I moved from Chicago to the DMV and found VA has less light pollution than Chicago. I initially thought I would need to buy fog lights but Safe & Sound suggested I get LED bulbs instead. They are cheaper than fog lights and should get the job done. They sold me a 2 sets of Heise 50W bulbs and after a few months, I finally got around to installing them. While the passenger side was easy, I ran into issues with the drivers side and was referred to a shop closer to me for help (Sonic Sound, Arlington). Aside from Sonic Sound finding a small fracture in the bulb lens, all was fine with the install. I drove it tonight for the first time and am 100% satisfied with the results. However, Sonic Sound warned the small fracture could produce condensation. I haven't noticed anything yet.

Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.
