The shop needs to be taken out of town this man the owner is very rude. He's been like that since early 2000s with a bad attitude never comes behind the counter and listens to your vehicle never points out any type of speakers amps anything he talks about how long he's been in business and his own vehicles, which is nothing important on what I came in to talk about, which is my own vehicle. He started talking about it. Tax time I made a mistake of putting the wrong speakers in his pricing was outrageous. Once he told me the price I told him when can he do it? He told me next week which should've been the next day, he needs a reality check do not go to him go to Waynesboro sound so good audio he definitely takes the time out to assure you on your budget and stay on track. I went in to get an estimate on stereo for my truck. The guy told me it's highest quality, I went to WalMart bought the same Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth for almost $150 less than same over priced stereo. Was also highly rude when I asked what size speakers I would need, and price to install was ridiculous. read more

Less than 1 Star. I drove out of county to go see him after I called on the phone. He asked what type of pictures I want. Later he said that just looking at the car from behind his counter it will not be a cheap job, from 2500 to 3000, adding that he was very busy and didn't have the time to show me what he has unless I agree to his prize range. If he didn't bother going to look at the car, he might have as well asked what type of car and give me a rough estimate range rather than make me drive over there and he didn't even come out to look at the car. this shop was very, VERY rude when i came in to ask for a price estimate. Usually, shops would just tell you a basic price range depending on what you want. no. this man told him that i need to come back when he's ready to buy. mind you, im just trying to learn more about the stereos so buying is easier in the future. i then asked if they just sell equipment so i can install it myself and the guy tells me i can "just go to Walmart and get cheap stuff" as if i cant afford their services?? The man told me "i'm not gonna tell you much about them because you're gonna end up buying online." I went in today to get a new box for my professionally installed JL audio 12" subwoofers and fuses for the amp. I tell the guy I don't know much about it but I have cash and credit card. He tells me he has 35 years experience. Then rudely tells me he can't help me because he does not know JL audio. The dimensions of my trunk. The dimensions of the box. The type of fuses. I point to my car and say it's all right there. He rudely tells me again he has 35 years experience. I need to go somewhere else. I wanted to pull him over the counter by his throat! read more

worst customer service ever. my husband when to get an estimate for a new stereo for our car, the guy was extremely rude, saying "he's not there to play games" who playing games when we just asking for prices or some information. I bought a subwoffer, amp, and wiring harness from Thumpin car stereo on March 1st. I had it installed elsewhere because I knew that they charge ridiculous prices to install equipment. Today is March 25 and the subwoffer has already blown. I called and they said I had to contact the manufacturer and deal with them. So now not only did I pay $250 for a 10" speaker that has blown in less than a month I have to pay to ship it to a manufacturer that has no idea of the situation. I could understand if I had the speaker for several months or years but we are talking about 25 days and they won't exchange it. I should have went with my gut when I dealt with the rude owner when I was trying to just get info and prices when I bought it. He said they don't do estimates, but I was excited to finally get a system for my car from Thumpin'. Don't waste your money on these people. They are rude and only want your money. I should be able to come and exchange the speaker. I was told because I did not have them install it there was nothing they can do. This was not said when I purchased the equipment even when I told him I was getting it installed elsewhere. It also is not noted on the receipt I got. Very poor customer service. Make sure you get all info or you will get burnt! read more

I just got my new Stereo install yesterday! Overall customer service is excellent and pretty straight forward! When it comes to installation the job was very professional and pretty clean it looks as if it was install by the factory! I have absolutely no complains and highly recommend this place if you want a clean and professional installation! read more

Good customer service until they have your money. Once they have the money there is no customer service. The also DO NOT BACK OR WARRANTY there product or work. Also do very shady work to cut corners and save then selves a buck. For example you should never mount a amp to metal. They mounted an amp for me in the truck and used dry wall screws to mount it to the metal seat support. Should have at least had wood between. Also used random gauge and length wires all over the system even though I paid for new. One sub had a foot of one gauge wire and the 2nd sub had about 6 feet of another gauge wire running to it. That means each sub will get a different amount of power. Spent 1500 on 2 amps and all around highs and wiring and had system issues 2 weeks later. They said I can pay more for them to look at it so I chose to pay someone else and never went back. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place! Paid in cash to have remote start put on my daughters car. Of course he wants it paid in full before he will book appointment that way when you show up with your car he can tell you he doesn't have appointment for your car even when it's written on receipt ! 16 year old daughter n stepmom went to pick car up and the radio doesn't work. Daughter and step mom went in and told Brian about it, but he said he didn't do anything to radio. Daughter was crying because the radio worked fine before he got his hands on it. He told them the radio is bad cuz the car was 16 years old. After calling the Honda dealership, because he unhooked the battery the radio needed reset!! You would think a business that does this every day would've known that instead of trying to get more money for a radio. Brian is rude and arrogant one day that's going to catch up to him. I won't do business with this place or person again, neither should anyone else unless you want ripped off and deal with a arrogant butthole. read more

Bad experience from car drop off, said we didn't have an appointment when we clearly did, per the paperwork we had. Said we would be worked in. We had to drop off the other key, and waited all day for a call the car was finished. Had a remote starter installed. Never called, after we called to check on car they said it was complete. Not sure when they were planning to call and let us know. When we picked the car up the radio wouldn't work, said he never touched the radio, said the car was 16 years old and the radio quit working. It was a coincidence! Funny how the radio worked when we dropped it off. Never would I ever recommend this place or take another vehicle here. The radio didn't work, because when the remote starter was installed it reset the radio/anti theft and the code to the radio needed to be entered. For a place that installs radio they should have know what was wrong! Not that the radio died. The guy was a complete jerk and had a major attitude! Again I would never recommend this place!!! read more

This place, from all appearances looks to be professional. Looks can be deceiving. Spoke with the owner and was se up with an appointment. I asked to have a new stereo with cd player and satellite installed and 2 new 6 x 9 speakers installed. The owner told me that everything would be top of the line and would be awesome... the price was $900.00. the owner told me it would be best to drop the vehicle off as it would take all day for the install. Fast forward... per my dash cam, it took less than an hour for the install . The stereo and speakers are the cheapest junk on the market. Googled and found the stereo and speakers for $59.99... no tax or shipping. Second, the satellite receiver was just stuck to the inside of my dash. Newer windshields have a metallic sheet in them and this renders the receiver useless. Called into get this corrected. Stopped by and was told that he always puts the receiver inside but if all I was going to do was complain, then he would relocate the receiver to the exterior of my truck. He told me that it would take a while that I should just leave the vehicle... oh no, not this time. After waiting for a few minutes, I asked to use the restroom. I was told by the owner that I would have to go back o the Liberty gas station down the street, that his restrooms were private. Left for about an hour and upon my return, mr. stereo installer told me he just finished up. Onc again, the dash cam reported otherwise... 5 minutes in the parking lot with a whole lot of cursing in regards to me. About a week later, I had to visit mr. stereo installer again, this time with the instructions on receiver placement from xmsirius radio. The idiot put the receiver on the dowel vent, behind my wiper arm and it didn't work much better. This time, I stood beside him and watched everything he did. Very incompetent at best. He then tries to bill for his shoddy work. Stereo worked less than 4 months after initial install and he would NOT stand behind his warranty. The weirdest thing about this whole experience is that his 80-90 year old mother will shadow you every where you go and constantly tell you not to touch stuff. Seriously, his mom is his security guard. All around waste of time and money. Dude is definitely in the wrong line of work. read more
