2 stars because our chef was friendly. We told the waitress and the chef my brother was HIGHLY allergic to peanuts and sesame seeds... then they cook his food with sesame seeds. He picked them off one by one. They remade his veggies.... but really they should have remade his filet and not made him feel bad about it Bc the seeds got on there too. All around it was amazing! Let me break down what I had. I started with the Spicy Tuna Maki, which was way better then I'm used to getting in Utah. The sauce they used was defiantly the best I've ever had, the only reason the whole thing wasn't the best is because the rice didn't hold together well like normal. (this is the only bad part of my review) I then order the New York Steak and Chicken dinner combo with fried noodles. They started with miso soup and a salad like every hibachi place I've ever been too. The soup was the same taste as everywhere else, but it wasn't a million degrees like most places I've been too, it was just right. The salad was a good portion size and tasted amazing. Normally I think the dressing is a little too sugary, but it was just right. The noodles were perfect, not much more to say. The steak and chicken were both slightly smaller portion then my normal place, but they tasted a little bit better so id say it was worth it. Now when you go to a place like this the service is really important, so that's why I saved it for last. The waitress was very nice and a lot more helpful then I find most to be at hibachi places. I was very happy with her service. The cook on the other hand was by far the best I've ever seen. I go to these places all the time and have seen all the same tricks a million time. This guy was really really funny and had several tricks I've never seen before, he felt very original. Needless to say I left a very good tip and recommend this place to everyone. Also to those who have never been to this kind of place because the price or something. You really should do it, its an amazing experience and I know you will leave feeling like it was worth it. read more

For a japanese restaurant, it is a shame to have out of stock Japanese beer. If an item is on the menu, then it should be available. If not then it shows and represents an unorganised business. Side salad held too much mayo. Miso soup was good. The sushi rolls and nigiris are not worth $30. read more

Had the worst service yet. Maybe 10 customers in the whole restaurant and had to wait 45 minutes to get an order is sashimi. Three tables ordered after me and finished and left before I got my food. Was going to order more food but didn't feel like spending the night there. I am in Ogden for business 15-20 times a year and would not come back to this place. read more

I get that they maybe don't need the business since people go there anyways but whoever was on the phone was very rude and said we could try and go there but there was going to be a long wait and we may not even get a table.....it's 2 weeks away. Be prepared for a long wait! We arrived on a Monday night and told it would be a 20 minute wait. We were prohibited from ordering beverages in the lounge/waiting area despite observing the previously waiting party fill up their lounge table with empty beer bottles. We were finally seated one hour and fifteen minutes later. Once seated and served salads, we waited another 40 minutes for the the chef to show up at our table. The overworked chef was in a hurry, mildly entertaining, and prepared mediocre food. Normally, I'm always a 20% minimum tipper. However, due to extreme wait, I was planning making an exception and giving little to no tip. No such luck. They automatically added 18% with no comps and no apologies for a $146 total. With no lingering after dinner, we were finally able to leave three hours after we arrived! We will not be returning anytime soon! read more

FILET MIGNON. If there's one thing you take away from this review, it should be that the filet mignon is without-a-doubt-in-my-mind better than the New York. It is so much more tender, melt in your mouth, amazing, and delicious. My husband and I recently stopped by to celebrate our anniversary. I ordered the New York and Shrimp while he ordered the Filet Mignon and Chicken. We both tried all the meat and I would say from the best to the worst for selection goes Filet Mignon, Shrimp, New York, Chicken. I wasn't a big fan of the chicken and I wouldn't get it in the future. It was overcooked and a little chewy. Everything else was delicious though. The soup and salad was tasty. The fried rice was worth the additional cost. And our chef was absolutely hilarious. He had our table laughing the entire time. We really enjoyed our dinner! We had a couple beers, great dinners, and our dinner was less than $100 including tip. We will be back! read more

Yum! This was our first time trying Tokyo Station as it is new in town, and we already can't wait to go back. Our party consisted of my Mother, my fiancé, my sister and B-I-L, 2 year old niece, and myself, and we were all impressed. My niece loved the show on the hibachi and actually ate what she was served. I had the shrimp and scallops combo, normally I am iffy on ordering scallops as it is hard to find them that don't taste fishy around here, but they didn't taste fishy at all, they were fresh and large. My fiancé got the steak and salmon combo, he ordered his steak rare, and although I was nervous to try it, it was very tender and delicious meat. We also ordered the funky sushi roll and the Atlantic roll. The funky roll was so good I almost stole the leftovers of the random stranger next to us. My sister, who has never met a sushi roll she liked, tried the Atlantic roll and loved it. The only change I would make to Tokyo Station is that I wish they had tuna steak on the menu, that would have made my night even better. read more

