Read about the opening of a Timber Pizza location on West Street in Annapolis and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. The Neapolitan-style pizza was outstanding (4.5/5). We got three pies -- the Pretty in Pepperoni (plus soppressata), the Shirley, and the Penelope. All three were perfectly-cooked, and while the original plan had been for sharing, everyone loved their own pizzas so much that there was no sharing! Sodas are in a can, and a good selection of local beers is available. We sat at the bar, and our service was good (4/5). The only downside (and the reason for an overall 4-star rating) was the lack of seating in the restaurant (3.5/5). Seats at the bar were really all that was available to us when we arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday night, and to keep from having to wait an extended amount of time, we decided to take the bar seats. Unfortunately, we were right under the stereo speakers, and it was loud and difficult to have a conversation. We'll definitely be back when we're in Annapolis, but we'll either try to get there earlier or get takeout if it's super busy. read more

Such a welcome addition to downtown Annapolis!! The Margherita pizza was delicious, but I think my favorite menu item might even be the Snoopy salad. So good!! We went the 2nd week it opened. The wait was well worth it. Staff were incredible. We sat in the back by the bar and the bartender was very attentive. Pizza and empanadas were hot and fresh. We walked in and sat at the bar. Bartender was nowhere to be found. The host had to come over and get us menus and water. After a few minutes the bartender emerged from the back of the restaurant. Proceeded to ignore us even though there was only 4 other people sitting at the bar. He then did a couple things at the bar, still not acknowledging us, then walked into the back again. The bartender then came back out, walked right past us to the front without saying a word. When he finally came and asked us if we were ready to order we ordered drinks and he literally just said "do you want food". My husband asked if we could get our drinks first and the bartender seemed annoyed and walked away to get the beers. At this point we said never mind and walked out. This restaurant was good and had a great personable bartender when it opened. Not sure what happened but we will never be back. It will be Foxs Den or Vin909 from now on. read more

I was just excited to have a good pizza place in Annapolis and decided to try this new business on Doordash tonight. Pizza is cold and severely undercooked (do NOT blame the dasher for this they were great and prompt). The bottom is raw and the pizza is cold and very floppy and gross. This was our first visit to Timber Pizza hoping it would be as good as other reviews we have seen. First the good part the staff was really nice, efficient, courteous and even though they are new did a really good job. Now the not so good, the pizza has a very limited selection of toppings with red sauce 3 choices (no combinations, only cheese, pepperoni, or a spicy one with chorizo), canned sodas but they offer a cup of ice, there is a bar if you prefer alcohol. Our total was 37.39 for a cheese, a pepperoni 12 inch on the pizzas no Large or Small, and 2 can sodas. We were given a number and went to the table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seats were hard to sit in for us with no backs and a thick slab of wood base.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our pizzas arrived fairly quickly, and looked Ok but, the thick pieces of mozzarella were barely melted, fresh basil was only on a few pieces, the crust was cooked had a crunch, but the bottom was not cooked through no crunch, it was soft and chewy over all it was luke warm at best. We're new to Annapolis and have been excited to get to learn the area. We recently decided to check out a place that we heard a lot about in DC but never had a chance to try - Timber Pizza Company. It's co-owned by an Annapolis native and has a big following in the DMV. They just opened their brand new location on West St. in Annapolis. I was truly impressed. The crust is the best we've tried in the DMV and on par with the pizzas we just had in Rome earlier this summer. The ingredients are fresh and flavors are so bright. Highly recommend! read more

Pretty good pizza, especially for the price. The crust is super thin and a little flaky which is different and there's plenty of cheese and sauce. We got a regular cheese, and I wasn't the biggest fan of the provolone they add but that's personal preference. Super nice staff, fast service, and nice place to stop by. read more
