I even asked the bartender point-blank, "Would you drink out of this, let alone pay for it?" After repeated apologies and no improvement, I finally asked to be served in a plastic cup. The wine itself was subpar to begin with, and my friend turned to me and said, "I think we made a huge mistake coming here." Cleanliness was clearly not a priority -- in the glassware, in the air, or seemingly anywhere else in the establishment. I have the pretzel crusted veal with spaetzel. I asked for them to hold the asparagus, which is usually cut up in the spaetzel along with mushrooms and onions, and they did it perfectly. The veal was especially amazing, and the spaetzel was very good, too. I tried the Mr Manhattan, and had another one as my dessert. I'm always delighted when my usual craft cocktail is one of their classics on the menu. It was well-made, if a bit small for the price point. We've already decided that this will be our go-to place for lunch whenever I travel up from Chicago to visit my friend.
