When I finally called, an employee unlocked the door, yanked it open without a word before throwing it closed again, leaving me outside, and then she watched me struggle to drag all my bags inside. The customer service from that woman was actively hostile, snappy, and completely dismissive. When I asked about vegan broth options while wearing my Star of David, she literally told me I could choose between miso or pork--completely missing the point of plant-based options. To top it all off, she dropped the check on my table before I had even finished eating. My first set of chopsticks was also moldy, and the second set I found on a different table (not pictured) had a green spot. The only redeeming part of the entire experience was that the male staff member was genuinely kind. While I enjoyed my ramen, I didn't feel treated like a human being, so I don't think I'll come back.

The karage was great, I just wish I could say the same for the ramen. First, waiter/chef brings the ramen to the table and it is covered in a cup (yes, a whole cup) of bean sprouts. Who puts mung bean sprouts on Tonkatsu ramen? It was on all three bowls. It was a massive pile after we all pulled them out of the ramen bowl and collected them on the karage dish. The waiter/chef, a couple of minutes later, brings over the eggs for the ramen on a separate plate. No - they weren't in the ramen. Once I removed all the bean sprouts and put the egg into my ramen, it wasn't bad.. but it was a weird scenario and at that price point, if I'm wanting weird, I'll go to some experimental dining place.

Popcorn Chicken: The Taiwanese popcorn chicken, which I heard was what this restaurant was popular for, was disappointingly simple in flavor.
