Solid sushi spot we found near SLC - very similar to what we're used to at home in SoCal...fish is all remarkably fresh considering how landlocked they are lol! Service is fast and friendly, vibe is very chill, and we liked all our food! The only odd thing was that they served all our rolls on the same plate - I've never seen sushi served like that but it ended up making it easier to share and left more room on the table - I liked it haha! We started with the Crispy Crab Wonton appetizer which is their version of Crab Rangoon. Each delightful pillow was full of melty cream cheese, herbs and some crab - my only complaint is it needs more crab but they were still excellent. And they came with a nice sweet and sour sauce to dip. Would definitely get these again. My hubby got a Rainbow Roll and an Angel Roll. The Rainbow Roll is your standard - same as all others we've ever had. It was fresh and delicious. The Angel Roll has a spicy salmon mix inside and it topped with tuna, avocado, and shrimp and various sauces - it was my fave one - also very fresh with great flavors! My Merkley Roll was my least fave. It has shrimp, crab, avocado and cream cheese inside and is deep fried with spicy Mayo on top. There wasn't much cream cheese in it and it had tons of seaweed inside - the flavor of the seaweed overpowered everything and I'm not a huge fan of that flavor so I wouldn't get this again. My hubby loved it - I honestly think it's a personal preference thing bc I don't care much for seaweed so definitely not taking off a star for it. We still really enjoyed our lunch! They have booths and tables as well as a little sushi bar and some TVs scattered around showing sports. Very relaxing and warm and cozy. They even have several private style booths that were packed when we walked in - I'd definitely try to sit at one of these next time haha! It's located in a busy shopping center with plenty of parking and it's easy to find. Prices are very reasonable for the area and the quality. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive. We'd definitely come back on our next visit!

When I give a review, it starts when I walk through the door, how im greeted, the ambiance, and how soon we place our order, of course, the food. The first turnoff was how dirty the windows and door were. Our serve Airial was awesome. She is new at being a server and doing a great job very helpful and fun. We ordered 3 rolls and a beer to share. The rolls were good and quickly served. The little booths are fun. Music was too loud and strange. I feel prices were slightly higher than we usually pay. I gave 4 stars because of the awesome server.

Another great experience at Fuji Sushi this last weekend! We learned partway through dinner that we had to leave early, and the staff was great about getting our food out quickly.

I got a sushi craving at lunchtime, ordered on Yelp, and satisfied the craving, so that's a win. My food was ready promptly at the scheduled time. They did forget the avocado on the "tuna avocado" roll, but I was still happy. This place has a large menu that features lots of fried/cream cheese/odd ingredients types of sushi, so it's not a regular spot for me (I prefer to focus on fish/rice). But it's nearby and they have basic maki/chirashi too.

Sushi and sashimi is art you can eat! Here you will find excellent sashimi, sushi- nigiri (fish laid over rice) and both traditional and Americanized maki (rolls), tempura, teriyaki, and other traditional Japanese dishes, such as miso soup, edimame, and yakitori. The pieces of fish are appropriately sized for the sushi and quite generous for the sashimi. They are fresh tasting and exquisitely prepared. The rice was perfectly prepared with just a hint of sushi vinegar and sweetness. There are dishes for those who prefer only cooked fish as well as the traditional raw fish. Shellfish- lobster, crab and shrimp are always steamed, of course. Some of my favorites were the salmon, yellowtail, and red snapper. I'm looking forward to trying their more exotic fare. The tuna was a touch dark and slightly mushy which is always a problem when the fish is flash frozen before delivery, but Utah is landlocked and no tuna swim in the Great Salt Lake! The restaurant was spotlessly clean in the entry, dining area, and even in the bathrooms (tip: you can tell how clean a restaurant is by how well they maintain their restrooms!) The decor was modern Japanese with a nod to tradition. I especially liked the dining booths open only to the hallway! The service was excellent and the sushi chefs were happy to share their knowledge and accept compliments!

Godzilla, Vegas, Playboy, Caterpillar... all amazing!

