home and tasted the sushi it was very bland nothing to it. I couldn't taste anything just raw fish. But at least put some salt on it. Not to mention for two rolls with only 6-7 pieces was almost 30 bucks. And after a few bites i started to feel sick ! Please do better. Thanks anyways read more

It's your typical food that is cooked on the grill, which is all the same flavor. The food was really bad. My son ordered the expensive seafood with lobster and after he ate half he had to go throw-up in the bathroom. He got sick and my dish was horrible. I will never go there again. I am a tourist on vacation and I am enjoying being in Ogden. I have eaten at a number of restaurants while staying here based on yelp reviews. Tokyo station service is horrible. The restaurant was almost empty except for the live cooking show tables. The manager made us wait for over 15 minutes to be seated never asking us if we wanted to eat meat or chicken. We only wanted to eat sushi. He eventually guided us to the chief table and we told him we didn't want to sit there because we didn't want to eat that food. He sat us at a both on of only two table sitting in the open space. The waitress came and took our orders for drinks and an appetizer. Well to end this story after 15 minutes of not receiving our drinks we just picked up our stuff and left. The manager looked at us and said sorry. Would I give this place a second chance when I come back next ski season, no! read more

The food you get at the grill is delicious. The filet mignon was some of the best meat I have ever tasted. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. The chicken was perfectly cooked as well. The meal comes with soup and salad as an appetizer which both are really simple but really good. There is a lot of dressing on the salad but it is really good and sweet. It pairs perfectly with the saltiness of the soup they serve. I have tried both and I definitely like the noodles better than the fried rice. They are way more flavorful. My husband went to Tokyo station on 2/16 for a night out without our baby, and it ended in disappointment. We arrived to the table last, there were two other couples there who had already ordered, so we sat and ordered drinks and an appetizer. The chef came out, started cooking and doing his show, and we realized that the other couples were getting their food put on their plates but we weren't... the waiter had come and talked to us more than once since the chef arrived so we assumed he saw our plates were empty. We thought maybe since we were seated last our food was coming from the kitchen or something. At the end of the "show" the waiter stopped at our table again, and stared at us looking confused. He then told us he never gave the chef our order. So, we just asked for our bill and decided to go somewhere else. We thought he might offer to comp the drinks and appetizer, but nope.. we paid and left, with no dinner. Waste of a babysitter. read more

Talk about a sad experience. We've been here multiple times and we've always had a decent experience, nothing special but not bad. Tonight though? A Friday night and every step of the experience was bad. The initial phone call to find out the wait time was frustrating when the guy just kept talking over my husband's questions to the point that we just hung up. Upon arriving we were given a 5 minute wait, but then we waited for about 15 minutes. No big deal. We were sat and our very stressed waiter said he would be right with us, 10 minutes later another waitress came up and asked if we'd been helped, we technically hadn't so she got us drinks for him. When he did arrive he took what seemed like an eternity trying to figure out how I could order a vegetarian Vegas roll. We finalized on just asking for the Vegas roll, no meat, sub extra veggies. My husband ordered, and we moved on. We waited while most of the restaurant went empty and most things were being cleaned before we got our food, then our server refilled our 7up glasses with water, assuming they were. We had to explain to him that it was 7up and re-explain that they were BOTH 7up before he changed them out. Then when I started on my roll I noticed that in fact the meat had been left out but not a single extra vegetable was added. So I ate fried avocado and cream cheese for dinner. The waiter refilled our glasses again, with water ruining the 7up, my husband ended up not particularly enjoying his food. And we opted to take the bill rather than box up our food, and we left disappointed. To be clear, our waiter has the best attitude and a huge smile on his face. You could tell that he was new to the game and a little stressed out. But he was kind and I don't blame him. Just disappointing. read more

