I dropped off a Veronica Beard blazer that I had gotten at Neiman Marcus to get a stain out. This was a brand new blazer that I had paid a lot for so I wanted them to do a good job. When I came to pick it up, not only was the stain still there but the lapel on both sides of the blazer was ripped too! I wanted to cry when I saw my ripped blazer. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at a dry cleaners! read more

I used their service for the first time last week to dry clean a suite and two jackets. I specifically asked for deodorizing the suite and applying low-heat press. After picking up, I found the jacket were not properly cleaned and the suite was damaged. The fabric was damaged on multiple spots as if it was exposed to a sharp needle or metal. The tag on the pants were dis-shaped and looks like that it was exposed to excessive heat. Poor Service, improperly handling the articles, and damaged clothes while I paid for it. Had great service with this location. I came in to get my comforter dry cleaned. She said I was able to get 50% off because it was my first time here. Which is a nice savings and I'm so grateful. She said it will be a week or 2 to get back in return. I was okay with that. I know 2 weeks is excessive, and was sure it wouldn't take that long. I dropped off on Saturday morning and I got a text stating that my comforter was ready on Wednesday. Super please with the outcome super pleased that it was quick. They will ruin your clothes, and they do not care. They admitted to ruining my suit that had been worn only twice. They asked for a receipt for the suit. The suit was $950. They offered a reimbursement of $250. They offered zero customer service. They told me 'that is how dry cleaning works'. read more

6/28 I dropped off a quilt, matching shams, and duvet insert and they said give it a week, and my claim check said pick up by July 8th. As of July 16 my shams are still missing. The quilt and duvet insert were completed on time. I've called the store several times and left messages asking for a call back, and I left voicemails at the corporate office. Nobody cares, people don't you back, and they act like it's no big deal that part of our bedding set is missing. read more

THEY WILL LOSE YOUR STUFF. Tried their cleaning delivery service. On 9/3 they lost a silk shirt worn twice that cost $175. Said it had to be lost for 2 weeks before they would file a claim. I had to remind them to file one. At every step, I have had to reach out to see what's happening (which has been absolutely nothing as far as I can tell). On 9/30, they finally filed a claim after I insisted. On 10/6 I tried to find out what was happening- the VP of Operations still needed to "review my claim." My blouse has been lost for over a month and there is no resolution. And no outreach at all!!! I'm off to contact BBB. Don't use them!! read more

CAUTION! The store lost a shirt and returned my pants with an ink stain on them. The staff is incompetent, always shuffles the blame, and then tells me to call the manager. I called the manager and left a message but didn't get a reply. I returned to the store once more and found the manager working. I decided i needed help with the laundry my college kids came home with. I knew it would be pricey but worth it...i dropped off 3 bags of wash and fold laundry. The clothes I got back were "folded" like a toddler tried to do it. Everything was so wrinkled and didn't smell clean. I had to rewash and fold ALL OF IT. And still paid $175. I left two voicemails with the manager but no return call so yelp is the only way I can let them know how bad it was. I suggest the wash and fold on south Lamar instead. Hi, your dry cleaning company ruined a brand new $2000, yellow silk Cushnie Et Ochs gown by sticking a jumbo sized safely pin right through the front and back of the dress. It also returned with several weird black marks. Who can I contact about submitting a claim??? Honestly, the service is amazing but they have a TREND of loosing items if you send the item back because they did not clean it properly. They follow up properly but a lot of things go missing or not replaced. read more

Terrible quality on my shirts. They kept coming back with iron marks pinched on it. They had to redo them, but did they provide a discount? Nope. Then they left a bag on the door and dropped off my clothes at the wrong house. Thankfully the person came over to get it. I never had this problem at MW Cleaners. FINAL UPDATE: August 17th picked up my (new) white shirt in immaculate condition. Amber from Tide Dry Cleaners was **outstanding** in customer service, follow-through and overall communication. I'm fairly certain that had she known of the issue from the beginning this review (and my high frustration level) would never have taken place. My mom is in assisted-living. As a person in her 80s, they are not good with live phone call communication--- and she doesn't text. Many a time with Tide: - they missed pick up / delivery dates with no communication about it -many times we were told, "we have two weeks to find your clothes and get them to you before we will call them lost." Not a fun experience when you sent it out to have it ready for a particular event and now the clothes are "missing" and you still need to go to the event. In the meantime, I've found an Austin based dry cleaner that really does perform as promised--- so it is possible to have it done consistently right!! read more

They consistently miss SCHEDULED pickups and make you track them down when things are late instead of being proactive about it. I have been away working in NYC on COVID-19 related work as a healthcare provider. Tide Cleaner has been running a unique program for healthcare providers and first responders. Unfortunately, there is not Tide Cleaners close to me here in NYC, but my fiance has been able to utilize this service, which is extended to family members. I just wanted to express how much of a relief this has been on our family. I have been in NYC for almost two months now and have been away from home and my fiance has made the sacrifice of working full time and still maintaining or household and taking care of our superbly rambunctious dog. The service that y'all have provided for us has provided a sense of relief and solace in such a turbulent time. I had hopes for Tide Cleaners. That is till they lost my Armani Exchange wool coat. It started when the coat was sent back to me without the repairs I paid for. I brought back to the store in the beginning of August 2019 never to see it again. After this coat was not delivered, no one at this location would answer the phone. I called repeatedly looking for answers and calls were forwarded to the Round Rock location. I went by the store and I was told I would hear from the manager. Which never happened. By now it was mid September and I called corporate. Amber was empathic and seem to be on point to getting this resolved and I would hear from the VP of operations. Unfortunately today, Oct 13th 2019 I have not had a single phone nor answered email on the status of my claim. read more

