Butterscotch dirty soda
Marley R.

Super quick service, like to the point where we ordered and had two burgers ready in less than 4 mins. The burgers were okay, nothing special and our fries were not warm anymore. Not sure if they just have it all out and heat it up? Anyways the drink was eh. Got a dirty diet soda with butterscotch - super sweet so only had a few sips. We came around 4:30pm so maybe that was too early? Overall glad we tried it.

Ive been to the Delmar Loop location. However, this is my first visit at this location. Got me a frosty mug of cream soda at arrival. So good and bottomless! My husband ordered the meatloaf entree and I got the grilled chicken sandwich. The menu is quite extensive and lots of options for vegetarians and vegans. Salad was excellent and my husband enjoyed his entree as well. Great place to catch a bite to eat before or after seeing a movie at Ronnie's . Service was great. Family atmosphere. We will be back!

What a cute place! We sat at a table where we could watch them bottle the root beer and that was fun. If you order a root beer soda, which I recommend, they serve it in a frosty mug and it's delicious!! The food portions are quite generous. My mom ordered the chicken pot pie and it was delicious and served with a choice of sides. I ordered the fish tacos and got 3, they were tasty and full of fish. The corn was very good as well with cotija cheese sprinkled on top. Our waiter was great.

Last minute Dinner before the Movies!!! It has been awhile since we have been to Fitz's. We were seated right away. We decide to split the Patty Melt... and they actually gave us 2 plates with our own half and fries!!!! The Chocolate Malt was sooo good plus you get what's left brought to you so it's good to share that as well!!! The decor is very cute!!! Soda all over the place and you can watch them bottle it! Our Server Dylan was very nice and attentive.

We had a party of 10 tonight. Our server handled it perfectly. Everyone had something different and everything came out hot and delicious. Two stand outs were the gumbo and the pork nachos. Plentiful and absolutely delicious. A definite I'll be back restaurant!

What a cool and unique place. I mean it's like an old time factory with full time tours. You can have your meal and see them bottling the root beer. Really wide variety of food options big portions, good service and yes they have an unlimited version of the frosty mug root beer and cream soda. Very tasty super good food

Back after several years and was happy with our service, food and the atmosphere! Haven't been since shortly after this location opened... today I had the meatloaf while everyone else had sandwich type foods - everyone was satisfied! Of course we couldn't resist those enormous super floats! Trolley car and orange dreamsicle were mine & my boyfriend's...so much ice cream!! We all left stuffed and happy so we'll go back again since it's closer than the Loop for us!

I absolutely love this place. It's got a huge menu, and everything they serve is excellent. I keep coming back to the King Louie (made with a turkey burger). Fries are good. The floats are something you have to experience for yourself. They're huge and creative and so good. And their salads are surprisingly good. And huge. It's a bit of a pricy place to eat, but the food is so good and always results in a taking home a full second meal for Lots of seating. Friendly service. Just make sure they bring your silverware before your food (a weird glitch in their approach means sometimes that doesn't happen and you're sitting and waiting with your food in front of you). The soda is so good and homemade. Bottomless frosted mugs and you can switch between flavors. Try the Cardinal Cream!

We made a stop between hockey games to Fitz's and weren't disappointed. Service was great. I had the Waldorf Salad and it was so good! ( I will be ordering this through door dash for lunch at work in the future!). The kids enjoyed the atmosphere and the game room. (A change machine would be nice since we had to ask 3 different people Before we could get change though. I think the ice cream speaks for itself! They are large and if you can agree on one splitting it might be the way to go instead. Fast service and a good time was had!

The parking is nice as they have a large lot shared with 2 other businesses. The wait typically isn't long. The staff is nice and attentive. The food is ok. The pizza is too doughy, the chili is bland. The fries taste off. Maybe it was an off day but still no excuse. We didn't complain but said never again. The quality seems to have gone a bit downhill. I don't think we'll come back for the food but the floats are a must. They have so many soda flavors you can mix with chocolate or vanilla ice cream. Oh, and the size is huge. We always order more soda nevers they put a massive amount of ice cream which my son and husband love. They have a game room which is cool.

