I have been a fan of this ramen shop for a while and usually go to the Farmington location, but I decided to take a trip up to the Ogden location today. It is about a two-hour trip on transit each way for me to get here, but since I had the day off, I wanted to make the journey specifically to visit this location and walk around the area. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. I walked in right when they opened at 11:00 AM. Despite being one of only two tables in the entire, huge restaurant, the service was chaotic and aggressive. The staff was openly arguing and yelling at each other across the kitchen and floor because they couldn't remember what was on the specific ramen I ordered--which is wild considering the menu only has about 10 options. The food itself fell totally flat. They warned me the broth wasn't fully ready/hot when I ordered, but even when it arrived, it was lukewarm. It was steaming, but nowhere near the piping-hot temperature required for a good bowl of ramen. Worse, the spinach in the bowl was incredibly gritty, meaning the kitchen didn't even bother to wash it properly. To top it off, I was completely rushed out the door. I was asked if I needed a fork for my soup (which happens every time), and while I was actively eating with a quarter of my bowl still left, the waitress interrupted to ask if I wanted dessert. When I shook my head because my mouth was full, she just said she'd be right back and slapped the check on my table. It was barely 11:30 AM and the restaurant was empty--there was zero reason to push me out. Frankly, this was unacceptable. I'll probably stick exclusively to the Farmington location from now on, even though the service there isn't great either. At least the kitchen staff there doesn't treat paying customers to a live workplace argument. read more

We all greatly enjoyed our meal here. Lots of vegetarian options, and lots of amazing flavors. Note that the eggs are soaked in the soy sauce after it's used for the beef, so some ovo-vegetarians may want to avoid the eggs. My vegetarian son (12, huge, eats a ton) got the rice bowl and is already begging to go back (we went there last night!) and he finished all of his food before the rest of us were even half way done. The waitress was awesome and recommended he try the kimchi on it next time (also not 100% vegetarian because it has fish, but he's pescatarian, so he's excited to try it next time. Little kids got the half-size (which is also half price!) veggie ramen. One wishes there was more seaweed, but he loved the miso broth an ate a lot of the noodles. My super picky little one had some broth and a bite of noodles, but that's no attestation to the food. His stomach wasn't feeling very good, so he begged to take it home for later. I got the tonkatsu with the miso sauce subbed. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the miso broth was amazingly umami, and the eggs (which I added) were very flavorful. I only wish the eggs had been a softer boil. Usually, I get soft boiled eggs in my ramen, so it was a little odd they were very hard boiled. Still tasty, but missing the texture that brings it to the next level. My husband got the Umami Bomb and also devoured it. He got some of the Carolina Reaper paste to add, and mentioned it was very tasty, but not as spicy as he expected. We shared the honey toast and I am SO GLAD we shared it because it was the perfect amount for 5-6 people! The toast is tangy and not too sweet. It combines its subtle saltiness with the creamy sweetness of the ice cream do a wonderfully harmonious dessert. I highly recommend! It's a cute little restaurant and the ambiance isn't fine dining, but it's cozy and open. I would say jot a fancy date location, but definitely a comfortable space with good lighting and a decently clean bathroom. read more

I was a bit surprised how spicy the ground pork was, I wish I ordered it on the side. Don't get me wrong, it was good. I also loved the broth, it was flavorful. Came back here with the wife and again it was amazing! She was in the mood for ramen so we stopped by. Service was great. We were greeted and taken care of pretty quickly. Food came out in the perfect timing. From order to eat. The appetizers didn't rush the entrees. And the entrees weren't rushed for desert. The restaurant had cool art hanging and overall really clean. The food so full of flavor, and always served hot. We have tried entrees and ramen and every time I get an entree i wish I got ramen because my wife's meal is 10x better even though the entrees are tasty. read more

We stopped by for lunch and were surprised by how busy it was, especially with only one server managing the entire place. We started with the karaage, which was pretty underwhelming. We both ordered the tonkotsu ramen--mine with tofu, and my friend's with enoki mushrooms. The ramen looked promising when it came out, but the broth was completely flavorless. The tofu in my bowl was spoiled--it tasted sour and had a strange texture. My friend's enoki mushrooms were raw and clearly undercooked. Later that night, we both ended up with food poisoning. I ordered spicy pork ground ramen with three assorted pickled veggies and pear tea. I enjoyed assorted pickled; radish, eggplant, and cucumbers. Each of these have its own unique pickled flavors. But as for ramen and tea, they're okay. Eggs are little salty and ramen isn't spicy at all and barely any pork ground meat in it. Servers are friendly and willing to write down to identify what kind of pickled vegetables I have. I'm giving it 5 stars because I'm not a huge fan of ramen and it was very delicious and high quality. We went here with friends who are obsessed with ramen and they say this is their favorite ramen spot. But we did also get some of their appetizers and they were all so delicious. I especially loved the pickled/marinated cucumbers and the mini sandwiches. The service was wonderful, prompt and made to specifications requested and the dining room was clean and warm. read more

Just so very bad. We got the mixed tempura and it wasn't tempura. I don't know what it was but it was just bad. No flavor and way overcooked and just very bad. We also got the Wagyu beef ramen and it cost $12 more than the most expensive ramen on the menu and it was awful. The broth tasted like a public restroom and the beef was not wagyu. Not a chance. Each piece was nothing but gristle. One piece even had a giant bone in it. And now 30 minutes after eating I'm having major stomach cramping. So incredibly disappointed. Glad to try out this authentic Japanese ramen place on the new year. Turns out to be an awesome meal for the first day of 2024. Ordered three appetizers, gyozas, edamame and fried chicken karage. All super delicious, especially the chicken karage. We also tried the taro fries, which are a bit too dry and too salty, that's the only complaint I have . The tonkatsu ramen and miso ramen both in very rich flavor and balanced savory level. Our server is very nice and attentive. Perfect place for a family meal in these cold and snowy days. read more

