I've only gotten takeout a couple times, but it's a high-quality experience. Online ordering is easy (including Apple Pay), pickup was prompt and friendly, and my orders were correct. Worth noting- the balance of their poke bowl is really excellent. There were no bland or sauce-less parts of the bowl- seriously every bite was fantastic and I didn't need to do any mixing myself. Tonight my family of 6 decided to go to sushi totto for dinner! We have a family with littles so I was a little nervous to go, however, it was a GREAT experience. They had us in one of their private rooms which was really nice for our family. It was helpful to not feel too stressed out if our kids were bothering anyone else, and we could relax and enjoy our food a little more. The service was fantastic. We got our drinks quickly and they gave us great recommendations of what rolls to order. We ended up getting three rolls, a bento box, and two orders of yakisoba noodles for the little ones. The kids noodles came after our food which was a little hard for them (they have zero patience) but the amount of food we ordered was enough to share with them before they got their order. The portions were massive. We absolutely loved our sushi rolls. My husband and I talked about the cosmopolitan roll being one of the best rolls we have had! Everything was fresh and had incredible flavor. The yakisoba was also delicious. They came with a lot more noodles than I was expecting! Each bowl could definitely feed two people. We had such a great night. We will definitely be back. It was an easy place to dine with kids, but I'm hoping the next time we go can be for date night! read more

I made the mistake of waiting to make a Valentine's reservation far enough in advance and two weeks prior most places that accepted reservations were full. I luckily called to see if they accepted reservations and they did! The gentleman on the phone was even kind enough to ask if we wanted a private room...um, yes please! The food was great and they offer many different adventurous options. We got our usual rolls, then decided to try the tropical dream. Very interesting. It was good, but in a very different way, being made with pineapple, mango and coconut cream, I think. The person on the phone told me I had to pay by credit card first. I told them I would pay cash when I picked it up. They said no you will pay now or no food. Ok so no food. I've come here very frequently through the years, and celebrated my past 4 birthdays at sushi totto. I never expected that I would end up having an experience as poor as this evening, seeing that I have been impressed with their service over the years. A roll was made incorrectly, and when we had noticed the missing ingredients (that was a first) the waitress offered to get us replacement roll. We gladly excepted but to find out upon receiving the receipt we were then left to understand on our own that we were to be charged for that replacement roll. I am appalled by the quality in prep and service. A service offered for a fault made by your restaurant to then be positioned as an undisclosed charge. (We were not informed that it would cost us what so ever) this is absolutely disgusting business. I forgot it is my responsibility to dissect every roll served before eating them or I am to be charged for them. Because the missing ingredients was my negligence not yours correct? I'd truly love to know your management and owner's position on that. I am shocked by a complete lack of empathy and accountability from the staff. I would hope not, but perhaps some traditions end. Thankfully there are 2 other sushi restaurants within a mile radius that have never exhibited this poor of service. Once more I have always been a huge fan of sushi Totto. Tried this place 2 days in a row. Monday dinner was really busy. I ordered 1 roll & a green salad. Had to wait 30 min for it & believe I only got it in that time frame by complaining. Next day, came right at opening. Empty. Still had to wait 20 min & they are weird with small requests like getting itemized receipt after paying, but before to-go order was ready. But food decent. My wife and I enjoyed a half-price evening with our two granddaughters. Good rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and soup. Nice presentation. Fast service, but not pushy to get us out of there in spite of a number of people waiting to be seated. I checked out Sushi Totto recently & we both highly recommend it!! We started out with the house made Mango Sake. It was delicious & I cannot believe they make this in house. I loved the little mango chunks added to this, it was a nice touch. We also ordered the spicy edamame. I'm not a big spice person, but this spice was more of a sweet & spicy sauce. It was really good! My friend loved the sauce on this & he ended up mixing some soy sauce in it to dip his sushi in. I was shocked how much I liked this spicy edamame, best edamame I've ever had!! We ordered two orders of Nigiri, the tuna & salmon. These were so cute! I've never seen these before. They come with a little ball of rice under the fish. Highly recommend both of these!! We also ordered several different sushi rolls! Our eyes were clearly bigger than our stomachs were. I ordered the Veggie Monster. I've never tried a tempura sushi roll before because most vegetarian rolls are very basic. I really liked this roll! It was cooked to perfection! This was probably my favorite roll. I had initially ordered a different roll but the waitress highly recommended the Veggie Monster & I'm so glad I changed my mind on this. I also tried the vegetarian roll & it was pretty good, another great veggie option. The White Tiger roll was beautiful in design. It was pretty eely though, so be aware of that. We ordered the April but we received the Andy roll. Staff caught the mistake before they brought it to our table, so we ended up trying both rolls! The Andy has torched tuna on top. It was a different touch but we liked it. The April was beautiful with the avocado laying on top. We really liked the spicy crab on this one. California roll was another roll we tried, always a good staple when grabbing sushi! The last sushi roll we tried was the Mars roll. It has shrimp tempura, crab, & fresh tuna. This was a favorite for us & we highly recommend this one! We wanted to try the Banana Brulee on their dessert menu, but we were so full! I can't wait to go back & try this dessert next time. Their menu is very accommodating for vegetarians, which I appreciated! Yikes! This is the worst sushi I have had in a while. They are also wildly overpriced. We ordered two rolls, and they were both hard to choke down. We didn't even finish them. One had yellowtail (I don't recall the names), and the fish was minced. Like it had been put in a blender. So gross. The other was a fried roll with lobster that was $19.50! For that price for a single roll it should be incredible. It wasn't at all. There was no taste of lobster. The pieces were enormous, but bland. We enjoyed the fried sweet potato strings that were on that roll, and that was the only enjoyable thing. We had two sake's and the bill was nearly $80. We left very underwhelmed and our butts hurt from being bent over on the price. Also felt like garbage afterwards. Save your money, and your guts. Do not recommend! Had a nice meal. Went around 4:30 pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Did get busier while we ate. Had shrimp & vegetable tempura plate, ten-don, and salmon poke bowl. All were tasty; the tempura had just the right amount of batter and wasn't overly greasy. The real star of the meal was the salmon skin hand rolls. The only reason this doesn't get one star is because the waitresses were so kind. The rolls were falling apart in our chopsticks (and I've been using chopsticks my whole life), and I've never had more bland miso soup. The ambience was fine. The food is always good when we go TO THE RESTAURANT. Word to the wise, do not order take out or delivery. Go inside, sit down, and enjoy your entire meal. If you order takeout or delivery, wait for it, answer the door, open the bag and find 1/2 of your order. We have ordered delivery four times, in each case, something was missing. When we call for correction, we are told "call {the delivery company}, we cant help you". Pick up, we had the same problem in each of the three times we ordered. We checked the bags then, and ended up waiting for the missing items. Poor quality control and service on delivery and pickup. Every time we go inside, we get great service, would be 5 stars, great food and no missing items. I would not say to boycott by any means, but definitely do not order takeout. read more

