Bacon double cheeseburger with onion rings
Steven T.

This was the new restaurant check in so I stopped by to check them out. First off parking on the Main Street proved to be difficult on a Saturday at noon but if you go down the the alley or around the corner the back block has plenty of parking and just walk through the short alley. I like what's old is new again because I would have loved to live through the 50s 60s and 70s and I always said that I was born too late. The decor is absolutely amazing and maybe not totally 50s correct but it's done very well with the big boy like figurines on top of the awning. I like the menu but I don't like how the menu burgers are arranged so I would combine 2 menu burgers with + and - ingredients to create a cheeseburger more my style. I would take the best of 2 menu burgers and and create the Steve cheeseburger. I took the bacon double cheeseburger and Frankensteined it with the California cheeseburger for a double cheeseburger with bacon, cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato and raw onions. My server was completely confused because he asked several questions about my order and writing 2 checks until he fully understood my request after all the confusion I thought my cheeseburger would end up lost in translation but to my surprise the high school jock young man nailed it, great job adapting at a special order request because he went from deer in the headlights to being a boss. Ok enough of of the great experience of my double cheeseburger and onion rings looked great with perfect melted American cheese, sesame bun and a ranch dipping sauce for the onion rings. The Steve cheeseburger was amazing with juicy beef patties which might be fresh beef because of the juicyness and tender texture. The fresh bun and toppings were a plus. The onion rings were very crispy with tender onions inside and the unexpected ranch dipping sauce was a nice touch. Overall this new restaurant comes with some experience because the execution and training with a difficult customer was spot on, they hit it out of the park on my visit, nice job.

If you are looking for a unique 50's dining experience, then this is the place. First time here and we were impressed. Got here at 11:30, and the place was already starting to fill up. There is seating inside as well as tables out front. The owner Joey was there and he is friendly, gregarious, and funny. Never missed a opportunity to say "Welcome to Joey's, take any place to sit", or "god bless you" on the way out. As soon as we arrived, our server checked in with us for waters/drinks. Super friendly, and helpful. We ordered the onion rings and a couple of burgers. My friend got the double bacon cheeseburger. I got the Elvis Burger (Peanut Butter, Banana and Bacon). Not because I am an Elvis fan, but it sounded interesting. The food came out quick. It was hot, flavorful, and good size portions. The Onion Rings hot, perfectly breaded and had the right amount of salt. The breading creates a course texture, that adds to the flavor. The burgers were hot and juicy. My friend loved the double bacon cheeseburger. My Elvis Burger was.... interesting. My first bite was a big one, and since there is plenty of peanut butter, my mouth almost felt like it was glued shut. After some water, I was able to get it down. After that point I learned to take small bites. It was good, but not my favorite flavor combination. The fries were also very good too. Even though you have a table server, you need to pay at the counter. And Joey was the only one that was able to do this. We needed to wait for Joey to be available for this. Not sure why the other staff are not allowed to take care of the payment? Overall a very good experience. The prices are reasonable and provide a good value. Definitely a place that I would come back to.

Joey's Diner is dinner food done right! This was our first time here, and from the moment we walked in, we felt like we'd stepped back into the 50s-- Elvis in the front window, nostalgic atmosphere, Leave it to Beaver was playing on the TV, and a fun, welcoming vibe. The Joey and his staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely happy to be there, which makes all the difference in the world. My husband and I shared a meal, and was just right for both of us. The patty melt was very juicy and cheesy, served on marbled rye and grilled to perfection. The onion rings tasted just like the ones we remember from our childhood--crispy, golden, fat, and even better with Joey's secret sauce. Hubby ordered a chocolate malt. It was thick, creamy, and topped with whipped cream and a cherry--just like it should be. The Joey, the owner, is so welcoming and full of positive energy, which just adds to the charm of his place. For our first visit, Joey's definitely made a great impression. We'll be back for sure!

Fantastic service, cool place and delicious food. I had the Joey burger and it did not disappoint. Fries were crisp and yummy. Loved all the Diner decor including Betty Boop, a Dino and more. It was my hubby's bday and we even got cupcakes for our party of three. We will be back! Felt like we stepped back in time.

I was excited to try Joey's Diner since I heard people raving about it. The decorations at the diner were great! The decor ties the diner theme together, with vintage signs, posters, etc. There's even a dinosaur and Betty Boop statue! I thought the phone stands on all of the tables were a nice touch, the party next to us was enjoying their meal while watching a game together. The diner was very clean including the bathrooms. The service was great. Every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and kind. They were also very tentative and were there if we wanted help with our order! The food was great. I got the BLT with fries. The service was fast, we ordered and received our meals promptly! I can't wait to go back and try other items on their menu! It's the perfect place to grab a bite with your family or friends!

I'm very impressed with this small establishment. It has 3 tables for 4 and 3 tables for 2 plus counter seating for about 5-6 people Menu size is about right and very reasonable price wise in my opinion Food tasted great in my opinion 3 cookies did show up as I waited for my food Now here's the catch. Parking can be and will be a hassle during peak times Also you may have a waiting period close to lunch and dinner time Nice touch is having Leave It To Beaver on the TV screen

"Joey Burger" and it was cooked to perfection and the bun was even crispy! The fried mushrooms were fresh.

Seriously one of the most fun local places to go! The food is amazing, the service is even better and it's kid/family friendly! The decorations are on point and the music fits the ambiance perfectly. Don't forget to order ranch! It was the best I have ever had!!! Can't wait to come back!