Being the good road warriors and local food lovers that we are, a stop in Ogden was deemed necessary the moment we felt the slightest hunger pangs. We wanted something light and on the healthier side to keep us energized as we continued down the dusty highway. A quick Yelp search brought us to Ramen Haus. Parking seemed fairly easy at 8pm on a weekday; we found a spot directly in front of the restaurant. Inside, the right wall was illuminated with colorful strobing LED triangles. Giving off the feeling of a DDR arcade game. Paper crane garlands hung vertically from the ceiling like jungle vines. The decor was sparse, minimal and modern-ish otherwise. Our server unenthusiastically greeted and lead us to our table. We weren't upset by the lowered energy, we came in 30 minutes before closing and sometimes people are tired at the end of their shift. We put in our order after scanning the QR code at the table. 10-15 minutes later, steaming hot bowls of ramen were set before us. I loved that there was a vegan/gluten free ramen option. However, the ingredients weren't extremely exciting : spinach, corn, a couple errant mung beans, and tofu. My taste buds would have swooned over pickled Japanese vegetables, Japanese sweet potatoes and mushrooms... Alas. This place just sells ramen and some small appetizers, unfortunately no sushi at all. My boyfriend wanted to try this place because people swore by the Ramen that it was really good. To us it wasn't THAT good we definitely ate everything so it was delicious but compared to a Ramen place back home called Ototo, this ramen wasn't what the comments said in our opinion. We also ended up getting some gyoza and they were delicious, a little dry in the inside so luckily they gave us their Su-Shoyu sauce which made it so much tastier and even the sauce was delicious! The place was a bit small so it felt like a hole in the wall place. Our server was very friendly and made sure we got what we needed. They had seatings in the front because far back is another station they have for drinks? and the bathroom. In total id say there was 10+ of 4 seats at each. Their air condition wasn't working when we ate there but they had fans to accompany it. It was nice inside, cute little cranes hanging from the ceiling and a cool light hexagon in the wall. It was a wonderful place to try I just felt like their choices were limited or not like our Japanese places in California. They were really big on the Ramen so maybe that is their specialty. This is my favorite ramen place. Every time I've gone the food has been amazing, and staff are always so nice.

Service from our server was great. Ambiance of a fake Japanese restaurant. They burnt our karage chicken twice. The chef was supposed to talk to use about it but ran away. The broth was awful for the tongatsu and the shoyu tasted burnt and the chasu pork in tongatsu was dry and old. If you like canned corn and uneven green onion and over cooked soft boiled egg this is the place for you. read more

I ordered the katsu pork ramen, I would say it's ok. it's nothing special because they put so much corn in it so that they don't have to put any noodles, and the broth could use some work it is somewhat bland and dull. I would say this bowl of ramen is worth about 5 or 6 dollars, if you want a refill of hot water for your tea you get charged for a new pot of tea. This is the best ramen restaurant I've EVER been to. If you're looking for a menu that's overall delicious and affordable - this place is a MUST. The potstickers and edamame are a go to appetizer and the beef shoyu ramen is out of this world. The beef is so well seasoned, the eggs are cooked perfectly, and the broth is just incredible. Even the Coca Cola tastes better than any other restaurant in Ogden. The service is also phenomenal. I will keep coming back here over any other ramen place. My main complaint is that we ordered the dessert special (basically, ice cream on a kind of bread), and the unadvertised price turned out to be more ($18) than pretty much anything else on the menu. My sister loves this place and will get ramen here frequently, and their soup was pretty good! I wanted to try something new off the menu and got the beef rice bowl, and was not impressed. The beef was dry and tough, there was no sauce in the rice bowl, so it was pretty bland. It was a decent portion of food, but it was disproportionate with the quality of toppings. Though, I will say that the prices were great for the bowls of ramen. Our server was nice and quick in delivering our food, though wasn't around often. Bold strong flavors on the tonkatsu ramen. Chashu nice and tender, the soft boiled egg perfect and runny, noodles to perfection, broth is sooo delicious. Now the honey toast, my new favorite! Strong flavor of honey, nicely topped with Ice cream and strawberries. Something different and softly sweetened ever so delicately that it's memorable. The service was excellent. I have been here a few times and the times that I have been here it was delicious. I'm not sure if they changed chefs or something but the last time I was here the broth was super oily. It had a layer of oil on the top and also the pork had a very sour taste to it and it was not good. It gave my coworker and I food poisoning. Definitely looking for another spot for ramen. read more

Was craving Ramen and Pho and our favorite pho was closed and we had a bad experience at another pho restaurant so we found this nice little ramen place and decided to try it out. Really loved the ramen, the broth was delicious. They had real root beer it was delicious and i don't drink soda at all but we wanted to try there root beer, it was delicious i really loved how amazing it tasted. I really enjoyed my experience and all the staff was awesome but their was one worker who seemed rude at first until she saw my sisters phone and Yelp was open and then she literally was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, lol. I feel you should give A+ service regardless of what's going on or who is there. But all in all the food was delicious and the drinks was great.
