Double Crunch Deep-Fried Roll Texas Deep-Fried Roll

This place is seriously the best! It's my favorite sushi place. The sushi not only is delicious, it's decently priced for Sushi! I get about 3 rolls and a soda and make out for about $35 before tip. Highly recommend them! My favorites are the salmon lover, double crunch and sunset!

    Wontons, gyoza, and squid salad

First time ever trying this restaurant, so I opted just to buy a few things for takeout in order to check the quality, etc. I do have to say that I was pleasantly surprised and definitely will be returning! I ordered the Gyoza appetizer (which comes with six), the cheese wontons appetizer (also comes with six), and their squid salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! The restaurant was generous enough to include two ponzu sauces and two sweet and sour sauces. Both dipping sauces tasted absolutely phenomenal. The squid salad far exceeded my expectations and I only wish it was bigger because I definitely could have ate two of those! I requested very spicy and Tataki Sushi definitely delivered on that. The cheese wontons may appear a little smaller than some restaurants, however, they were all loaded with cream cheese which to me makes the wonton in itself. They are also cooked perfectly and very crispy. The gyoza was also cooked to perfection and loaded with ingredients. Everything was very fresh! Five stars earned and a HIGHLY recommend to all sushi lovers! I cannot wait to try their other dishes. Another bonus, the prices are very reasonable here and the quality is superb.

Snow mountain roll no wasabi or dipping sauce other than soy included...waste of $$$

Their appetizers are amazing and a good value for the price....the rest, not so much. If you're ordering takeout be prepared to receive NO wasabi or spicy anything in regards to sauces. You only will receive ginger slices and soy sauce. Their rolls are rather bland and small. What was the worst part though, is the way they package. I ordered the snow mountain roll with sashimi (crabsticks; $8 for 5 is already ridiculous but then...) The roll/sashimi was in a styrofoam container at the very bottom. Then they layered the super hot gyoza, cheese wontons, egg rolls, etc on top. I did not realize until I got home why my sushi roll was hot and my crabsticks wilting and falling apart. The worst part was the restaurant blamed me when the weather is cooler nevermind I have no working heater in my truck anyways. The soy sauce condiments and two chopsticks ridiculous. Will not be returning again.

Servings are a tad bit small, but the prices are good.

    Texas roll, shrimp tempura roll

Came here for my first time. Restaurant was clean. Service was good. But the food was such a let down! I ordered the 2 sushi combo special that comes with your choice of appetizer, house salad, and your choice of 2 sushi rolls. I got the crab Rangoons, which were not fried long enough, the wonton was chewy and not crispy at all. House salad was decent, the house dressing is a sweet creamy dressing. I got the shrimp tempura roll-mushy and had very little flavor, and the Texas roll-the steak had no flavor and the cream cheese was melted and the rice was mushy and over cooked. We also ordered the edamame...amazing! And the beef and meatball pho. Noodles were mushy and over cooked. Beef was chewy and had no taste. Meatballs also had zero flavor. Only thing that was good was the vegetables you added to the soup and the broth.

Alaska roll (size comparison to my thumb, and I don't have big fingers or hands at all)

Do NOT get their combo deal! I'm not sure if that's how they are trying to save money and ingredients on their food, or that's just how all of their rolls are made, but it is the most pathetic roll I have ever seen in my life! (Photo attached) Nothing like what they have on their menu. I have waited half an hour to get this garbage. I my honest opinion just go across the street to hibachi sushi. Way better, bigger and cheaper sushi. Never coming back here. I've never posted a review before in my entire life but this time I just had to.

Caterpillar Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll

This place is a hidden treasure! Great sushi for a great price. Their spicy tuna roll is up there with one of the best I've had. We usually get combo meals that come with a salad, choice of appetizer (gyoza, edamame and a couple other choices) and either 1,2 or 3 sushi rolls from a select menu. The service was half and half. The blonde lady that greeted us and walked us to our tables could use a little more enthusiasm. She was not attentive or friendly throughout our visit. Maybe she was having a bad day. There was, however, another young lady that was sweet as can be and very nice. The guy behind the counter is also great at making sushi. We'll be back!

After a long day of exploring, we were craving sushi! Thank you Yelp community for raving about this place! From the good reviews and photos of yummy sushi, I knew I wanted to go here for dinner. We did the Tataki Special (Package 1) where you pick an appetizer and 1 a roll from The classics/or Fried rolls. This special also comes with a small salad! What a steal for $10. I also ended up ordering one specialty roll- The Clinton which was recommended y the community over and over again! I have to agree, it was delicious. If you're in the Clinton are and is craving sushi, look no further!

