Bangers & Mash
Christina C.

Pros: Large menu, tasty GF options for my GF friends, great private space, yummy burgers, salads, and wings. Ample seating - booths & 4-tops on the restaurant side and high tops on the bar side. Service is friendly. Cons: bangers & mash took 45 minutes, but made fresh. A heads up during lunch hour would have been appreciated. The music is way too loud (I'm not that old, it's just too loud for conversation).

Photos taken and Resturant visited. Before the fire a couple of years back with my daughter. I do hope they re open they were a wonderful little lunch place in the Delmar loop.

After leaving hidden valley we found this spot to eat. The appetizers were great, no complaints. The French dip was okay, I think it was lacking sauce. Otherwise the meat was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The buffalo chicken sandwich was rated 7/10 - juicy but not overly flavorful. The burger was okay. The deserts were phenomenal but pro tip ask for them to be warmed up. The service itself was a little slow.. Our waiter seemed flustered and took a while to check on us so mid way through dinner another server started dropping by to ask if we were okay and everything.

We enjoyed a New Year's day lunch with our dog on the dog friendly patio! We loved the french dip & spicy chicken toasted ravioli. The roast beef was so tender and perfect pair to the crispy bread, and the t-ravs had a great kick! They were very nice to us and our dog and brought many soft drink refills. The patio is heated and very comfortable.

We had lunch here today. Everything was delicious from the fried pickles to the philly cheese steaks, chicken tenders to the seafood stew it was all fabulous. Service was on point too. Definitely will be back

Nice atmosphere in a pub type restaurant. Very attentive, friendly service. A busy Sunday afternoon during the Christmas season. The menu is a tempting mix of sandwiches, salads, many starter choices, soup...larger meal choices as well. Convenient location.

Kings Double Smash Burger and Sweet Potato Fries

What an environment to enjoy with friends. I treated myself to their smash burger and an order of sweet potato fries. The burger exceeded expectations. The sweet potato fries were okay. I couldn't place it but didn't love the seasoning or it was too much. The rum punch tasted like the beach. So pleasant.

Food was ok but not good enough for the price. It wasn't very busy yet our waitress had 2 different people fun our food at separate times.. Our beers came to the table flat it was my first and last time coming to this restaurant definitely avoid the girl with the white bob she sucks

Fish and chips
Jasmine H.

I was in the area and decided to drop in for dinner. I heard the fish and chips were a crowd favorite so I decided to try it. Plus side, they definitely gave A LOT of fish for the price and they were juicy and tender! On the downside the fish lacked seasoning, which didn't give them any flavor so that was a bit disappointing. But the fries were delicious and is probably now in my top 5 favorite fries in STL.

My understanding is that this place is poetry- or literary-themed, but the vibe, at least during my…read morevisit yesterday, is more Ladies Who Lunch. If you can afford one of the houses nearby, and you'd rather not turn on your oven, you stroll over and have a bite. It must be nice! If I lived nearby, and I had the means, I'd eat here on the reg. I was there to meet members of a local running group for a brief run through the neighborhood and then dinner after. We met on the sidewalk out front, and I noticed that not only did it smell like pizza, but this was the best-smelling pizza I've ever smelled in my life, despite the fact that it was coming from a video arcade (and therefore, by definition, can't be good). It smelled the way Tombstone pizza smells when you're extremely hungry due to being on drugs, when you're like 20... I would imagine. I also noticed that the signage, for this place, is weirdly temporary-looking and/or (if it is in fact permanent) stylistically incongruous. Hmm... Inside is filled with impressively stained wood and would likely smell of rich mahogany if this weren't a restaurant. We were seated at a table for eight or so in a corner that was maybe a little bit cramped, especially if you happen to be ginormous, but I get that square footage here is at a premium. If it were easier to move around, I'm sure they'd just fold that into the price of your sandwich. They brew their own beer, unbeknownst to me, but who doesn't these days? I'm always wary, when I see that a place brews its own beer and it's not an actual brewery, that it might be some guy with a setup in his basement trying to give us all botulism. I decided to have a look anyway, for the sake of citizen food journalism, and I'm glad that I did. I'm no expert on beer, despite my prodigious consumption, but I really liked my Saddle Sore IPA. I had to refrain from pounding it, lest I ended up not being able to make rent. I toyed with the idea of getting a burger, as I do in every restaurant, but I've eaten so many of them lately, and this seems more like a place that *has* a burger than a place where you're better off just getting a burger, if you catch my drift. I ended up going with the Porchetta Louie, and again, I think this was a pretty good choice. I was on a roll last night! Not unlike the sandwich itself. It's served on a hoagie roll with a surprisingly crisp exterior, to the point where it could be used as a weapon. It's not the biggest piece of bread in the world, but it's overstuffed, with a filling that's rich to the point where giving you any more of it could present a liability issue. There's quite a bit of provel cheese, along with thinly sliced pork, kale, pepperoncini and maybe one or two other things. Who knows? The pepperoncini help offset the richness of the provel, and I wish they were more evenly distributed throughout the sandwich. Otherwise, I have no notes. It's a great sandwich. The fries are natural-cut, not unlike at that place in the mall back in the '80s where they'd give them to you in a huge cup. They're better, but somehow less likely to lodge in your memory. They're served with a tiny cup of ketchup, as if to suggest that it's not necessary. I guess it isn't truly, but this is, after all, America. It could be worse. They could give it to you in a gross bottle that they've been refilling since the 1990s.