The best sushi in Ogden (sorry, Tona). I love that it takes me five minutes to get here and it's never crowded. The menu is rather expansive, but I don't generally deviate from my usual. Nigiri if it's around payday and the Naruto roll with edamame if it's not. Their sake selection isn't too shabby as well, but I do enjoy the occasional Sapporo. Everything they make is wonderful and the price point is on par with most sushi restaurants in the area. Something of note: their flambéed banana dessert is magical. I really had high hopes after stopping here on the way up to a camping trip to Logan, and trusting the previous 4.5 star rating. The inside is cute, and even has a few private seating areas with classic low top Japanese tables to floor sit around. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. The food however, leaves much to be desired. Maybe they had to lay off their usual kitchen staff due to the coronavirus, if you're playing devils advocate. The mango green tea tastes like mango syrup. The sushi rice was bland. The sushi rolls had a weirdly fishy aftertaste, and were just not up to par with many of the local Salt Lake/Park City sushi joints I often visit like Tsunami or Takashi. Perhaps the first improvement would be to narrow down the 5 page menu until the chef can perfect the basic rolls. Worst of all, I had to call off my trip after feeling sick shortly after this visit. Wow. What a disappointment. I have only heard good things about this location and I was extremely let down. I am not the pickiest of people. I usually give people more credit than most. But the Eel roll and Dragon Roll I looked forward to putting into my starving stomach, was disgusting and not fresh. The eel (that is supposed to be cooked) was undercooked and lacked much-needed eel sauce. The flavor and texture were just not pleasant. The best part of the roll was the rice. If I have to tell you that sushi is not good if the best part is rice, then perhaps get out more. My roommate ordered a tempura roll. He wasn't very happy with it either. The staff was great and courteous if not a little unorganized. Our experience was a "to go" experience. I would be more gracious if my two rolls didn't cost me 33$! If I order a 33$ sushi meal that includes nothing but two rolls, I expect excellence. Sushi Totto has the presentation down, but they missed the mark on flavor. I had the tonkotsu ramen. Unfortunately, it was some of the least flavorful ramen I have had in my life. Tonkotsu broth should be rich and creamy, but Sushi Totto's is on the thinner, almost watery side. I added what I could to improve the taste, but I still ended up leaving most of the bowl uneaten which truly hurt my soul as I have a strict "no ramen left behind" policy. The gyoza was deep-fried instead of pan-fried, which isn't necessarily a problem, but it was very dry and also lacked flavor. My husband had the curry and said it was very mediocre. Not horrible, but not good. We ordered one sushi roll--the rollercoaster. It seemed a little light on the sauce and the lemon, and the fish and crab were bland. I only ate two pieces. The service was excellent! The servers were friendly and helpful. No complaints there. I just wish the food tasted as good as it looks! read more

Came to this restaurant very excited due to good reviews. We arrived at 5:00pm, my partner and I ordered 4 rolls, one appetizer, one order sashimi, and one dessert. Orders were expedited for take-away without noticable issue. My partner's second roll was not cooked, despite ordering well in advance and inquiring prior to ordering dessert to go. We were notified that the dessert was made incorrectly and it would be removed from our bill. After receiving our incorrect dessert, we were told that the last roll order was never cooked and it "wouldn't come out in time." At no time did we indicate that we were in any rush and gave plenty of time for orders to come out Disappointing all around, and we had such high hopes for this place. In the end, we were charged for the incorrect, partial dessert (no available ice cream due to freezer outages) and are having to go elsewhere for my partner as he had one roll and part of an appetizer. We left just before 7:30, we felt we had given plenty of time and had been understanding. read more
