Jane's Breakfast and tickle tree omelette.
Julie C.

Looks can be deceiving. Coffee was sour, like when it's brewed too quickly. Food was plain and unseasoned. Had to add lots of salt and pepper. Felt like their using really cheap groceries. Cheese was super rubbery. Potatoes really bland and burned so much they were rock hard in some parts. Overall they did have really friendly service and it's a cute little place. Wasn't worth the 50$ paid.

Came to Tickle Tree for lunch with my friends and it's my favorite spot. Decided to try out the grilled chicken sandwich- perfectly cooked and curated, and the matcha bingsu- red bean, mochi, and almonds were a good touch. Despite how busy the cafe can fill up to, orders always come out quick and delicious.

A couple of us came into Tickle Tree to order lunch to go for a small business meeting. The young lady at the register was polite, but not warm or welcoming. The order came out quickly. We came at the end of the lunch hour, so that may have made a difference. Our special orders for allergies were met well. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Found this cafe about 7 minutes away from a hiking trail I had just finished & it was just what I needed! There were several drink options to pick from including coffee, tea, refreshers such as mint lemonade and even Italian Soda. You order up front at the register and pay. Then are given a number and you have the option of dining indoors or outdoors. I ate outdoors under the shade which was much needed. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The fries had garlic in them which I loved. My sandwich was also tasty, the chicken tasted a little charred but not dry. My only complaint is I asked for my sandwich to be made with no mushrooms and there were still mushrooms in my burger underneath the melted cheese making it kind of hard to get it out. Overall cute spot for a quick bite.

Breakfast sandwich

We got the Breakfast Sandwich and Jim's Breakfast (sub bacon for chicken sausage). The food was really yummy, the sandwich was super flavorful from the aioli and the bread was nice and toasted. The pancakes were also delicious and the breakfast plate had generous portions. We went on the weekend around 12 and it was not very crowded so there was a lot of seating outside available. Also our food came out fairly quickly. Overall, everything was great and we would like to go back again.

Lovely little cafe! Great place to catch up with friends and grab lunch. I believe there is also outdoor seating. Food came out quick and was delicious.

Sweet potato fries. $8

Friendly staff, and great sweet potatoes fries! The garlic aioli hit the spot, although the fries could have used more garlic. Always more garlic. Nice mountain views and tons of outdoor seating, which is appreciated, as it's a rare thing in LA.

Iced dirty chai, the best!

A good friend brought us here because he loves it! We agree it's great, so we came back a second time! I got the ice dirty chai both times. It's the best dirty chai I've ever had. My hubby got a cappuccino with oatmilk. That was good too. It's not bitter, very smooth. We've heard the garlic fries are good but we've never had them. The employees are cool and chill.

The menu is extensive enough to satisfy even picky eaters, with a variety of coffee and tea options, including bingsoo. The outdoor seating is pleasant and adds to the overall experience. Service was fast, and the food was good. I'd come back to try their coffee next time. Overall, it's a nice spot for the area, especially since there aren't many options nearby.

Chicken club salad I think. Berrrrryyyyy good. And big!

So I've been here a few times and every time I come it does not disappoint. I've decided to give it a review mainly because I wanted to make sure it was consistent and not a one off. The portions are very generous for the prices. I've had the salads and folks with me have had the entrees. Very high quality ingredients and flavors. I will definitely recommend for brunch or lunch anytime.

Definitely loved the portobello mushroom sandwich--the flavor was right on point, with tomato and pesto layered inside alongside the perfectly cooked portobello. The fresh sweet potatoes on the side were a great touch. The Tickle Tree omelette felt like a classic breakfast option--not too surprising--but it delivered where it counts, with fresh ingredients and solid flavor. They also offer a variety of lemonades. We tried the Arnold Palmer and a mint lemonade, and both were on the lighter side, not overly sweet, which I really liked.

Tuna melt

Decided to come here after an appt in the area and I'm glad we did! You order at the counter then find a table. They options inside, deck and outside, so plenty of seating. The service was great, everyone was a delight. Food came out QUICK. Which was good because we were hungryyyyyy. I got the tuna melt which was delicious but the sweet potato fries and that garlic sauce FIREEEEE. Yoghurt was standard definitely some honey would've elevated it. Jen's breakfast was decent portion. Overall great cafe option if you're in the area.

Good food, fair prices, and outdoor seating. Dog-friendly too: they have a water bowl available and a hose to fill it.

We luckily found street parking up front, otherwise they have a small street nearby that you can probably park in as well. Only two people were ahead of us when we walked in but shortly after, the place filled up with the line almost out the door! There was only one worker but she made it work and she was fast! Cute decor and vibes inside. I wanted to try the pistachio bliss that everyone seemed to rave about but since their seasonal menu was out, I went for the toffee nut iced latte. The drinks are a bit on the pricier side, cute cups though! Something about the drink I got was a little off putting. Idk if it was whatever spice they used but I was not crazy about it. I definitely want to come back and try the pistachio at some point though! Getting out of my parking spot was rough. Busy street but also some annoying guy parked in the red zone behind me, basically bumper to bumper and then another girl in front had A LOT of room in front of her and just didn't give me enough room. I luckily made it out but very annoying! Anyway, still looking forward to coming back to try their pistachio bliss! IG: @ammysalamii