Don't be fooled by the convenience Tide Dry Cleaners claims to provide. My boyfriend and I have experienced a handful of issues with the dry cleaning we've dropped off at Tide - everything from lost items, to broken kiosks, to a lack of communication from the staff. They may seem friendly and attentive, but when they lost a belt from my dress both my boyfriend and I called in hopes of a resolution. I was told they would call me back and my boyfriend left a message for the manager. No one cared enough to return our phone calls. Another frustrating aspect of this place is that the staff is unable to handle any of the issues. They always direct you to a manager, who is usually unavailable. The lack of communication from Tide is inconvenient in itself. We shouldn't have to spend time hunting down a manager when an issue occurs, and frankly, we shouldn't experience an issue every single time we drop off our dry cleaning. read more

Do yourself a favor and do not use this place.  Their model is "convenience," but the many of our orders have been completely screwed up: 1.  They lost a shirt of mine months ago and took no accountability for it.  Their response was basically, "too bad."   2.  They claim you can pick up orders 24 hours per day, but they don't mention that their kiosk often doesn't work, causing you to make a return trip to the store during business hours 3.  They offer referral specials but fail to train their staff on how to input it into their computer system, resulting in additional trips to the store to speak with a manager 4.  After a number of orders, I stopped receiving email notifications indicating orders were ready.  They claimed they didn't have my credit card CVV resulting in the lack of communication, but didn't explain how I received numerous such confirmation emails over the course of a few months 5.  Most recently, Tide lost my girlfriend's cloth belt to her dress.  Their response was basically, "we'll call you if we find it."  I specifically left a message for a manager and have heard nothing back.   While they have offered me credits to make up for #2 below, I will not step foot in this place again.  I simply don't have the time to deal with their inefficiency and risk additional lost clothing.  There are plenty of other dry cleaners in Austin. read more

Tide/MW Cleaners has lost and carelessly misplaced 7-8 summer linen, resort wear, and sweaters from my last clean. Worth $1000+. I've been robbed and that would be a felony. I am realizing how many pieces I've lost as I go through pictures/closet and realize that garments are missing. I just noticed today a John Varvatos resort wear was never returned and never filed a claim for that piece.. At this point, I would advise customers to keep track of their clothing if one continues to use their service. I spoke with the VP (Matthew Styer) who in return said I'd get a check for my clothing between 7-10 days, it's now been the 13th day. I'd rather the company be more responsible with other people's belongings as opposed to the check. Especially since some pieces had sentimental value and we're special edition/exclusive pieces. If I could I would give the service a 0 and the customer service a 0 star rating; I would. I no longer trust this dry cleaner. I asked for them to look for my clothes and they could not find it and apparently according to Matthew Styer, this is normal, since they "receive so many garments"... it could have been "given to someone else" is what I was told. How this makes sense, I am not sure. But they've lost $1000+ worth of my garments in one clean. How careless is that. read more

Their customer service is absolutely awful. I sent a pretty expensive quilt to be cleaned 3 weeks ago and have tried to call multiple times about the status. I understand that quilts take a bit longer than their usual turn around, but 3 weeks... feels more like they've lost my item and are giving me the runaround. I have called customer service twice and both times, the woman on the phone was insanely rude going as far as to laughing at me when I asked how she was going to follow up with me. I am a former tide employee of two years and I must say that I am disappointed at how Tide has handled certain issues. The management is incompetent and the business lacks structure. I recently moved and forgot to change my address. When I realized that my W2 was sent to that address I immediately tried to find out where it was. I have been contacting my employer (The first step to locating my W2, which was advised by the IRS) and they have been uncooperative in this process. Since the beginning of February, I have been asking my store manager to look into the issue hoping she would contact HR with the issue and I haven't received any help or any information on where or how I can obtain it. I was finally able to contact upper management, but was met with disinterest and was told that there would be a follow-up with me that never happened, which seems to be a common trend for this employer. I have also had an issue regarding my pay in the past that was also handled with a lack of urgency. With a company like this, it is expected that they should act more proactively in helping their customers and employees and should know how to run their business efficiently and effectively. read more

I got a coupon in the mail to try the new Tide cleaners at half off the normal price for first time customers, so I decided to try it out. My first impression was not great. The woman working wasn't necissarily bad at customer service, but she was kind of awkward. As she was ringing up my service I realized I didn't actually bring the coupon, but she told me I could use it anyways. When I went to pick up my clothes the next day my total came out to $35 for FOUR items of clothing. I mentioned that I had used a coupon and I was told that had been applied already. I've never heard of someone paying $70 to dry clean a small amount of clothing, so it seems pretty obsurd to me. None of the small stains in my jacket were gone, and one item looked like it had a few stains that I didn't think were there when i dropped it off. I was hoping this would be a good experience since the pick up anytime is so convienient, but I definitely won't be going here again. read more
