    Ponzu Citrus Roll

Fun Concept, Needs More Punch I recently brought my family to Tsubame Rotating Sushi to celebrate my son's birthday, and overall, it was a mixed but worthwhile experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The main appeal, the rotating sushi belt, was a huge hit! My son was super stoked and absolutely loved the novelty of picking exactly what he wanted right off the conveyor. It certainly makes for a fun, interactive family meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Food While the concept is great, the quality was a bit lacking for my wife and me. We found the flavors weren't punchy or vibrant enough to really stand out. Best Roll: The Ponzu Citrus Roll was my favorite, offering a nice, bright flavor. Good Option: The fried options, like the Fried Jalapeño Popper Roll, were generally tasty, but still felt a bit typical or "boring." Skip: My least favorite was the Mango Roll. Bland, no flavor but coconut and rice. Service & Atmosphere On the bright side, the service was excellent. Our server was very nice and was super on top of drink refills, which we really appreciated throughout the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The design and overall vibe inside the restaurant were also nice and pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall: Come for the fun experience and interactive concept, especially if you have kids (perfect for trying different types of sushi at only $3.59 a plate). If you're looking for top-tier, complex sushi flavors, you might find the food a bit understated.

Tsubame Rotating Sushi: A Spin on Freshness Tsubame Rotating Sushi in Vineyard, UT, might just be the most entertaining dining experience you'll have without needing a karaoke machine. Nestled in a charming strip mall, this sushi spot elevates your dinner from a meal to an interactive show, with a conveyor belt delivering tiny plates of joy right to your table. Ambiance: Think futuristic Tokyo meets cozy neighborhood eatery. The restaurant's clean lines, subtle lighting, and vibrant sushi carousel make it the perfect balance of sleek and inviting. It's the kind of place where you feel trendy just for walking in, but not so trendy that you're afraid to spill soy sauce on yourself. The Sushi: Let's talk about the main act--the sushi. The selection is a delightful mix of classics and creative rolls. The Spicy Tuna Roll has just the right kick to wake up your taste buds, while the Dragon Roll might as well come with a roar for how boldly it delivers. And don't skip the Creamy Crab Roll--it's like a hug for your mouth. Bonus points for the nigiri that's so fresh it could moonlight as a fishmonger. The Gimmick That Works: The conveyor belt is the MVP here. There's something oddly satisfying about snatching up your meal as it glides by, like a foodie version of a carnival game. Plates are color-coded for price, so you can manage your budget while still feeling adventurous. It's the perfect setup for those who like their dining experience with a side of adrenaline. Desserts: Oh yes, there's dessert. The Mochi Ice Cream is the sweet finale you didn't know you needed. Choose a couple of flavors (mango and green tea, obviously), and you'll leave feeling like you've won the sushi lottery. Service: The staff? Top-notch. They're quick to refill drinks, answer questions, and make you feel like the conveyor belt isn't the only thing that's rolling--so is the service. Verdict: Tsubame Rotating Sushi is a fun, fresh, and surprisingly affordable way to indulge in your sushi cravings. Whether you're a seasoned sushi aficionado or a newbie looking for an Instagram-worthy meal, this spot is well worth a visit. Just be warned: once you've experienced sushi delivery by conveyor belt, regular dining might feel, well, stationary. Rating: out of 5.

I wanted to do 3.5 stars but rounding up to 4. Food was good. Service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cool interior, I lived in Japan and I recognized a lot of the signs, etc. They put a lot of effort into that and I appreciate it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They even have gocha machines in the front. But it's sushi, so it's expensive, but I can't fault them for that. I'd come again, but I would definitely not be hungry when I come.

We had a really good first experience here. Their waitlist system where you check in on yelp work very well for us on a Friday night, party of five. The belt was fairly full the entire time. When we ordered on the iPad things came out quickly. Our server was attentive. Is it the best sushi in the world? Probably not, but it was decent and we all had a great time.

Very fun restaurant. Delicious food and fast service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like how they take the Japanese dining experience from Japan.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Like they have a button to let your server know you need them or that you need your ticket! The sushi tastes authentic too. I'm glad they serve karage the right way! With lemon and mayo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the Japanese signage all over the walls too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing is that it's pretty expensive. Each plate is $3.5. But that's the way every place is these days.

Such a cool vibe in Utah county. Wow, what a unique and interactive dining experience. I've been eyeing this place for a while, so glad I tried it. Walking in the decor is so fun with cool lighted Japanese signs all over. You can order from the iPad on the table. Or grab a dish as they whiz by on a conveyor belt. (They are fresh and each plate is microchipped so they only stay on there a short time) The plates are perfectly sized. And if you're someone like me who's kind of picky, you don't have to get stuck with a whole sushi role you don't like. The plates are smaller so you're able to try so many different unique tastes. There are mild to bold flavors and love that many of them are healthy. Prices are unbeatable too. My go to faves are 1. Coconut Shrimp Mango roll 2. Tsubane roll 3. Vegas roll 4. Spicy California roll (it's very mildly spicy) 5. Aonori Fries with dipping sauce 6. Tempura fried mango dessert Omgg this is sooo good! 7. The Taiyaki fried Nutella dessert holyyy so crispy and filled with Nutella is such a treat! It gets busy on the weekends so add your name to the waitlist before you head over. Services is amazing. So fast and superrr friendly. We need more of these in Utah, I love the interactive sushi vibe!!