The service was so good, it was too good... I loved this place! The customer service was better than anywhere else, they make sure to treat you like you're the only customer there- they check in with you about every 5-10 minutes. They give you everything you ask for and even though they have a mask on, it feels like they do it all with a smile! Definitely recommend and definitely going back! Another thing I love about this place is the TV they have that they display all their rolls on so that you can see it in HD instead of just on the menu which I feel like is super helpful for someone like myself that doesn't enjoy looking at huge menus.

After sleeping with a bucket on one side of my head and a garbage can on the other, this place deserves every last bad review that they will ever receive! Waited nearly two hours for a takeout order. I had absolutely zero issues with that, provided all of my detailed instructions were followed. I explicitly requested if they were going to charge me additional fees after my initial order total then to cancel the ENTIRE order! Not only was I charged additional fees to my credit card after the fact, my instructions weren't even followed! The most expensive item (especially since I was charged almost $5 extra for requesting lettuce) was the Dynamite Poke Bowl with rotten fish, rotten produce, saturated in sauce (that I explicitly requested ON THE SIDE), and most disgusting of all, warm creamy rice that was supposedly in their "homemade cream sauce". Absolutely nowhere in the description of the Dynamite Poke Bowl did it state it was going to have rice or give you an alternative option. Whatever is in that disgusting sauce should be retired and banned from the FDA! The supposed "fish" was all shredded barely there and nevermind I didn't receive the furikake with red onions that I was also charged additional for. The Kimchi was completely sour and opening the lid on the little cup you could smell the foulness. Yes, I did try a bite of everything that I ordered to leave an appropriate review. The Kurama Ebi (prawn) shows up with it's head and shell on which wasn't a big issue because I order seafood boils all the time. However, this poor prawn was all shell, no meat, and was discolored and mushy upon peeling. The Gyutan (beef tongue) was charred aplenty, but still impossible to eat because it was way too chewy and no amount of lemons were going to help it. I really was having a great day and that's why I thought I would be 3 for 3 and try this newer popular sushi restaurant and trust me, the pricey menu items certainly don't achieve the fresh experience that all of us Sushi lovers expect. Will never return and will forever be telling everyone about this horrible waste of time and money experience. And to think I actually left them a tip on top of the overcharges. Ha!

I've always been curious about their Bento Boxes and mine certainly did not disappoint. I went with the Eel Teriyaki Bento which came with two sliced peaches, a small salad, four pieces of a California Roll, a side of vegetables that were finely/perfectly sliced (broccoli, carrots, miniature corn cobs, zucchini, bamboo shoots, and more in a very rich perfectly flavored soy sauce mix), plus a choice of soup (Miso, Hot & Sour, Egg Flower, or Wonton). I went with Miso. OMG. My appetite was more than satisfied long before finishing the whole Bento. The California Roll....honest to God the best that I've ever had! I mean perfection, quality, and freshness. It had been forever (if ever) since I've had an actual sushi roll not break apart, be so fully encased, and loaded with ingredients, and the sushi rice they used.... just absolute 10/10 perfection! The Miso soup was beyond perfection as well. Plenty of tofu and seaweed with a perfectly flavored broth. Unbelievable! The Teriyaki Eel (Unagi) was surprisingly a very good portion size and definitely could not be eaten all at once (like I said; VERY filling). The flavoring and cooking also a 10/10. The side of vegetables I absolutely loved because I've only ever had tempura seasonal vegetables in competitor's Bento Boxes and this was a welcome surprise. It had a soy like seasoning base which just perfectly matched the whole entree. The side salad portion was fresh though the restaurant does put the dressing on for you and that was the only thing that I'd say they should put on the side or a little less of. Nonetheless it did not get wasted or tossed so that should say something. The dressing they used reminded me of a spicy mustard (which I happen to love); however, some might not be as enthusiastic. Lastly (but actually they were first..lol), I had to have my most favorite Mussel Shooter appetizer because it had been far too long. I realize some people might be put off by the raw Quail Egg (they are actually really good for you), but I promise you, the way they finely mince the mussels meat..then they add scallions, tobiko and the sweet yet tart yet perfect Ponzu sauce and it's a delicious glorious Heaven. Honestly I want to go back here tonight after writing this. Everything was THAT good! I also had added on a side of their Eel sauce and Chili Oil with my meal and both were just as amazing as all the rest. The prices here for the quality are beyond the vast majority of where I have been to in regards to Japanese food. I cannot highly enough suggest or recommend trying one of Ichiban Sushi Bento Boxes for yourself (or anything else on their delicious menu)! Try it for yourself. You just might be surprised in the most glorious of ways.