I had never been to Fitz's, but I like their root beer so why not go?! We were greeted and seated right away. To get to the hostess stand, you have to pass the merch - all their sodas and some T-shirts. The place is pretty big. It also is dingy and needs updating. We ordered our food and it came fairly quickly. A few of us got root beer shakes (vanilla ice cream and root beer blended). They were dripping and messy and sticky and so was our table within seconds. Not sure how many napkins we used trying to stay ahead of that mess. We all ordered burgers and they were good. They're also pretty big. We paid the up charge to get onion rings. They were very heavily breaded - too much. Overall, everything was just okay. I doubt I'll go back unless I'm with people who want to g

Now how funny would it be if I were to say how cool this place is. In which it is. That is a compliment by the way. The service was fast and our waitress was patient and friendly. Restrooms, seats and tables are plentiful clean. Lots of art on the walls and the set-up is jazztastic! The vibes of this place rock. Food is super tasty. Fries are crispy and the burgers come out smoking hot! Soda floats are delicious too, and all meals I found to be well proportioned. My second time going here, better than ever.

Smores Float

An iconic STL stop! Anytime I bring a new visitor home, this is a mandatory stop! The food is good (nothing crazy), but the root beer floats are the stars of the show. Pro tip- order a float "to split". They are massive, and even large when they are split. Then you get two more realistic sized floats for one price! This location gets the job done. It's not as famous at the Delmar location, but the wait times are also much shorted. Fun vibes and delicious root beer!

But Shelly's 'Smashburgers inside Midwest petroleum in Sunset Hills (at the corner of Gravois and Lindbergh across from Sunset Ford) has quickly become my favorite go-to place in the St Louis area for smashburgers. I've ordered delivery from there once and I have eaten there in person once. Delivery from GrubHub was hot and delicious. Ordering and eating moments after preparation whilel the fries and burger was steaming hot. I ordered a Shelly's double burger with cheese with the standard toppings (American cheese, pickles and mustard) and garlic parmesan french fries each time. When I ordered by delivery, I also ordered a second smashburger thinking that the burgers would be small. Regarding visiting the burger place in person. Except for the fresh grill, it's a standard gas station convenience store. There is a small amount of indoor seating however I chose to eat mine in my van so I didn't get good pictures of the smashburgers in the huge amount of garlic parmesan fries that I ordered as a side. Everywhere I moved, somebody needed to be where I was or they started standing in line behind me even when I was nowhere near line, when I was standing in front of the candy. Everyone is saying how great this but I think they just want to tell people that they got a Smashburger in a gas station. It really is no better than steak 'n and actually not as greasy delicious. The sign says made fresh to order but what it doesn't say is they wait till they get a bunch of orders and then make all the orders at once. That's at least what the cashier said to me. But I also heard him telling people that it would be three minutes. So the whole experience just wasn't great and we won't be back. Steak 'n Shake is literally less than 2 miles away. We got a combo and you get a large soda. We got the garlic Parmesan fries and it wasn't very good. I think in addition to getting that garlic powder on there, you need some salt and so I would say they were much more garlic forward than Parmesan. There was not a good balance. So there you go. Oh, by the way, the candy was on sale two for five, but you had to have the card which he didn't ask me if I had. But without it each one is like $3.75 with tax. That's a lot of money for candy.

We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, some empty tables when we left. We ordered the fried green bean appetizer to start after reading good reviews on them, I ordered the breakfast burger and my table mate ordered the sticky burger. When the burgers showed up about 20-25 minutes later we were asked if there was anything else we needed. I had to say yes, we were missing the green beans, but at this point we'd just go ahead and cancel that order. No problems. I won't go into details about everything but to point out the negatives that happened on our visit, my bun was relatively burned. Anyone in the kitchen could have caught that and taken a few minutes to grill up another. It took only about a minute for the bottom bun to succumb to the wet burger patty and become a squished piece of wet dough. The other big downfall, and this isn't much the fault of the business, but the place is a cacophonous mess. It doesn't come across perfectly in the video accompanying this review but the place was LOUD. We had to raise our voices to hear one another or speak to the server. Not somewhere you would go to comfortably hang out with someone, sit and visit for a few. Five stars on the whole, one star ding for the few things mentioned. But it's not a total loss, I'm sure we will be back for a second visit and to give an updated review. Maybe I'll try something other than a burger, we shall see! Ciao!