Some of the best sushi I've ever had... I'd drive hours to get to this place. Like a little Diamond in the Rough... driving by you wouldn't think much of this place but, don't miss out. The atmosphere is good, and the restaurant is nice and clean. There's usually a wait but I'd say it goes by faster than you expect (and is well worth it). You can tell they are proud of their restaurant. The service is always friendly and right on top of things. Everything is delicious. I don't think I've ordered a roll I didn't love. The fish is fresh; the tempura has the perfect, fresh crunch; even the kids' meals are impressive (fresh, good portion sizes, etc). The only problem I have is - how do I decide what to get??!

Always delicious! They are a small place so sometimes the service is a bit slow, but good. Not a bad price for great sushi.

I ordered the small poki bowl which comes in at 32 oz. Same size as the regular or large bowl, the only difference is how many protein scoops you receive. Small bowl receives two of your choice, regular size includes three, and the large size includes four. You of course can add additional scoops to any of them for an additional fee. Toppings are free and they have quite a few! I went with shrimp and octopus in my small bowl with all of the toppings listed except for edamame. They were kind enough to honor my request of dressing on the side in which I requested their Poki Spicy Sauce (which basically tastes like spicy mayo). You can choose from a variety of bases such as brown rice, sushi rice, mixed greens, or tortilla chips (you can also mix and match two of them and go half and half). I went with mixed greens and tortilla chips and let me tell you; that bowl was filled to the absolute brim and you honestly need another bowl to mix it all in if you want the flavors equal. Needless to say I was VERY impressed with the freshness of all the ingredients. Only slight bummer was there were only a few tiny pieces of octopus in my whole bowl but it was getting close to closing and very possible that they were running out. The shrimp was fantastic and decent size portions. I also ordered a side of their steamed and air fried Potstickers and OMG their ponzu sauce is out of this world! Hands down, the BEST damn ponzu sauce that I've ever had anywhere! I'd like a large side of that just to have on hand for dressing, etc. The potstickers definitely tasted healthier since they weren't fried in a bunch of fattening oil on the stove. Overall I definitely plan on going back to this lovely find of a restaurant and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for fresh, HEALTHY, and filling food suitable for your wallet and your gut health.

I'm always in the mood for such a healthy, protein filled delight! They even accommodate my request for dressing on the side without any hassles. If I lived closer I'd be here every day! Highly recommend to EVERYONE.

The food is very good with a good range of different fish for sushi and sashimi, as well as several options for teriyaki and ramen. The appetizer selection is surprisingly diverse. The portions are good sized and the rice is well prepared. The fish quality is very good for Utah. The food is competitively priced with the lunch options being downright cheap- $16 for three rolls and a miso soup. One of my favorites is the chirashi bowl- 9 pieces of fish sashimi, with tamago and crab stick served over a generous portion of their rice with pickled ginger and wasabi. ($23) One tip- *do not leave* without trying either the Honey Crispy Shrimp or Shrimp Poppers. They are tempura batter-dipped shrimp, served with either a honey cream sauce or a sweet chili mayo sauce. They're both amazing. You're welcome.

Unfortunately, the service was off this time. My server, Caitlynn, seemed unfamiliar with the basics. When I asked for hot sauce and specifically mentioned sriracha and spicy garlic, she didn't seem to realize sriracha is a type of hot sauce. She said she didn't think they had any, then loudly asked another staff member before grabbing me the spicy garlic. I pointed out the sriracha bottle literally next to it, and she responded with, "Oh! I thought you meant Tabasco or something..." which was just confusing. She also asked if I wanted a fork for my ramen--as if I'd ordered a rice bowl--and then asked again after the food arrived. I declined both times, because... it's ramen. I was also interrupted twice mid-bite with questions, even though I'd clearly mentioned I'd just finished a long fast and was trying to eat. To top it off, she wished me "good luck on your test" after I'd already told her it had happened. I was planning to stay and relax a bit after my meal, but I ended up leaving right after paying because the service felt disruptive and inattentive. That said, I will give them credit where it's due: the veggie shio ramen is way better than the veggie miso. Glad I tried both--but next time I'll probably stick to the Ogden location.
