After two visits to Fuji Sushi over the last three years, I can't say I am impressed. The sushi itself isn't very flavorful and the wasabi seems to be some sort of imitation product that had a sting horseradish flavor, but is a vibrant green color and doesn't taste anything like one will get at a quality sushi restaurant. We ordered 3 take out rolls, the Fuji mountain roll, a rainbow roll and another that I can't recall that had crab and asparagus. The fish didn't have a lot of flavor and while the sauce levels didn't detract from the flavor, it didn't add much either. I am glad there is a place to get sushi in centerville, but, I doubt I'll be back to support this place again. Even though it's close to our home, I'll make a trek to Layton, Kaysville or Salt Lake City to satisfy my future sushi cravings. read more

Amazing sushi place in the Centerville area. They have a huge variety of rolls, entrees (rice and noodle dishes), and side dishes that you can choose from. We got the caterpillar roll, USA roll, gyoza, and cucumber salad. The caterpillar roll is different from the taste of the one I'm used to. It's more sweet because of the yam sauce. Next time I would go for a more traditional tasting one. USA roll is decent if you like tempura sushi. It's essentially a California roll deep fried. It's not usually my go-to type but because I'm pregnant, I don't have many options. I really loved the gyoza here. It was perfectly crisp, and the dipping sauce was so good. It's a mix of ginger, soy, vinegar, and some sweetness. The cucumber salad was also very delicious. The sauce it's in is flavorful and tangy. I used some of the gyoza dipping sauce on the cucumber salad and it made it even better. For COVID, you are welcome to take out or dine in. The dine in process is that you figure out what you want, order at the counter, then pay after you finish your meal. The lady at the counter was very sweet. I got her name on my second visit - it's Michelle. Love her! This is a great place to go for some sushi cravings. Can't wait to try their raw sushi roll options in the near future. Will be back soon! It's been almost two years since we first found this place and I have to bump them up. Michelle and Rebecca are amazing and just treat the customers so well. They recognize us every time we come in and remember our usual orders. They are so friendly and the staff they hire uphold the same friendly service standard. We try to order something new when we can but still like our go-tos. I don't like seaweed paper and they always remember I like my rolls with the soy paper. I don't eat seafood so I always stick to the veggie rolls which never disappoint. Hubby likes to order the Geisha and the Firecracker and he loves the Kirin Ichiban or Sapporo beers to go with his meal. Tonight I switched it up and tried the chicken yakisoba, a dish I have never had anywhere before and the hubby branched out and ordered the Shiso Tacos to start. Those kept popping up in the tips and reviews so he had to try it. When it came out he had to ask how to eat it since it was a piled high snack. Michelle showed him to just press down on the top of the pile and then just pick it up and bit into it. He followed her direction and after taking the first bite, all he said was holy s*** that is so freaking good!! He liked the crunch on the bottom and how it was sweet with a spicy finish. He loved every bite!! I devoured every bite of the yakisoba. I am so glad I decided to try it. The sauce was light and sweet with a hint of savory. It was almost like a lighter version of a teriyaki sauce. The noodles were cooked perfectly and tasted so good. Will definitely be adding this to my rotation! We absolutely love this place. The service is always stellar and we appreciate that we always feel welcome and it's like eating a meal at home with friends and family. We don't see one person to come check the list for about 10 minutes (thankfully we beat the dinner rush). They come out a bit cold, but we sip them anyways. Not long after that we order our rolls, nigiri and child teriyaki bowl. Our food took forever. And it didn't seem to just be us. The tables around us that looked like they were sitting there quite awhile didn't have food on their plates either. Our sushi came, and it was mediocre. About 25 minutes later our child teriyaki plate came and it was so disappointing. Extremely rare meat after asking for it almost well done, and pretty much raw vegetables. When looking for our server multiple times I could never see her, and the one time I did she was sitting down at another table chatting. We had to get up and grab our own napkins. The food was absolutely delicious and their hot sake was some of the best I've had in a long time! Loved the atmosphere and I really love the private little tea booths they have set up! 100% recommend the Bonsai Roll and the Jason Plus Roll, spicy but so yummy! If you do get him- make sure to tip him good for me! The miso soup is the best to start off with, then go for some gyoza or cream cheese wontons.