When I say we had to turn the car around, we literally had to turn the car around . Saw the sign that said "Revolving Sushi" and we knew we had to go try. Super cute when walking in. It's like we were in a Japan subway. They had cute toy machines up front by the register. Warning - the token for them was a bit pricey but the items were cute and worth it. I believe it was $3.50 each? The first time we went, they had different prices based on type of plate you grabbed. The second time, which was a few days ago, everything was $3.39 a plate. I've attached a picture of the menu BEFORE they changed it to $3.39 a plate. Each plate of sushi is about 4pcs aside from nigiri which is 2pcs. You can wait for the sushi to come around and you can also order what you want off the menu on the iPad at the table. They have a good variety. The fries are soo good! They were so sweet to make a special request roll for my daughter. We entered on the iPad a California roll but in the comment section asked for only avocado and rice. They even put it on the cheapest plate (before the menu change). We will be back. It's actually pretty cheap. We had 15 plates and a hot tea. Total was about $55.

I've been here 4-5 times over the past year and it's never disappointed me. The sushi tastes fresh and the conveyor belt feature means you're never waiting long for some options to roll by. This last visit, we ran into a situation where we were sitting after a large group so the conveyor belt options were really limited once they'd taken their picks, I'd never relied on the iPad feature so much but it was surprising how fast the ordered rolls would come out, and they were fresher too so our experience was not diminished at all. Whoever is in the back is working HARD. It's a busy environment and the train station decor/sounds are really fun, so even when the restaurant is on the emptier side, it doesn't feel too slow and quiet, it's just been really enjoyable every time I've gone. Plus 3.39 a plate feels like such a steal, I only wish we had a Tsubame closer to SLC.

If you opt for takeout, the prices are extremely reasonable especially if you are a Sashimi lover such as myself. As always, my favorites are the seaweed salad and squid salad; but alas, I've tried their sushi rolls and the salmon sushi roll (6 piece) is definitely one of my favorites. In regards to Sashimi, you honestly cannot go wrong with any of them! You can actually taste the smoky flavor in the smoked salmon which I've yet to find anywhere else that tastes this good. The caramel shrimp is a MUST TRY along with their fantastic and crunchy flying fish eggs. Mussels shooter's are never a disappointment! The jalapeno pepper is similar to jalapeno poppers in other Japanese establishments. Fish is always fresh and I've never had a bad meal or experience. Highly recommend Sushi Pro to all sushi enthusiast's!

Unfortunately, we stayed on 08/08/2026. My daughter tried the squid sashimi and spent the next day at urgent care and the following day at Ogden Regional ER thus ruining her vacation from AK and wasting $775 in healthcare payments thus far (before ER tacks on follow-on doctor bills, labs, remainder facility costs, etc.). Both my son and I were extremely ill, but we didn't have the squid sashimi, so that was probably our saving grace. It seems that these dishes are being "re-cycled" off the conveyor belt at different serving periods. Case in point: I grabbed one dish that was pretty much just a typical CA roll, but filled with "spicy" imitation crab instead of plain crab. The rice was dry and crumbly, the seaweed was soggy, and the avocado was black. I tried to pick up a piece off the plate and the piece literally crumbled/disintegrated--not from freshness. It was so old it wouldn't stay together when I tried to dip it in soy-wasabi; it just fell apart. Similarly, the gyzos were absolutely cold - not luke-warm, but congealed fat cold consistency. We also noticed that the cantaloupe was overly ripe in one bowl (i.e., appeared like it was rotting) while the second bowl choice was unripe (i.e., more white with a hint of orange color); we thought why bother to put those two bowls on the conveyor belt? No one would grab either one. What it did alert us to is quality control checks or lack thereof. If the kitchen has no qualms about blatantly putting those out for public consumption, what "day-olds" are they hiding or tucking into unseen items? I wouldn't order directly from the kitchen, who knows what you'll get with that kind of QC. Simply put, conveyor belt sushi in a land locked state is a big pass. Hind sight is 20/20. Enough said.

There is something about cooking your own food at the table, at exactly the temperature you want, in exactly the amount you want, that turns a meal into an experience worth repeating. The concept is all you can eat Korean style tabletop grilling with two menu options. The Umami Buffet Experience covers a generous selection of quality meats, and the Full Premium Experience adds New York strip steak, Japanese short ribs, lamb, tri tip, shrimp, calamari, and cow tongue. We ordered one of each to compare. Honest verdict: the regular buffet holds its own and the premium upgrade did not justify the price difference enough to order it again next time. The table sauces are worth exploring. The roasted sesame is my personal favorite, but the miso apple and garlic shoyu are both worth trying alongside your meat. A selection of vegetables comes with the grill as well. One welcome improvement since my last visit: the ventilation setup has been redesigned so the smoke no longer follows you home in your clothes for the rest of the evening. A small thing that makes a real difference. The time limit is around three hours, which is more than enough. Forty minutes at the grill was plenty for us. Now for the honest part. The cold buffet side needs work. The spring rolls were a miss, the Hawaiian mac salad was forgettable, and the only sushi option was a California roll that did not taste fresh. For a restaurant that executes the grilling experience this well, the appetizer and salad bar deserve more attention. Four stars for the meat, the experience, and the improved ventilation. Come hungry, focus on the grill, and set your expectations accordingly for everything else on the buffet.