It was pretty empty when I came in and I had my pick of bar seats. I loved the rustic decor with the wood of the bar and exposed brick on the wall with a lot of natural light. I was able to try a few beers before picking one and the bartender was helpful in selecting one I'd like. A plus to me that they brew their own beer in house. If you're a beer drinker I definitely recommend coming in for one. For food I ordered a cup of Mac & cheese and later the porchetta louie. Mac & cheese was just ok I personally think since it's noodles with a liquid sauce vs baked serving it in more of a shallow bowl would be better as the sauce pools in the bottom and the cup is too small to stir the noodles. Also using a smaller noodle would help with this as it kind of felt like I was just eating noodles. The porchetta louie was GOOD STUFF, I recommend! I do wish there was more pork to the sandwich because the cheesiness of it was a little overwhelming but the kale and peppers perfectly compliment the fatty of the pork and the richness of the cheese. Will order again! I'd also like to say their house cut chips are the real deal! So addicting! Perfectly crispy and salted and a great portion. Overall a great experience. The bartender was lovely, beer was great, the service and kitchen was efficient, and the food was great. I'll definitely bring some friends and come back again

I had the Steak au Poivre and all in all I'm not mad at the dish. Not amazed, probably won't order it again, but it's well balanced between the grits and the asparagus. Asparagus was a bit less crispy than my preference but not bad. The steak was seasoned well and cooked to my preferred temp, I just don't think the green peppercorn sauce complimented it well. The only really negative thing about the place is the volume it can get to, it was a bit hard to hear who I was eating with. Otherwise I think the ambiance was homey and cozy and the lighting was soft for an enjoyable evening. I'll likely visit again sometime!

When I was half way through it, I ordered Thai Chili Wings and Truffle Fries. I liked my wings, they were spicy and the sauce was sticky. I'm a stickler for my order having the same amount of flats and drums and Crafted made me happy. The Truffle Fries were a major disappointment. I should have gone with an order of regular fries instead. My Truffle Fries were undercooked, limp and too much Garlic Parmesan sprinkled on top. When I was half way through my wings & fries, I ordered a Manhattan Cocktail, up. I will give credit to the young man bartending, he masterfully made both of my adult beverages memorable. The restaurant itself is quite small and is located on the other side of Yellow Belly. The entrance has minimal space that looks to be able to accommodate 4 or 6 people if you're waiting for a table. Inside, the spacing is fairly decent for being a smaller location. I didn't feel too crammed dining and the 2-seater table was of normal size so there was enough room. We were seated right by the entrance with a curtain separating the area. True to its name, a Tiger statue sits at the entrance which is decorated in tropical manner. The theme continues within the restaurant. Lazy Tiger has a happy hour which if I remember correctly, ended at 6:30. Their cocktails are $12 during happy hour (rather than $14) and they have a selection of snack type items which you could have as appetizers if you'd like. We both got a cocktail. My husband had the human costume (gin, amaro, blanc vermouth, melon, gnartruese, malic acid) and I had the humble brag (gin, rhum, salted banana, forbidden rice, coconut, lemon). Both were refreshing and different but in a good and surprising way. We started with the nachos from the happy hour menu and added some pork belly per our writer's recommendation. I love pork belly anything anyway. The nacho was a huge serving! And it was very tasty with a good amount of crispy pork belly peppered throughout. I had the Morrocan spiced halibut served with couscous, asparagus, Spanish chorizo, tomatoes, pistachio dukkah. Halibut was well seasoned and prepared perfectly. We also shared an order of the vegetable fried rice and added some spam because I am a sucker for spam fried rice. It came with some chili crisps which brought the dish to another level. My husband had the tamales which he thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't get to try some but it looked fantastic. We ended up taking home the rest of my meal and the rest of the fried rice which have been devoured over the weekend. Service was fantastic. I love the vibe, I love the food!

This is a brewery so they have lots of beer options. I can't speak to the quality of the beer. Since I have Celiac Disease, I checked ahead of time and made sure that I saw lots of wine on their drink menu as well. Since it was 4PM when I arrived, I asked about any happy hour specials. Sadly, they told me there were only beer happy hour specials, no wine specials. I ordered a glass of white wine from their menu and got what I thought was a small pour of an only so-so glass for the price. I did like that you order your drinks in a separate line, and you can pay as you go like I did or start a tab. This is great for a large group like ours. The first cocktail I chose wasn't available; nor was the first entree. I settled on the "red wine flight", and it arrived in three glasses. The server recited their names, but I didn't catch them. Food was middle of the road. A smoked sirloin sandwich was tasty, though rather well-done. And the order of "salmon cakes", which the menu says is made of "smoked salmon, roast corn, tomato, cucumber, creme fraiche, and capers" was in fact just one cake (not cakes!), smaller than a hockey puck (about 1/2" thick max) and seemed to be made of canned fish, not the bright orange of smoked salmon. It was accompanied by five thin slices of cucumber and three or four halved grape tomatoes. No corn, no capers. It was so boring, and an overpriced disappointment at $23. If this Bridge is actually closing and focusing on the event space, they've gone out with a whimper. And if they're actually continuing service, I hope they get the food a little closer to the menu descriptions. Our drinks and water glasses were empty for long stretches.