Cheese curds, strawberry milkshake

My husband and I stopped at Joey's Diner, and it truly felt like stepping back into the 1950s -- not just because of the jukebox and the happy older customer singing along behind us, but because of the heart and hospitality that filled the place. It was packed when we arrived, so we sat at the bar -- which ended up being the best seat in the house. The owner greeted us right away and talked with everyone like they were family. When we bowed our heads to pray before eating, we looked up and saw that he had joined us. That moment said everything about who he is. The food was amazing. The burger was real and full of flavor -- the kind you can tell was made with care -- and the cheese curds were easily the best I've ever had. The portions were perfect, the prices were so reasonable you'd almost feel bad not tipping big, and the whole meal tasted like quality still matters here. But what really stood out was the owner himself. He told us he wants to be a good steward of what God has given him, and you could see that in the way he treated everyone -- his staff, his customers, even strangers like us. The whole team was joyful and kind, whether he was looking or not. We left full, grateful, and touched by the experience. Joey's Diner isn't just about food -- it's about people, kindness, and genuine love in action. It was the perfect way to end our trip, and we'd go back in a heartbeat just to be around that kind of goodness again.

Come check out this spot!!! Awesome personable service! What? Free cookies upon arrival? You betcha! The place is decorated with memorabilia you'll think you went back in time. We will be back soon Joey!

Chocolate cake!

I had been to Joey's maybe 3 times before tonight and always really enjoyed their food but usually eat at home. Tonight after work I decided to stop by because I got off early and found it was busier than the few times beforehand and it was nice to see a local business doing well. I had been craving a BLT and got theirs with a side of fries and it was just DELICIOUS. Thought that was all I was gonna get until I saw the chocolate cake in the fridge and decided to grab a slice to go. Went up to the register and they told me the chocolate cake was on the house. So so sweet. My meal was about $8.50 and I gave a $2 tip and now i'm wishing I gave more. I didn't realize they had more than just burgers so I will be going back soon! Staff was so friendly and the environment is so cute. Love this place!

Looks like I'm adding another restaurant on yelp because I can't find this one anywhere on yelp and…read morethey should have a yelp presence with some pictures so they get the Steve stop by right from the start. I stopped here after a weird experience at the Chinese restaurant next door for lunch. The place is clean looking with just tables and chairs. You can enter from the mall hall or parking lot store front doors which is weird. The menu is like American diner crashed into a Mexican restaurant because it has classic American diner breakfast and sandwich's with Mexican food also which is cool. I was not super hungry so a dinner was out but 3 tacos was probably just slightly more than I wanted and would work. I was going to sample the tacos with Asada, Al pastor and chorizo street style with just cilantro and onion. My order didn't take long and my tacos were hot off the grill on my favorite corn tortillas, flour just doesn't have an authentic flavor in my opinion. I sampled all the meats before topping my tacos with the hot sauce to get an idea of how meat really tastes. The steak was moist but not seasoned with some gristle in it and pretty boring. The chorizo had more flavor but the skimpiest meat wise. The Al pastor was my favorite because it was the tastiest of the tacos with a sweet finish but I didn't have any pineapple in my taco. Overall the tacos were ok and nothing spectacular but I would like to try the breakfast next time because I'm a breakfast junkie.

Being Mexican American I can kinda be picky on Mexican Restaurants but this place passed the test! I love the family owned atmosphere and takes me back to the taco stands in Mexico. The food was abundant portions and delish! We even had left overs! I am happy we finally found a "go-to" Mexican Restaurant close by.

Okay, I will say right from the start that I am a fanboy of Tofte's Table. Have been coming here…read morefor many years and have always been impressed. Even had our 40th anniversary party here (on a Monday night). It's an excellent restaurant AND with reasonable pricing. The restaurant is small and intimate. There is a bar area, that has seating, or you several different areas of different size groups. A large table in the middle can accomodate a large group. The staff are always over-the-top amazing. The menu is tapas style has a large variety of dishes, and they change it occasionally to keep it fresh. There are several items that are always on our go-to list including the truffle brussel sprouts, chicken legs, pork belly, grilled veggies and the flourless chocolate cake. The owners Christina and Jason are terrific people. Super easy to work with when we planned our anniversary party.

Tofte's has small plates (tapas) so beware when looking at the menu. Prices seem extremely…read morereasonable until you see that you don't get full sized entrees. We started with the Brussels sprouts. They seemed deep fried, which isn't my preference, but we loved them. Garlic aoeli and Parmesan was an unexpectedly good flavor. They then served the roasted beet arugula salad. Although we don't like beets we loved this salad. One serving gave each of three of us a decent amount of salad. It had a great dressing applied in just the right amount and delicious pickled onions. The roasted beets seemed a touch mushy but were palatable to beet dislikes. Next we moved onto the scallops. We highly recommend them they arrived on a bed of pasta with some vegetables and a wonderful cream sauce. We loved them. Just be aware you need to say how many scallops you want. It's $8 per scallop. We finished with the beef tenderloin. Be careful with your requested doneness. We asked for medium rare and received rare. Otherwise they had a nice crunchy sear and a delicious flavor and accoutrements like mushrooms and the most smooth, creamy, and flavorful garlic mash I've ever had. It had five good sized slices. These three dishes filled up three of us. They serve one plate at a time which gives your meal a relaxed, social feel and also gives you time to digest. It takes about 20 minutes for the brain to receive the message you are full so I think dining at this relaxed pace allows you both to get the full flavors of each dish and also to eat just the right amount and not overeat. The only bad part of the meal was the espresso martini. Don't get it. I've tasted way better. Didn't even finish it because of not great taste.