If I could give them 0 out of 5 stars, I would! I will NEVER be coming back!! I've been here several times & all of my family too. We came to celebrate with 9 adults plus 2 babies and spent $308! It was my birthday so they brought me a complimentary sundae. I was taking my second bite of the sundae when the manager or owner came over to tell me they'll switch me to a different table to finish eating my sundae! I was BAFFLED!!! The waitresses were clearing our table all around me while I was eating my sundae and I didn't complain but then they were trying to move me to another table to finish my dessert??!! I love Tepanyaki and and Tokyo Grill did not disappoint. A great place to take business associates or for special occasions. Our chef was entertaining and gave a fun performance. Everything I ordered was delicious and perfectly cooked, from the steak, to the chicken, and the shrimp. The sauces were yummy and well balanced. I really like seeing my food prepared in front of me and ensures you will only get the freshest food. The pricing is higher than some restaurants, but you get what you pay for. We went here for dinner on a Saturday night before our UFC fight night and upon arriving. Parking was fairly easy and we were seated right away upon Arrival. The atmosphere and decor in the restaurant was calm and was similar to all the Japanese restaurants I have been too. Our waitress came and we only had water and she was very knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Filet Mignon' and Chicken and my lady ordered the Salmon and Filet Mignon' with Fried Rice. We also ordered the beef teriyaki and a California Roll for our appetizers. The restaurant was similar to Benihana and Tepanyaki's Japanese Steak House where they prepare and cook your meal in front of you. We also received house salad and Miso soup that came out before the chef starting cooking our meal. The action with the food being prepared by our chef at the Hibachi Grill was very entertaining. The fried rice was very tasty but my chicken didn't have any taste. Big downfall! The sauce that they had on the side made the chicken more enjoyable. The filet Mignon' was OK. Compared to other similar restaurants, I have had better. My lady loved the salmon and the noodles that came with her meal. She also enjoyed the vegetables that came with her meal and the California Roll that we ordered for an appetizer. A downside to the meal was that I had to go find the waitress to get refills on drinks. Overall, this was a nice experience and the overall experience was OK. Good overall, not really a traditional sushi restaurant per se- more of a mix of Japanese and Chinese with focus on the American palate. Lots of rolls. While tasty, these are not what better sushi restaurants focus on. Sushi and sashimi are what sushi chefs typically prepare omakase- not rolls. But great fish is most likely difficult to come by in Ogden, as are the sophisticated palates that will pay for top grade fish and rice. That being said, I enjoyed our meal and would certainly come back again. Every dish and roll we had was good. No complaints. read more

We went to Tokyo Station Friday night, and our experience was OK. Just OK. Based on the other reviews, I had super high expectations. Maybe we went on an off night. Our little group of 3 was given the choice of sitting at the sushi bar, or getting hibachi. If we wanted hibachi, the hostess informed us, we would have to wait for 5 more people to even out our party, which is a standard practice for teppanyaki. We chose that option, then waited about 10 minutes to be seated for dinner. The ambiance was great and the wait staff was friendly, but our experience was mediocre from there. First, the other 5 people at our table chose to sit at the hibachi table, but didn't want hibachi, only sushi. This wasn't a problem for our party persay, and certainly not the restaurant's fault. The waitress expressed to the other people that if they didn't want hibachi, they should have gone to the sushi bar, but to be polite, she did not make them move. We ordered our dinners and the hibachi chef came out. He seemed disappointed when the waitress informed him only 3 people would be eating hibachi. The waitress apologized, and he proceeded to cook our meal. Alas, he hardly made eye contact with us the entire time, because if he did, he would know he was cooking the wrong order for my husband. My hubby is a pretty laid back guy, so he eventually decided to enjoy the show and not worry about the botched order. After we were served, we brought up the error with the waitress, who apologized and discounted his meal to fix the order. That was OK; mistakes happen, and our food tasted pretty good, so we decided to move on from the error. Then, at the end of dinner, the busboy came to take our plates. 2 of us (my friend and I) asked for take-out containers. Despite asking a few times, he didn't listen, then proceeded to take my friend's dinner and stack dirty dishes on top of it. My friend attempted to correct him, pointing out she wanted to take it home, so he took the dirty dishes off and put the plate back in front of her! The staff then came to box up our food, and mixed together both our orders in the same box! I've never seen anything like that in my life. So really, the staff was friendly, and the food and ambiance good, but we found the service at our table to be fairly careless, and possibly even angry at us because of the other patrons at our table. Maybe I will give them another try to give them the benefit of the doubt since there are so many high ratings here. I'm just so confused as to some of the errors, particularly with the take-out containers, that I'm not sure what to make of my experience here. read more

An Ogden Restaurant Week first visit here at Tokyo Station... here for the ORW dinner and it was good, but... They only include white rice with the ORW meals and you're asked if you'd like to 'upgrade' to noodles or fried rice. The problem was that I did upgrade to fried rice, but I didn't get it. The rest of the visit was good. The food was nice: the steak cooked perfectly; the salmon a little overcooked for my taste and the chicken was just chicken and not something I typically choose for a main course when we're out. The noodles that other people in my group ordered were tasty. All in all a good experience. You can bring your own wine for a corkage fee of $7.50. read more

I'm not usually a huge fan of hibachi, but this place beat my expectations in both service and quality. The inside is clean and well decorated and I like how there are only a couple hibachi tables as opposed to a ton all packed together. Service was impeccable and I really liked our chef's easygoing personality. We ordered sushi (angel roll) which was great, and filet mignon, scallops and shrimp hibachi.
