I wanted to love this place. I really did. But it was not meant to be. Unlike some other reviewers we found the staff to be quite enjoyable and personable. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, some empty tables when we left. We ordered the fried green bean appetizer to start after reading good reviews on them, I ordered the breakfast burger and my table mate ordered the sticky burger. When the burgers showed up about 20-25 minutes later we were asked if there was anything else we needed. I had to say yes, we were missing the green beans, but at this point we'd just go ahead and cancel that order. No problems. I won't go into details about everything but to point out the negatives that happened on our visit, my bun was relatively burned. Anyone in the kitchen could have caught that and taken a few minutes to grill up another. It took only about a minute for the bottom bun to succumb to the wet burger patty and become a squished piece of wet dough. The other big downfall, and this isn't much the fault of the business, but the place is a cacophonous mess. It doesn't come across perfectly in the video accompanying this review but the place was LOUD. We had to raise our voices to hear one another or speak to the server. Not somewhere you would go to comfortably hang out with someone, sit and visit for a few. Five stars on the whole, one star ding for the few things mentioned. But it's not a total loss, I'm sure we will be back for a second visit and to give an updated review. Maybe I'll try something other than a burger, we shall see! Ciao! read more

It's a cute little spot to grab lunch or dinner. It reminds me of a mom and pop style restaurant. I completely recommend the pork steak with a loaded baked potato!!! We don't get to South County near enough but when we do this is our go to place for great food. I had the all American burger pictured below and my wife had the Jalapeno Popper Burger. Both burgers were delicious and would definitely order them again. Recommend looking at the menu before going as there are lots of burger options. Restaurant was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our waitress Sunny (not sure of the spelling) was wonderful. She took care of and made sure we did long for anything. The server was very attentive with our drinks. It was the Monday before Christmas, and it was quite crowded, but not too loud. Our main complaint was when you order burgers medium rare at a burger establishment, and they come out well done. The server offered to send the burgers back, but my husband is a diabetic who needed to eat right then. Rarely do I leave negative reviews, but this experience at The Concord Grill deserves one. First burger: completely unseasoned. Sent it back and order something else. Second burger: I had to step outside to feed my newborn. When I returned, an older man (probably the manager) told me, very rudely, that my medium-rare burger had magically turned medium-well just from sitting on a plate for 15 minutes. The burger was remade again, but he made sure I knew in an annoyed tone that he "wasn't taking it off the bill" and that the burger had now "cost them $35." Fast forward 30 minutes and a drive home, and here's the kicker: the burger was STILL medium-rare. Apparently, physics takes a coffee break when I'm around. Mistakes happen. What doesn't happen is being treated with hostility while trying to feed a baby and get a decent meal. A simple apology would have sufficed -- instead, I got a masterclass in magical burger science. Great grill in what at one time was a Velvet Freeze and the place has a lot of historical photos in there. They have a full bar, lunch specials, weekday specials and is kid friendly. The menu had a nice selection with plenty to offer even desserts. I had the Smokehouse Burger and it was excellent, party was cooked perfectly and seasoned well and covered with bbq sauce, bacon and onion straws plus perfectly seasoned fries. This is the second time I've been here. The first time was a few years ago and I don't remember much about it. It's a decent sized place, but not big. There is also patio seating, but it was too hot to sit outside. They're known for their burgers. I think there are 28 or so of them. One side of the menu is burgers and the other side is everything else. The service was okay. I think we had three different people taking care of us at different points during the meal. They weren't unfriendly, but they also weren't friendly. They were just doing their job. The water was contaminated (according to the first staff person who approached us) so they had free bottled water and a few soft drinks in cans. They also have a full bar. The bacon on my burger was overcooked and some of it was burned. Other than that, it was good. We also ordered the breaded mushrooms as an appetizer. The best part of breaded mushrooms is the horseradish sauce. The sauce basically had no flavor. Overall it was just okay. read more

I took my Mother and Grandmother to the Grant's Farm Holiday Lights so we were looking for somewhere to eat after. I suggested The Concord Grill. I hadn't been here in years but when we got here on a weeknight it was packed! After reading over the menu I decided on Burger #24 in the 6oz size. It has port wine cheese and bacon. Yum! I asked for the burger medium and the fries extra crispy. The seasoned fries are excellent. I thought the burger was a bit dry but the port wine cheese made up for it. I love how it melts a little. The other orders were another burger and fries and the Concord Mac. We were all very happy. We contemplated a fried Twinkie but were just too full. Service was speedy and friendly. Well, well, well. Today my two friends and I went to the Concord grill. I had gone in 2017 with my mother and the service and food were horrible. Today, the food was amazing, and our server was so attentive, friendly, and listened to our questions. I ordered the same thing that I did in 2017, a garlic burger and fries. The burger was perfect, as I asked for just a bit of garlic and medium well. The seasoned fries were crispy and so good. My friend ordered the dumpling soup and green beans. Also , very good. I ordered a Reuben burger and it came with the hamburger cheese no sauerkraut and I asked medium well on my burger. I opened it. Look to see how much sauerkraut was on my and there was none. I asked if I could get told me there on it little I asked for extra sauerkraut. They had a bad attitude given it to me, and my burger was raw. I paid $16.16 with tax. The burger was $15. I took two bites because my burger was raw so I threw it out mashed potatoes size of an ice cream lady that very rude the staff is just like her lazy and very rude. I wouldn't recommend anybody to go there. two people in the whole restaurant now I know why they are cheap. I gave them zero stars that's what they deserve very rude which is a lady and the staff is just like her. Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Our server was the absolutely sweetest lady, I wish I would have grabbed her name. It's a causal, comfy bar with plenty of tables and parking around back. It's located in a safe area. The burger meat is apparently from Kendrick's (my favorite butcher shop) and is absolutely phenomenal ! My boyfriend got the breakfast burger and I got the Cajun and we both inhaled them along with the fries (amazing house seasoning). I really wanted to like this place. I'd read that their burgers were phenomenal. Unfortunately the service was atrocious and the food cold. Took an hour for our burgers to come out and when they did the burger and fries were nearly cold. We ordered another round of beers when our food arrived and after 15 minutes waiting I walked inside and found our server and told her to ca cel the beers and to please bring the check. After 10 minutes waiting on the check I walked inside again and found her and l paid the bill. It has been a long time since we ate at The Concord Grill. I got a Groupon so we decided to check it out again. The building has been remodeled which is nice. There are plenty of TV's so you can catch whatever game you want from any seat. The drinks were good and strong. Wmthe Fried Artichoke Hearts with melted butter were Delish!! I had the Fried Chicken Wrap with hot sauce on the side. It was good. I have the other half for a snack later The hubby got the Steak Sandwich with peppers and provel with a side of Au Jus!! My hubby and I went here for lunch the other day. It had been a while since we have been. I got the regular burger. I appreciate that it is not a smash burger. I'm just not a fan of those. I am dairy free so when I get a burger it is always just a plain burger. It was cooked perfectly but I made the mistake of saying just a plain burger and I didn't get any accompanying condiments like onion, pickles etc. I will remember next time to ask for those. Anyway I also got the special chicken veggie soup. It was good but had way too much corn. My hubby got a cheese burger and fries which were seasoned. I usually don't like seasoning on fries but these were subtle. The service was just ok. It wasn't too busy so it was quiet but if full I bet it could be noisy.