Sushi bar is nice and had an NFL game playing. Simple elegant decor. We sat at teppanyaki table. Our Chef was funny and cooked up quite a feast! Scallops were cooked fantastic, steak was tender and cooked perfectly. Fried rice was delicious, daughter got noodles and ate them all, said they were tasty. Nigiri sushi was fresh and tasty, Vegas roll fell apart a bit but the flavor was delicious. People at the table had Lobster and the preparation and cook on it looked Fantastic! Soup was really good, very clean clear broth with some dried mushrooms and a few crispy noodles. Salad was tasty. Stir fried veggies were good. My Wife asked for her veggies cooked well and our Chef obliged and got them nice and soft for her. 4 of us and we ordered nigiri sushi and a roll, one kids chicken teriyaki, one veggie dinner, an order of egg rolls and a steak and scallops combo with an extra side of fried rice and spent about $100. Not bad for dinner and a show. Very entertained by the skill and whit of our Chef, delicious and fresh food and we left full. Consider me very unimpressed. I'll start by allowing that the staff were very kind and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and beautiful...good atmosphere, but thats pretty much all that earned them stars today. We were first to sit at our table at the grill. It seemed like we waited an exceptionally long time for the table to fill before they were willing to move forward with the show. We ordered a sushi roll in addition to our chicken teriyaki entree. The sushi roll was meant to have tempura crab dashed on top but the whole thing came caked in grease and had no flavor to speak of. The sauces of the night were bland. The chicken was the last thing to come to our plate, it was stiff and tasteless. Sensing my disapproval, the cook handed me more teriyaki sauce but it didn't do much to save the dish. It was a nice show, like any other restaurant of its style, but i wont be going back. For those prices, i expect to be impressed...or at least satisfied. read more

We moved to the area a few months ago, and I have been looking forward to trying Tokyo Station ever since. Tonight was my birthday, and we had planned to take the kids to fat cats. We were disappointed to find them closed, but thought that since we were so close we'd try Tokyo Station. We are a family of six, and I could see the look of disdain appear upon the servers faces as we entered the restaurant. After being seated, we realized that plates were $20-$30 a piece (Being as we had not planned on going here, this was a bit pricey; but we often spend well over $100 to feed our family and were prepared to spend twice that for dinner tonight). We ordered appetizers and drinks and then decided to get sushi for all of us. We were informed that we were seated in the wrong location to be served sushi (although they'd given us sushi menus before escorting us to our seats). We were told they needed our seats for their other customers (there were a total of six other people in an establishment built for at least dozens). The waitress came to escort us to our new seats, and I asked if they would be aiding us in relocating our drinks. We were informed that it would be up to us to move our drinks. At this point, I told my husband that we might as well just finish our drinks and leave. We ended up not even finishing our drinks. My husband stayed behind to pay for the drinks while I walked the children to the car. He asked the hostess why we were not informed prior to being seated that there were separate dining areas for sushi customers. She informed him that the sushi area was reserved for their quiet customers. Obviously a family of six is not going to be quiet, but I feel that they judged our book by its cover. Truly it is their loss. I'll never step foot in there again, and I'll warn away as many other people as possible. No one deserves to be treated rudely when they are attempting to try a new restaurant ... Especially on their birthday! read more

Doubtful that we'll return. Pleasant staff, horrible food, tasteless. We were seated with 6 other folks who were already having their soup so we sort of rushed looking at the menu since the chef wanted to start his show. Ordered the early bird special chicken teriyaki ($18), and it came with all this other stuff added on: 2 dumplings, white rice, cup of miso soup, salad, cheese cake. Totally too much food. Didn't finish it. Wanted a lighter meal but didn't see it on the early bird menu. I've seen the "show" before with the banging knives, throwing the eggs, etc. Fun and what we wanted but the food was really horrid. The rice was cooked first and then the veggies,shrimp and lastly the chicken, so by the time we got our chicken, we had sort of finished everything else. Didn't finish it, no one did at the table, we all went home with boxes of chicken. Fried rice was an upcharge, maybe that's usual but I hadn't seen it before. Think I skip it and go back to Blue Lemon. read more
